Some crushes aren’t meant to be
When her older brother’s best … meant to be
When her older brother’s best friend left to join the Foreign Legion, eighteen-year-old Célie moved on to make a life for herself as a Paris chocolatier. Now, five years later, the last thing she needs is another man to mess up her happiness.
Let alone the same man.
But five years in the Foreign Legion is a long time for a man to grow up, and a long time to be away from the woman he loves.
Especially when he did it all for her.
Half strangers, more than friends, and maybe, if Joss Castel has his way, a second chance…

Slow and repetitious
Not my style
This book could not keep my interest. The main character was not believable.
Story would have been just as good if cut in half. Too much of the same indecisiveness.
This book was hard for me to really get in to. I couldn’t identify with the heroine and felt she was just childish.
Long, drawn out story. Slogged through to the end.
Hard to follow.
I loved the characters and their authentic feelings. So sweet and sincere, deeply romantic.
The same theme continues over and over and over. She’s mad he left her. He left to make himself better for her. There are glimpses of a new beginning but then the same old, same old appears once again on the pages. I stopped reading it.
Too long, drawn out; too much introspection; I couldn’t finish it, but I’ve loved her other books. This one just dragged on and on.
Kept looking for it to be captivating. It was kind of a hard read
You feel the tension and frustration in their interactions.
I really couldn’t get into this book.
I really liked this story. It was translated from French and there were still some French phrases U didn’t understand
Avoid

I read 1 book a day. I have read over 1000 in the last 3 years. This book was amazing! I thought it to be in the top 10 I have read.
Sweet- nice to see a female character who doesn’t want and resists being treated like a princess
