great book
Not great literature but entertaining.
This is a well written book with a sick story line. Sick in the fact that it reminds the reader of the sick world we live in and how the defenseless are preyed upon, abused and murdered. The reader can’t help but side with the main character as justice, though inappropriate, is rendered. Not only that, the twisted story line grabs you and throws you into a state of confusion as the skeletons come out of the closet. This was really a great read but be prepared for the sickness that is normally behind closed doors to be brought out into the open.
Not sure if I really liked it, but I did enjoy the book. I know that doesn’t make sense, but I’ll say this. There is a right way and a wrong way to bring about justice. As I understand Lucy Kendall’s reasoning behind what she does, I can’t believe someone that has been trained in police tactics and has any moral compass about killing another for ‘only their reason’ could do the things that Lucy does and gets away with it.
This reminded me of the show Dexter where the serial killer was the bad/but good guy.
Saying this, I have read other books by Ms Green and given them better * ratings.
“All Good Deeds” by Stacy Green is a book readers will not be able to put down until it ends. Then they will want to read the next book and then the next. Lucy Kendall is a private detective who searches for and finds sexual predators. Her older sister was molested by her mother’s boyfriend when Lucy was a young girl and committed suicide after her mother would not do anything about it, even getting angry with her sister for telling her that she was molested. Before she died, she told Lucy not to ever let the man near her. When the man did try to attack Lucy, Lucy cracked his skull with a baseball bat. Her angry mother reported her and she was taken to juvenile court. When Lucy got older, she got a job with Child Protective Services. While working for them, she realized that she really could not help the children in her care. Thus, Lucy decided that she would take matters into her own hands by permanently getting rid of the molesters, always making sure their deaths looked like heart attacks. Then Justin Beckett comes to Lucy after one of her dealings with a molester and tells her he is a sociopath just like her. He has been following her and knows how she is permanently ridding the world of molesters. Suddenly eight year old Kailey Richardson does not arrive home from school and Lucy links her disappearance to one of her previous cases, that of a young man who had just been let out of jail even though Lucy talked against his release because he had raped and killed his female playmate when he was just eleven years old. Lucy tries to find Kailey and Justin offers to help her. Readers wonder if Lucy will get caught getting rid of the child molesters, if Justin is really like her and if they will find Kailey alive or sadly, find her body and then deal with her kidnapper.
this was indeed a gripping story. I look forward to reading more from this author
Sometimes there’s a thin line between right and wrong, and as this book demonstrates, that line can be blurry. What would you do to protect children?
Good book!
This is a wonderful book that reminds you of child abuse in the worse way. It was an incredible story that I read in one sitting. The author writes in a way that you are able to feel the pain of those being abused and their families. It also shows the dedication of some people to stop the sick people who are forever doing these things. It also shows that some accused can be mislabeled as child abusers. I will be following this author for more.
Lucy Kendall avails herself as a crusader against the dark evils of child exploitation. While her practices may seem unethical to some, she achieves results time and again! Stacy Green has created one of my favorite darker heroines and I have read several of her tales of salvation for children being sold into slavery in today’s dark world.
,loved the storyline . And the fact that it kept me wondering
I didn’t like the main character, Lucy. She’s a serial killer/vigilante killing pedophiles. Lucy’s premise is to kill those that hurt children because her sister had also been molested and later her sister commits suicide. Lucy herself is troubled. She never dealt with her sisters death. Somehow being a serial killer, of pedophiles, she is justifying her behavior.
I enjoyed this book so much my husband is reading it!
Did not like this book… couldn’t finish it! Did not like the characters.
It was a good read. Good characters
This book tells of the horror that actually happens..I feel this kind of writing helps keep people alert
enjoyed it but did not like the way book stopped without conclusion.
Lots of twists and turns in this book. Enjoyed it!
Oh my this story was so intense i just couldn’t put it down. Introduced a subjects i knew nothing about. The struggles of getting beyond a catastrophic event were truly eye opening and often hard to read.
Interesting how the mind of some people justify what they choose to do.
