Torn apart for ten years, can they reclaim their love? For as long as Emlan could remember, T’renan had been part of her life – friend, protector, confidant – but when she tried to show the massive alien warrior she wanted more, he left her. When she heard that he had been killed, she couldn’t let herself believe he was really gone.Ten years later, just as she finally starts to move on with her … starts to move on with her life, word comes that he is alive. At first she is overjoyed, but the protective warrior of her youth has been replaced by a bitter, angry male.
T’renan never wanted to leave Emlan, but neither could he resist her innocent advances. A temporary assignment guarding trade routes seemed like the best alternative – until his ship was captured and he was enslaved in the mines of Quatar. Only the memories of Emlan keep him sane during the torturous years of his imprisonment, but when he finally manages to escape, nothing is the same. He has lost everything else – is he going to lose her as well?
Fate kept them apart for ten years; can they overcome the distance between them and find their way back to each other?

This is very heartwarming. It was lots of feels. There was even cause for tissues towards the end. This is just such a great story. Yes there’s romance and sex scenes, but what Tren goes through is the best part of the story. RECOMMENDED.
First, I love this series. Second, this one almost made me cry. The character of Tren is so amazing. What he goes through and how he survives are so well written. And then there is Emlan. She is perfect. All the characters from the previous are in this as the couple try to make a life together but there are some that are determined to destroy them. The romance between the two is strong and intense. It gets pretty hot with these two. Romance, danger and action are plenty in this book.
Well-written Alien Romance that has great characters with depth and history. The story is good and I cannot wait until I see more books from this author. All the one I have read so far are very good. Must read

This was a very enjoyable book. There were grammatical errors it didn’t deter from the storyline. There were parts of the book that were page turning action packed. And of course it did have some steamy parts. All in all I give this book 4.5 stars. Looking forward to the next one
What a fantastically compelling book! This was like the best part of a really cool movie, a story that just kept twisting and growing and moving into little seismic eruptions of storyline that was impossible to put down, but still fed into the main plot and the series trajectory. I loved Tren and Emlan’s relationship from her birth right through to the epilogue. There is a line of tragic hero lumps that Tren takes and I was constantly thinking that the next thing would break him. Then there’s Emlan, ready to settle for the wimpy human dude, until the plot twist smacks her in the face and she rushes to her real fate and her own involvement in the plot morphology. I could not put this book down. I love this entire series, but this one is by far my favorite one of all. I can’t wait to see how the twin sister’s story fleshes out, but you most definitely need to read this one immediately, it is that good!
Emlan and T’renan are a delightful couple! Despite having been separated for ten years, under horrible circumstances (him held prisoner in a slave labor camp, her thinking he was dead), the two actually reconnect surprisingly quickly and easily. It is actually after they are reunited that the trials to their union kick in, coming from a variety of sources. But everything just serves to help them be stronger as a couple. The secondary characters in their tale are enjoyable as well, especially Budra, O’kami, and T’gaira. The story itself is full of intrigue and drama, with several unexpected twists and turns. But it all eventually leads to a very happy ending for this lovely couple.
I did find the backstory a bit lacking and rather confusing. I never was entirely sure what their relationship was before T’renan went away. Did he work for Emlan’s father? Was he her bodyguard? Her betrothed? And if the latter, why did he feel it necessary to leave? None of that was ever made clear, nor exactly what was a L’chka. (Perhaps some of this was explained in other volumes of the series? But not having read any of those except for the prequel, I was a bit lost.)
Still, the story was good, the writing flowed well, and the characters were very endearing. Definitely a sci-fi romance that I would recommend to those who enjoy the genre, and a series that I would be willing to explore further.
Tren is dead. That’s a fact. And Emlan has finally decided to move forward and marry a human who she has known for years. But what would life be like if she could have her true love? Can she actually go through with the wedding? Is there any hope?
I absolutely loved this book! Very well written, with a nice mix of action, sadness and romance. I was hooked from the beginning. I can not wait to read more book in this series.
I felt so sorry for Tren. 10 years a slave and during that time he suffered so much. Thankfully when the option opened, he strived again to escape. Though he had to accept help from his enemy. I can just imagine what he must have felt when he heard that his L’chka was getting married to someone else. I was not fond of Harvey, I was proved correct…. Does Tren get his HEA or does the darkness win?

The fifth book in the Alien Invasion series and what a story as far as I am concerned this is a must read. For ten years Emlan, and T’renan have been apart because he was in a prison mining facility, and he escapes in time to stop her marriage to a human. This was a sweet love story between a Tren, a Yehrin warrior, and Emlan, a half-Yehrin and half-human young woman. They have known each other all of Emlan’s life. As the warrior charged with her security, Tren was a faithful guardian and friend, caring for her and keeping her safe. As Emlan got older, she began to have romantic feelings for him, and it was clear he felt the same way. Except that for the Yehrin, they don’t just feel attraction, they know who are their fated mates. Tren leaves because Emlan is still a teenager and too young to act on the attraction they feel. His departure causes Emlan heartache and eventually leads to a tragedy where she is left in despair. Though Emlan always had hope that she would be one day be reunited with her warrior, after 10 years she decides to move on. The stars align for Tren and he finds a way back to Emlan, but much has changed and their love must face challenges and obstacles to survive. I absolutely loved this love story. I could not put it down. Honey Phillips
We have waited a very long time for T’renan and Emlan’s story. Well, it seems that way! He was in the first book as a young warrior in the beginning when the Yehrin invaded earth and Emlan’s mom, Emily, became the very first mate to a Yehrin warrior. Tren has been through the ringer, but I believe that makes this story that much more marvelous. Emily was about to get married when she hears that Tren is still alive. She immediately abandons her plans and goes to him. During those years, T’renan has been held as a slave and abused by the Quatarans. He made his escape with an unlikely ally, a Vulfar named O’kami. (I believe we may be seeing him in a future book!) Tren is a very changed male. He is extremely angry at the loss of his sight and the injustice he has suffered. In an effort to calm him, Emlan takes him to Eccalia for a honeymoon of sorts. Tren is learning to find peace there and Emlan faces and unknown danger. I won’t give it away. Then Tren is called to negotiate a peace treaty with the Vulfar and things get quite treacherous. Will Tren be able to deal with the Vulfar and the Quatarans and be satisfied with the end results? Will he learn to live with his sight impaired?
Alien Hope was WOW! There is so much story here! Honey really poured her heart and soul into this one and it shows. This book is an adventure, a love story, and a reckoning all wrapped in one edition. Loved it! 5 stars
** I highly recommend you read from the beginning of this series. That is the most adequate way to really connect with Emlan and T’renan’s story.
This may be the best yet!
It feels as if I’ve been waiting forever fo Emlan to be old enough to explore her relationship with T’ren. Their story is here at last, and it’s one I couldn’t put down. In the wee hours, when I sought some sleep, my mind kept thinking about what might happen next. It’s a fact. I love these two, with their devotion so deep it couldn’t be ignored. T’gaira, Okami, and Budra, are each key to T’ren’s recovery, he couldn’t ask for better friends and companions. Awesome storytelling!
Another fantastic read by this author. I absolutely adore this series. It’s fun and original. I love Tren and Emlan. He’s the broken, damaged warrior and she is the only thing that could heal him and make him whole. Even in Tren’s brokenness, though, he’s still the alpha, possessive Yehrin out to claim his L’chka.
