He’s the first father in decades. He has NO clue what he’s doing. Laarn, Lord Healer of the Lathar, is about to become something unique among his people. He’s about to become a father… of a little girl. The first female child born for a generation. He’s studied childbirth, he’s confident that he has everything planned. Unfortunately, as any human female could tell him if he’d bothered to ask, … human female could tell him if he’d bothered to ask, having a baby doesn’t always go to plan…
This short story is set in the WARRIORS OF THE LATHAR world and is not a stand alone. It should be read after PREGNANT BY THE ALIEN HEALER.
more
Alien Healer’s Baby is a short story focussing around the first Human/Lathar hybrid baby being born.
Laarn and Jess where in the book Pregnant by the Alien Healer. The Lathar have no idea about human child birth. This is a new experience for all, as is the arrival of a child; since the Lathar race has had no women for generations.
It’s a sweet edition to showcase the birth of the first hybrid, its impact to those around her, and that life goes on. I enjoyed this short story.

OMG. A real feel good and emotional story.
I just loved this addition to this series but you really need to have read PREGNANT BY THE ALIEN HEALER first.
Loved this short story that basically gives us the safe arrival of Laarn and Jess’ baby girl. The first baby in generations.
The fact Laarn gets to feel the labour pains was such a good kick.
So cute having all these tough warriors going soft over the baby.
I can see some real changes coming over the Oonats and how they are treated and viewed.
Really want Daaynil and Xaandrill to get their HEA’s if possible.
This is my honest review of this book.
In her own time
This book is like a prolonged epilogue for the previous book and I loved it. Well really, what’s not to like. The author made sure this dad knows exactly what it means to give birth and the baby brought hope and connection when it was needed most. With each book I fall more in love with these warriors, especially the emperor. I really hope the author will eventually bring us his story. He will be over the top dominant alpha male, but the love he will share with his mate and children is sure to steal our hearts.
This is a lovely short story that fills in a much-needed gap about Jess’ and Laarn’s newborn baby girl as there would not necessarily be enough to write an entire short novel (or what is passing for that). It is definitely worth the read and purchase, which I did… because it was free.
great addition to series
Ha, take that you headstrong males. The women shine in this one, proving once again pregnant females are a force to reckon with. Note to future, they’d better swallow their pride and get some OBGYN types on hand or a whole lot of healers are going to experience childbirth. That’s all I’m saying and then laughing through the next story.
Jess and Laarn are the first of the couples facing impending parenthood. And as with many childbirths this one is not going to be easy!! Laarn may be the all knowing Healer but his people have not given birth in many years and there is no way an alien man is going to know what a half human birth is going to go!!!
Fast paced, just like a lot of births! It was great to see the ever so usually calm and collected Laarn totally lose the plot! Jess was all “I got this” until of course her bambino makes it known the time has come and she loses it too!
I loved dipping back into the world and seeing the happily mated couples and some of the couples that you just now are going to be fun when it’s their time in the sun!
Such a sweet what short story. This book gets more about I guess the closure of Jessica and Laarn story you can’t miss it cuz it tells you what happened after the attack.
I’m giving it 4 stars just because of how sweet it was but I do wish that it had been a little longer.

Have I not said this lady is on FIRE….I just love this book.. If you have read the books before in this series you won’t object to paying $.99 for 38 pages because it is really the tail end of book #3.
Jessica Kallson aka: Jess is the human mate to the Lord Healer, Laarn K’Vass from the Planet Lathar Prime. Searching to find a way that his people would not become extinct, he has studied the human, then the immaculate conception happened is this possible? Well has to be because now she can barely walk, she’s like a beached whale. This baby will be born when she wants to be, she is taking her time. The only problem there is does anybody know how to deliver
“A human-Lathar hybrid?”
I have voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my own and honest.
This is a short sweet add on to Pregnant By The Alien Healer. It really is not a standalone. I absolutely love watching these big scary men stand in awe of women’s pain tolerance. Pretty awesome moment there.
