Mitch finds the family he’s always wanted and a love he never expected. When his past threatens his new life, he finds he’s not alone anymore. His brothers have his back and Charlotte will never let him go. Sigh! ALL FIRED UP is an action-packed, sexy, feel good page-turner about family and that love conquers all.
ALL FIRED UP (Road to Love #3) by Lori Foster is a new contemporary romance with a suspense element in the Road to Love series. Even though this is the third book in the series, it is easily read as a standalone.
Charlotte Parrish was taken in and unofficially adopted by the Crews family when her mother passed away. The brothers have always treated her like their little sister. She gives as good as she gets while managing their office for them. Charlotte loves her job and the all the Crews, but when it comes to her dream man, she would prefer someone not attracted to danger, but someone she would not have to worry about on the job and wanting to settle down.
On the way home from a job delivering a dog to the shelter, Charlotte’s car gets a flat and leaves her stranded outside the local bar. When a drunken regular starts bothering her, a stranger appears out of the shadows and rescues her.
Mitch Crews has come to town to meet the half brothers he has never known. When he helps the stranded Charlotte, he has no idea his brothers are about to show up. He is immediately drawn to Charlotte’s kindness, sass and vulnerability and he knows she is too good for an ex-con like him.
When Mitch’s past comes looking for him, Charlotte and his new found family are in danger. Mitch will learn he is no longer alone and family fights together.
Charlotte and Mitch are wonderful characters that worked out to be perfect for each other. I do not feel they were exactly opposites, because in the end they really were looking for the same thing for their futures. This is a slow building romance even with the instant attraction. The sex scenes appear towards the end of the book and are explicit, but not gratuitous. Ms. Foster could not have made me happier with Mitch’s dog. I love my pitties and Brute was a great addition to the story.
This romance has a hero who really deserves a HEA, a heroine who is sweet and strong, a family that sticks together even as secrets are revealed and danger stalks them and lovable rescue dogs. I highly recommend this romance even without reading the first two in the series.
I’ve read book 1 in this series and it’s made me hunt down book 2 now because there were hints of the characters lives in this one.
Great story, I was hooked from the beginning. Mitch and Charlotte made a wonderful couple, he might have been bad but it was for all the right reasons and his new family could see that. I enjoyed the slow burn of their relationship it made the ending so worth it.
Lot of other tension in this book, something is going to happen. Someone is out for revenge. Will one of the family be hurt? I was on the edge of my seat. Fantastic read, I highly recommend it.
After a messed up childhood and a stint in prison, Mitch has been busy establishing his new business and moving into new house, all with the end goal of introducing himself to his half siblings. Mitch’s plans derail after he finds his attention snagged by Charlotte as he comes to her unneeded rescue outside the local bar. He inadvertently meets his brothers, Brodie and Jack, and their mom, Rosalyn, sooner then planned when they also show up to help Charlotte out.
I enjoyed Mitch and Charlotte’s story. They fit like puzzle pieces. Mitch was cautious and wary of anything resembling happy, but his protectiveness overruled those feelings time and time again. Charlotte was a joyful ray of sunshine that found Mitch flourishing under, even when he was leery of his chance at happiness. Charlotte may not have been as tough as Mary or Ronnie, but she could hold her own when necessary. She was a nurturing homebody with protective instincts towards those she loved, including Mitch.
All Fired Up, book 3 in the Road To Love series, was my favorite of the three. There was a grittier edge and an emotional rawness the first two books didn’t have which I think was due to Mitch’s background. That’s not to say the story was all dark because it wasn’t. Mitch’s dog, Brute, as well as fur-friends Buster, Howler, and the cat-Peanut-provided animal comedy and some riled up animal loving scenes. The Crew family also gave plenty of love, practicality, and united support, with comic relief moments thrown in for good measure.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and this is my honest review.
Riveting!
This was an exciting story. It contained intense action and suspense, as well as heartwarming romance and familial love. Danger lurked at every turn, and I looked forward to finding out what happened next.
The characters in this series are wonderfully defined and intertwined. Mitch and Charlotte were a great couple. Each was so intrigued by the other. Charlotte felt compelled to protect Mitch, who seemed capable of protecting himself. Mitch couldn’t figure out how a sweet woman like Charlotte wasn’t spoken for already, let alone interested in him. It was cute how they tried to rescue each other.
Exciting drama surrounds incredible characters with fierce loyalty, trust and passion. The danger lurks in the shadows of Red Oak as Mitch gets used to his ever accepting newly found family and budding sweet romance with Charlotte. A must read!!!
Terrific book. This is the third in the series and can be read as a standalone, but you’ll get more out of it if you read the others first. This is the story of Charlotte Parrish, the sort-of little sister to Brodie and Jack Crews, and Mitch Crews, the half-brother they didn’t know about. Their father, Elliott, is a man who doesn’t know the meaning of the words fidelity and commitment. The first two books, Driven to Distraction and SlowRide, explain their relationships to Elliott.
Mitch had a hard life growing up with a part-time father, an addict mother, and her drug dealer boyfriend. He’s recently out of a five-year prison sentence received for a stupid decision he made in an effort to protect his mother. She has since passed away, and Mitch arrived in Red Oak, Ohio, looking to meet his half-brothers. He’s not sure why it just feels like something he needs to do. He never expected to encounter someone like Charlotte.
Charlotte was taken in by Ros Crews when her parents passed away. Brodie and Jack have always treated her like a little sister, from teasing to protectiveness. Charlotte gives as good as she gets, keeping them in line as well as their office organized. She loves them, but when it comes to a man of her own, she wants someone less badass and more normal. Meeting Mitch brought out a side of her she didn’t recognize.
I loved the opening pages of the book. It starts with Charlotte having car trouble in front of a bar and being accosted by a couple of drunks. Mitch was hanging around the outside of the bar and noticed Charlotte as she was making phone calls looking for help. Intrigued and attracted, it was fun to see him argue with himself about talking to her, but he didn’t hesitate when it looked like she needed help. I loved the way they immediately connected. Charlotte wasn’t the least bit afraid of him, even when he punched the drunk. Just as Mitch finished, Brodie and Jack arrived, having received her messages. Of course, they went into protective, big brother mode right away, with Charlotte doing her best to call them off. Mitch immediately realized who they were, and wasn’t happy about having his timeline moved up before he was ready. It got even more complicated when Ros arrived. The various reactions to Mitch’s revelations were fantastic. My favorites were Ros’s immediate acceptance, and Mitch’s complete bewilderment at it. I also loved how easily Charlotte could read Mitch’s emotions. This scene was an excellent indicator of how Mitch’s absorption into the family was going to go.
Mitch has only had himself to rely on for so long that he isn’t sure how to handle having a family who wants to be involved in his life. I loved how none of them let him push them away. Even when he tried, they would just keep coming back. There were terrific scenes of everything from family dinners to work parties where he had to learn that family meant everything to them. It was a hard concept for him, and I ached for the way he wanted it to be true but was afraid to believe. Mitch also had the problem of not wanting his past to impact them, but that past was coming for him. I loved the support that he received and the difference that it made to him when he finally believed.
I loved the development of the relationship between Mitch and Charlotte. The connection and sparks were there from the moment they met. Mitch had some bad moments when he realized her relationship to Brodie and Jack, but it didn’t slow him down for too long, though he did have to agree to their conditions at the beginning. His fascination and sheer delight in being with her were sweet. I loved how he appreciated her sass and ability and willingness to stand up for herself against Brodie and Jack. He was also very protective of her, especially when it came to himself. It took him a long time to believe that she would genuinely be interested in him. Charlotte was surprised by her reaction to Mitch but accepted it very quickly. I loved how she understood him and could read his emotions. It warmed my heart to see the way that she smoothed the way between him and his brothers, defended him when she thought he needed it, and stood up for him when she felt it was necessary. I loved how the attraction between them grew until they couldn’t fight it any longer, and their feelings grew right along with it. The biggest obstacle was getting Mitch to believe that they could have a future together. I loved the ending, and seeing Mitch finally feel like he was home.
The suspense of the story was good. We discovered fairly early that Mitch’s mom’s boyfriend is absolutely no good. Upon finding out that she left her house to Mitch, who’d sold it to the state and walked away, he was furious. He was determined to get his revenge and tracked Mitch to Red Oak. It is immediately evident that he has no redeeming features and is extremely dangerous. Mitch was afraid for Charlotte and the others and determined to find the man before he could do any harm. There are some scenes from Newman’s point of view that reveal how bad he is. The tension ramps up as Newman’s plans draw closer to fruition, and Charlotte becomes a target. The final confrontation had me glued to the pages until it was all over. I especially loved how Newman underestimated Mitch and completely blew off Mitch’s family connections. I loved seeing how they all came together to end the threat.
The perfect conclusion to this series! Mitch & Charlottes story was one I highly anticipated because of her sisterly role within the family dynamics! This is an easY FAST PACED read with DEEP FAMILY ROOTS & so much compassion ! The chemistry between Charlotte & Mitch was undeniable from the first moment they met! I highly recommend this book for all the angsty moments & the fast paced action packed emotion ending !
I don’t read many romance novels and almost gave up on this one in Chapter 1 because of all the overt sexual innuendos but the reviews were good so I kept reading and am glad that I did. This was much more than a sappy romance – it was about family and loyalty and love and definitely worth reading.
This is the third book in the Road to Love series but it was fine to read as a stand alone because each book focuses on a different character in the family.
Mitch is an ex-con who has come to town to meet his half brothers who don’t even know that he exists. He isn’t sure what he is truly searching for but he knows it isn’t love. Until he meets Charlotte – then all of his other plans aren’t as important. He expects rejection from his half brothers and what he finds is acceptance and love. Can he expect the same from Charlotte once she finds out about his past? Will they be able to make a future together?
This book is full of suspense and family and lots of steamy romance. I think it’s time for me to read more books by Lori Foster.
This book is gripping…with finding a new family, love of animals, finding new love and fighting off the bad guys Lori Foster gives you something that will leave you mesmerized all the way through.
Mitch Crewes didn’t know exactly what to expect when he got to town but petite Charlotte Parrish wasn’t it.
Charlotte was mesmerized by the man that she met when her car broke down but little did she realize at the time he was a brother to her two bosses Jack and Brodie.
You will not want to put this down for a second.
Remember if you want a pet a rescue is always the best.
I love the Crews family (and extended family). Such a great story of forgiveness, acceptance, and overcoming the struggles/obstacles put in your path. Mitch was such an honorable and respectable man determined to put his life back together, to live the best life he could independently and without taking advntage of anyone. He was so lucky to have Charlotte and the Crews’ family to understand, accept, and support him whether he thought he needed/deserved it or not.
A surprise visitor for the small town!
Was so excited for the third Crew brother, Mitch. Was wonderful to see Jack and Brodie accept their half brother and loved how Mitch took his time with Charlotte, they both had instant attraction but Mitch wanted to do things right and well his big brothers expected him to respect their unbiological sister!
True to form the path to romance has drama to deal with. So plenty of action on the way to a HEA

M/F Romance
This is the third book in this series, however, I have not read any of the previous books. I never felt that I was missing any of the dynamic between the family members.
Charlotte loves her life. But with a car that isn’t cooperating and a couple of drunks, it is a recipe for disaster. Charlotte finds herself being rescued by a very handsome man, Mitch. She is instantly attracted to him and not the least bit wary. Charlotte has been raised by a wonderful family, despite not being blood related. She loves them with everything she has, but sometimes having older brothers can be a pain.
Mitch had a terrible childhood. With a drug addicted mom and an abusive male role model, Mitch got the short end of the stick. When Mitch made the decision to try and help his mom, he paid a steep price. With that behind him, he finds the town that his half-brothers live in. Mitch wants to try and establish some kind of connection, but he’s not sure what he wants for sure.
With Charlotte in trouble, Mitch doesn’t hesitate. But once her family comes to her rescue too, he’s second guessing helping a perfect stranger.
Foster creates characters that you can really relate to. Mitch and Charlotte have great chemistry and I really loved how Mitch’s family embraced him so readily. When his past comes back, Mitch will have to contend with something he’s never had before… a family. This was a fantastic story about acceptance, love, and what’s truly important.

My Rating:
4.5
Favorite Quotes:
Howler’s good with other animals. Basically, he’s an affectionate grandma in a loose suit of fur. If he could bake biscuits, he would.
Good times or bad, family hangs on like a too-tight shirt. You don’t get to outgrow it, you can’t wash it when it’s dirty and it clings even worse when you sweat.
My Review:
This was only my second experience reading the prolific Lori Foster, but I plan to make perusing her engaging stories a frequent habit. I enjoyed her curiously endearing yet flawed characters as much as her compelling storylines with a heinous villain everyone had reason to revile and despise due to his repeated and unthinkable cruelty toward women, children, and animals. The overall emotional tone held a steady thrum of tension and sense of impending peril due to the lurking dangers that were constantly and incrementally building; yet there were also liberal sprinkles of levity, a blossoming romance, curiously tantalizing backstories, steamy sensuality, and captivating family drama interspersed throughout. I had not read the previous books in the series but I adored this extraordinary family and know I would enjoy going back to fully feast on their storylines as well.
All Fired Up is the third book in the series and I completely enjoyed this book from start to finish. I really liked how all the characters interacted and grew as one family if not all by blood but by love and support of each other. I also liked all the animals having a special role in the family. Howler and Peanut always warm my heart. I think the pairing of Charlotte with Mitch was a great match both deserved the happiness they give each other and they are both likable characters.
I received an ARC from Net Galley and this is my honest review.
I’m a huge book fan of Lori Foster and she never disappoints! This story reminded me of an old fashion love story, slow-paced and getting to know someone before moving to the next step. You have to love the Crew family as they are loyal to each other and accept you for who you are! Hope to see more of these characters in the future. Great work, Lori! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy.
Oh I Loved Mitch and Charlotte!
Mitch goes searching for his brothers and ended up having a family that he never thought he would.
Mitch comes across Charlotte who has car troubles and stays by her until help arrives..he did not think he would be faced seeing his brothers and the. He meet Ros who takes one look and know instantly who he is.
There is intrigue inside these pages along with a story behind Mitch and the man he is today.
Charlotte let’s Mitch know about her past and together they learn about each other.. it’s great to see Brodie and Jack Crew along with their wives.
I absolutely love Mitch and Charlotte!!! Actually I loved their whole family! Mitch wasn’t looking for love, he was just looking to maybe know Jack and Brodie and maybe their mom Rosalyn. He didn’t count on Charlotte at all.
He felt something for her when he first saw her but he didn’t think he was good enough. Loved the slow burn between these two. Loved seeing how Mitch’s family went at his pace but pushed him enough to open up more and more. I love how they all stick together no matter what.
I love watching Mitch and Charlotte together. She soothes him and he excites her. Jack and Brodie may be overprotective when it comes to her but will they see that Mitch is the man that she needs? Will Mitch’s past destroy his future though?
I loved this whole series!!
So good! I really enjoyed this book! Lori knows how to get you hooked, that’s for sure. It was fast paced and entertaining. I loved the h/h are awesome! They are perfect together and their chemistry was off the charts. This book was a lot of fun. I highly recommend it!
This has been my favorite book so far in this series. Mitch needs a lot of help but he’s so use to relying on himself that it will take a great woman and new family to help him. Charlotte is a firecracker! She knows exactly what Mitch needs even when he doesn’t. I love how the Crews family comes together and loves Mitch right away. Ros is a force to be reckoned with and I would love to have her as my mother. If you have read any of the other books in this series you will love this one too. If you haven’t you will still love this one as you can read it as a stand alone.
