How insane is it to marry an alien as a publicity stunt?I’m Sunny Weathers. You probably recognize me from my reality show, Sunny Weathers’ Excellent Adventures. I’ve had to perform a lot of crazy stunts in my career, but this one takes the cake! The producers are sending me to another planet to become an alien’s mail-order bride. I’m not allowed to tell anybody it’s a put-on, and as soon my … put-on, and as soon my contract is up, I’ll be leaving planet Dakon. Unfortunately, I hadn’t counted on my attraction to Mr. Tall, “Darq,” and Handsome…
I’m Darq. The moment I laid eyes on the female with pretty mud-colored hair and a sunny smile, I knew she was mine. Competition for females is fierce, and I was determined to claim a mate from the latest shipment from Earth, so I broke the rules. If anyone finds out, my own brother will banish me to the icy wilderness, and I’ll lose my mate. I will do anything to keep her…

An alien mail order bride service becomes the next setting for a reality TV show, but somewhere between secrets and lies, unexpected attraction leads to love. I had a great time with Alien Mates so I was glad the author was writing a series and Torq’s fun brother, Darq, was next in line to get a sassy earth woman.
Alien Attraction is book two and would be enjoyed better in order, but the reader could get away with it out of order or standalone.
Fast, fun, and light, this next book in the series was another hit with me. At first, I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy it as much as the first book because I don’t really care for the main characters lying to each other or setting out from the beginning to have a relationship built on a lie. That said, I went ahead because I’ve enjoyed several of the author’s books and trust her to give me a good romance. And, it was not long before I was totally rooting for both heroine and hero because the circumstances were somewhat complicated and their feelings were in the right place from the beginning.
But oh the fun…
The lies are hanging over them and the clock is ticking on when the truth comes out. More complications than they expected occur when it does, but at least they are in a good spot and have each other’s backs.
Like with the first book, there are some good humor moments and some good sizzle. They are attracted right away, but end up taking it slower and getting a better read on each other beyond the attraction. It was great to get a peek in with Torq and Star and a few of the others from the previous story as well as meet the heroine and, maybe, the hero for book three. Oh boy won’t that be an interesting match up.
For those who want a fast and easy sci-fi romance with engaging characters, a bit of steam, and some action, I would recommend giving this series a try.
I loved Sunny’s story. Sunny is a reality TV star who agreed to be a bride for the Dakonians but she only planned on staying on Dakon for one year. Well, once she was chosen by Darq (and the choosing was mutual), she slowly realized she couldn’t leave the love of her life, no matter what happens with her TV show contract. She was not bothered when she learned Darq had found his chit rather than coming by it honestly. They go through a little to get there but love wins in the end.
I love this series!
Was okay. Just not my thing
This is a case of two wrongs making a right. Sunny Weathers is the star of an reality show. She is not really there to find a mate. Darq was not suppose to find a mate but keeps another man’s chip. Both get caught out and both find that wrongs do sometimes turn out right but they don’t without some interesting adventures.
It was a fun read.

Y. Alien Attraction 5/10
Free iBook. Ridiculous catoonesque story about Sunny Weathers who starred in a reality tv program. Her producers made her become a mail-order bride to aliens on an ice planet where she selected on sight by 7 feet of hunky, horned Darq. Six flying camera robots follow her like insects. Yada yada yada. Very shallow and non-interesting book. I have read years of sci-fi, romance, and fantasy. Don’t bother reading it.
Not a bad read. No cliffhanger, which is great. I liked the instant attraction the characters have and the will they/won’t they feel to the book.
I was impressed by how the characters told me a story I didn’t expect. The author allowed them to show vulnerability as well as true love. The plot I expected was so much more! A great story!
Stupid heroine. Abrupt unfinished ending.
Very good romantic book
Good book. Has some steamy romance, but nothing dark. Look forward to the next in the series.
A good entertaining read, no complications, no pretentious it does what is says on the tin, if you like erotic romance with lots of spanking this for you
These Dakon men are the best. They are tall, loving, hard workers who consider themselves blessed to have Terran mates. It is like reading a fairytale!
What a great read.Fantastic story Can’t wait to read next one’s
Exciting, refreshing, don’t put this book down, and spicy! Characters were strong and determined, can see many extra stories, long may women rule.Verry funny. A sweet romance. True love always wins. Hoping for more of this series. Worth reading a second time.
