The instant #1 New York Times bestseller “Ripped from the headlines . . . Combining in-depth, investigative reporting and fresh interviews, the authors effectively tabloid-proof this shocking, celebrity-driven story by lining up the facts and labeling rumors.” –USA Today Aaron Hernandez was a college All-American who became the youngest player in the NFL and later reached the Super Bowl. His … and later reached the Super Bowl. His every move as a tight end with the New England Patriots played out the headlines, yet he led a secret life–one that ended in a maximum-security prison. What drove him to go so wrong, so fast?
Between the summers of 2012 and 2013, not long after Hernandez made his first Pro Bowl, he was linked to a series of violent incidents culminating in the death of Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player who dated the sister of Hernandez’s fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins.
All-American Murder is the first book to investigate Aaron Hernandez’s first-degree murder conviction and the mystery of his own shocking and untimely death.

This book is not written by James Patterson. I almost ordered it, but upon third look realized he is not the author, he’s merely endorsing it. The write up does not address information about the true authors at all, as if it’s an intended slight so the publisher can overcharge. Because of this I stopped reading or following James Patterson years ago. I cannot give any stars to such activity, but one star will get this to accept my comments.
I enjoyed the story of Aaron Henandez. When reading a book written by James Patterson, then you know it will be well written and will keep your interest. C.T.E. is a devistating diagnosis.
James Patterson does really great at writing, so adding true stories to his list wasn’t any problem! His books are wonderful to read, and these were no acception. Keep up the good work, and I will keep on reading them!
What a great book. I’m a true crime fan and this book does not disappoint. I couldn’t put it down. What a sad story of what could have been a great example in the sports world.
Even if you’re not a Pats fan, this is a wicked crazy good book!
A totally different kind of book for James Patterson. It is a true biography of a tragic but deminted former All Star NFL tight end of the New England Patriots. The book traces the twists and turns of his life and what may have caused his actions. The book does not dispute that he committed more than one murders and he seemed to have no remorse. It was an insightful view into Aaron Hernandez.
It seems eerie! This shows action and an intensity. The characters intrigue while it always leaves one in suspense.
Good reading
Very slow in developing and sometimes labored reading.
Great book
Only read the sample; wish I would’ve purchased the book.
Didn’t gloss over the facts.
Although I was aware of some of the details of this situation, this book helped to clarify things and fill in the blanks that I didn’t know. A good read!
Fast paced with lots of details.
I did not know many details about Aaron’s life. Really informative.
This was brutal because it’s real. Good writing as you’d expect.
Factual crime reporting on how a football star indicted for his killing of 1 individual and bizarre like outside of football
This book consolidates the information regarding Aaron Hernandez’s rise and fall from grace. It was informative…the information as presented would leave no doubt that Aaron Hernandez was the guy who would kill and had killed others. I recommend it to others because of its conciseness.
Informative account of the tragedy of a promising young man.
Shows you how much sycophants will cover for you if you are rich and famous
