Aligned: The Complete Series

I am a huge Ella Miles fan! I think she is an amazing story teller that tells the kind of stories you want to read, Aligned was no exception! This four part series was an emotional roller coaster that had me sitting on to the edge of my seat, burning through the pages, just dying to know what happens next.

The story starts with Alexa trying to bring her groceries into her building while on crutches, spilling her items all over the ground and she ends up lying on the floor admitting defeat. She thinks shes alone until Landon stops to talk to her and she basically dismisses him but he doesn’t leave, he actually stays, helps her up to her apartment and ends up helping her put items away. This ends up being the start of an interesting not friendship/friendship/attraction between the two of them. They both have their own secrets and dark pasts, and while they know it can’t work between them they still feel this pull towards each other.

I loved Alexa!! While it took a while to find out all about her past, her accident and her ex I also couldn’t help but feel drawn to her character. She was so broken, both physically and mentally, but she kept finding a way to push through. If there was on thing that she did that frustrated me, it was how she felt/thought/talked about her scars but I have also never had scars like hers so I know I can’t relate and I never let it cloud my judgement of the overall story! Landon was almost unexpected at times.. like when we first met him and he goes out of his way to help Alexa into her apartment, then unpacks her groceries, and even unpacks her apartment. He might want her physically but his ability to hold back and be her friend when she needs it. He isn’t perfect though.. there are times I wish I could just yell at him and make him come to his senses.

There is obviously a lot to the book I am leaving out plot wise.. but I think this is the kind of story you need to go into blind. Part of what I loved about this story was just how we learned things when the timing was right, the not knowing created a need to read to find out what was next.

I definitely recommend this story!

Aligned: The Complete Series by Ella Miles is a poignant, devastatingly touching, heartbreaking four-part series of Alexa (Alex) and Landon.

Volume 1: Alexa is physically and emotionally scarred from an horrific event that occurred a few months ago. While struggling to get her groceries to her condo one day, she is aided by Landon, a neighbor. She is a talented photographer and it turns out her return engagement gig is an up-an-coming rock star…yup. Landon. He wants her and she wants him. But, the past won’t let her go…she suffers constantly.

Volume 2: Alexa tells Landon that nothing can ever happen between them. So, he leaves. They meet up at a gala for her deceased husband. He attends with his ex, Caroline. While Alexa has to deal with her mother-in-law. But, love can’t be denied. Until, the impossible happens….HUGE cliffhanger. Luckily, this is a boxset….so, I can just continue!!!!!

Volume 3: Ethan returns….there’s so much SUSPENSE, angst, unexpected situations, torn emotions….too much!!! I LOVED this series. You just keep getting more and more into these incredibly believable characters….whose lives are simply torn apart…There are sooooo many secrets, so much deceit…ends on another cliffhanger….gotta see what happens!!!! Again, luckily…it’s a boxset!!! I don’t have to wait!!!

Volume 4: Lots of revelations in this last of the series story!!! The truth comes out about LOTS of things!!! Caroline is a horrible nemesis….and that continues in this portion of the series. Landon is at a loss…what a dilemma! Won’t give anything away….Suffice it to say, THIS SERIES IS PHENOMENAL!!!!! BEST EVER!!!! 5++++++ stars!!!! Loved it!!! Ella Miles is an incredible talent!!!

Ever After: basically a short epilogue to the entire series….don’t miss this wonderful wrap-up!!!!

This is a well written series with strong,well developed characters and an intriguing story line. The author does a fantastic job building the story and pulling you in with all the obstacles thrown in their path. It’s an emotional story with suspense and danger as well as the romance. I loved being able to read the books back to back so I didn’t have to wait with the cliffhanger endings. I loved and highly recommend this collection.

Well worth reading. This series is a great read with well developed and described characters. The storyline is engaging, sexy with a lot of chemistry and well thought out, appropriate dialogue with decent editing. The novel takes the reader to the occasional surprise which makes this book a great page-turner without the often predictable progression of many romance novels. I liked the story of Landon & Alexa and would be happy to recommend this well-rounded series to anyone.

I loved the Aligned series. I prefer a standalone because I want to know the ending right away but if I do read a series I love when they are in a box set. I binged the who set in two days, I could not put it down. I loved the chemistry between Alex and Landon. They were perfect together. Landon was amazingly written showing so much vulnerability while still being a “bad boy.” The action kept going right till the end so you never knew what was coming. It was amazing!!! I would give 10 stars if I could.

Aligned – Another great series by Ella Miles

I have been a fan of Ella Miles for a while now but had not read the Aligned series so was really excited when this became available. It was a great series that was well written with a fascinating story-line that kept me on the edge a lot. There is suspense, violence, lies, mystery and more twists and turns than the best Six Flags roller coaster.
This is a really exciting series that I am happy I picked up.

My heart went out to Alex who took the brunt of the pain in this series.
Full of intense drama and angst as her love for Landon was thwarted again and again.
Landon, Drew, and especially Caroline were well developed characters as well, but I wasn’t on board with their messy relationship with each other.
Landon was willing to give up on his love for Alex because of Caroline’s manipulation and lies. Ugh.
While I commend the author for pulling off the healed relationships at the end, I really felt that Caroline was too easily forgiven by them all. I mean, what sane person would plot out and complete such a lie the way she did? It didn’t sit right that she was instantly forgiven with just her confession.
I liked the underlying mystery of Alex’s missing pieces of her memory and the way the truth startlingly unfolded throughout the storyline.
I love this author’s writing style, but I hate cliffys, so this complete box set was a great treat for me!

Glad I could read this a a continuous read… I think otherwise the cliffhangers would have driven me crazy.
I also felt that I connected more with the characters as I read. They seemed to develop along with the story.
All the characters had been through pain and were looking for a way to come out the other side.
This story had me engulfed totally.
The twists and plot turns keep you guessing ( but what Ella Miles Book doesn’t)
This book takes you through a range of feelings… and always keeps you wanting more.
This series does contain some subject matter that may be a trigger for some people.
This series is highly recommended.

Ok so for starters not a book for anyone with triggers for sexual assault or violence. It’s a rough book to read at times. Alexa is a photographer who is LA trying to remember herself and her life. Landon is a famous musician just going through life not looking for anything other than joy because of his success. There is Laura who is Alexa’s stuck up and rich mother in law. Drew is Landon’s twin brother and manager. Caroline who is Landon’s crazy ex and the twins childhood friend. Ethan is Alexa’s husband and the ultimate evil human.
Ethan and Alexa were in an accident on their wedding night. She ended up losing a leg and her memory. She’s also told Ethan is dead. She meets Landon her neighbor in a klutz moment and they connect from there. They have so many secrets, obstacles, ups and downs. Caroline is determined to get and keep her man anyway possible. Drew is there secretly loving Caroline and supporting his brother. Ethan comes back from the dead and tries to get Alexa back. Ethan is the cause of a lot of pain and damage to anyone unlucky to encounter him. He is everything wrong and evil in Alexa’s life. He is her rapist, abuser, murderer and husband. This book is a journey of Alexa trying to find herself, her past, her future and her justice.
I both enjoyed and hated this book. I got so absorbed in all of the drama and suspense. You go on a full emotional roll coaster of emotions. You want to know Alexa’s story as much as she does. You want to shake her and Landon to open their eyes and mouths. You want to punch Caroline, Ethan and Laura. You want to yell at Drew to do something. It’s a good book to read.
