It’s time to go now, Alice.Time to dive back into that rabbit hole.Hurry and finish your tea, Alice. Then return to where dark things go.The good doctor thinks he knows it all,He listens with bated breath.Pretending his questions are innocent,Hoping he’s getting you wet.Don’t cry, Alice. You chained and broken girl. You’re not as pure as you were before. You belong in a twisted world. You belong in a … before.
You belong in a twisted world.
You belong in a mad, mad world.
With queens, beasts, and Doms.
In a place where submission is sacred.
Close your eyes, think of the calm.
Remember the blood and pain.
So sweet are the torturous wails.
Succumb to symphonic sighs.
Make him believe your tales.
It’s time to go now, Alice.
You’ve already waited too long.
The ethereal realm you miss so much
Calls you back with its sensual song.
Take the good doctor with you, dear.
Show him where shattered things go.
He’s mad as a loon, but he’ll see soon.
Show him Wonderland. Show him home.

I’m honestly trying to think of what to write in this review. This book is definitely dark, I will warn anyone who doesn’t read dark romance because it’s not for the faint of hearts, it’s dark, delicious, and not to mentioned depraved. This book is mind boggling but you can’t stop reading once you start, both authors did a phenomenal job and I can’t wait for the next one.
I read the “Forward and Prologue” three times before starting this story. After the first time reading it I wasn’t sure if I picked up all the nuances that seemed to slide through my mind and over my skin. So I read it a second time and I knew I was going to need to be in the right frame of mind to read this. It dawned on me, this is one I’m going to want to pay close attention to. Give it my undivided attention, so I waited until I could devote my time, uninterrupted. And so I began a third time. To quote Alice, “You have no idea what goes on in Wonderland. It isn’t a place of enlightenment. Nor is it a place for the faint of heart.” And Sweet Mother I was right! Do you like the dark? If so, then take my word for it, Nikki Landis and Crimson Syn have created a deliciously dark rendition of Alice in her Wonderland. If you’re like me it will leave you wide-eyed, mouth open, heart palpitating and by the time it was over, I wanted more. It’s a shame I can only give this five stars because it deserves so much more!!
This story is a dark, twisted, and sadistic tale when the characters pull you into this story which leaves you with questions as to the rationality of this tale, and what is real and what is actually drug induced. Alice is in a psychiatric clinic with no idea why she is there, and which is a sex ring where women are taken, used, and abused, and introduced into the BDSM world. This is a twisted fairy tale which is an intense read, which is not for the feint-at-heart and will certainly contain triggers for some readers. This talented due of authors are a great collaboration and I look forward to reading more of their work.
OMG loved this story from start to finish, The twists and turns will have you flipping page after page. Excellent dark twisted read, Must read. Loved it Crimson & Nikki.
The beginning grabs you! Then it throws you down the rabbit hole.
This book is a trip and a half! Alice is being tossed between fantasy and reality, tormented, and treasured and has no idea who to trust.
A psychological thriller with an erotic flare is the best way I can describe it. I have to say this one kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat for what would happen to her next. I want the rest of her memories. I want the Doctor’s secrets. And I really want to see the downfall of a certain few characters.
Crimson Syn and Nikki Landis, I simply want more!
Alice in Chains
Nikki Landis & Crimson Syn
Alice in Chains, was more then a dark, twisted & demented retake on Alice in Wonderland. I’ve read other books by both authors. This book was unlike any other fantasy or erotic book I’ve read. This book touches on subjects of kink that I typically don’t think about. When you add the fantasyland to it. You have something that’s completely wicked. That absolutely blows my mind.
I was able to follow along with the story line to this book without any problem. I dispised “The Cat” & Absolem. While I hope there is a future beyond Wonderland for Alice and The Good Doctor. I love ALL of the poems in the story, especially the one Chris Genovese wrote.
What a twisted, dark, and demented story! After reading Chris Genovese’s poem followed by the trigger warning this became a must read.
A demented Wonderland, a broken and dilapidated warehouse. Who’s who and what’s what? Will we ever know? Alice and the good doctor delve into her psyche to figure out what happened on “that night” in the alleyway when Alice was covered in blood and that sends us spiraling down the rabbit hole. The debauchery and devilment that goes on in this fantasy Wonderland flashes between ecstasy and torment. It’s erotic, seductive, and sensual and you can’t help but say, Are you fucking kidding me? What the actual fuck??? I don’t know how many times this was murmured throughout my reading. My mouth had to have dropped open SO many times… and you get to what you assume is the end of this huge mind fuck only to be yanked back because, you guessed it, there’s another book! Can’t wait to see how Crimson Syn and Nikki Landis wrap this one up. I’m waiting with bated breath!
**But seriously, if you don’t like dark, demented, twisted and fu**ed up sexual exploits this probs isn’t the read for you.
Alice Hardgrave once killed the man that tormented her for so long but now she finds herself inside of a psychiatric hospital talking to her doctor about her time in Wonderland.
Yet maybe the doctor isn’t as innocent as he acts and what is his own vested interest in Wonderland?
Can Alice discover what she needs to do to keep her own sanity and keep herself as far away from Wonderland as she can to prevent herself from being a pawn once again by The Cat?
This was an interesting book with lots of twists and turns about a twisted version of Alice in Wonderland.
Alice was interesting and it was obvious she had been tormented during her time in Wonderland. Wonderland is a playground for the wicked where girls are sexually exploited and are forced to become slaves but I feel like there is still so much more that the reader hasn’t been told about yet. I liked Alice in that she still had some fight in her but she also was aware that she was travelling down a dangerous path with the doctor and had to be careful.
Initially I was confused about Alice’s doctor, Zachary Coburn, and where he fell into things. Soon I discovered he almost had his own agenda and was making his own dangerous path as more things began to be revealed.
The Cat, Dominic Chartreaux, seems to hold all of the power in Wonderland and controls much more than we think. I’m curious to learn more about his game.
The end was super surprising and I am looking forward to what happens in the next book!
When you take Nikki Landis and Crimson Syn and have them write a book together you get this deliciously dark and twisted story. This book is dark and has quite a few triggers so be warned but if those things don’t bother you, I promise this book does not fail to delight.
Trays upright please and strap yourself in for one mind bending journey full of commission and submission and possibly a bit of omission
The authors take us back and forth submerging the reader in the depravity that is Wonderland.
One moment our curious little Alice is tasting from the rainbow of assorted delicacies in Wonderland learning that submission brings the most pleasurable pain and the next she is in her little white room with the Dr. who only wants what is best for little Alice.
But what is real and what is Wonderland?
And is the Dr. really trying to do what is best for Alice?
And how did Alice get here?
And where is here?
This is an extremely bizarre tale that pushes a bit on the boundaries of decadent and dangerous (triggers possible people) But it does it in the most psychedelic of ways …
Alice in chains keeps its reader right on the edge from the moment she falls into the darkness to the final scene when she
– NICE TRY –
If you enjoy your fairy tales with a darker twist and a bit of hedonism look no further than Alice in Chains
This was a a book that grabbed me by the throat as soon as I started to read and did not let go until I was done. I stayed awake to finish and let me tell you this has you on pins and needles and you do not know what comes next and who to trust. This book has more twists and turns and so much action that is mainly from her memory, and makes you wonder how much more is not revealed. YET. This is by two of my favorite authors and together they create a world, a story and characters that are very well developed/created you feel you are with them. I cannot wait for the next two books to come out so I know what happens, but then I have to wait on pins and needles for the next series. This is a dark Romance and does have triggers, be warned. This is a must read
This is a voluntary review from an ARC copy.
Alice in Chains was a twisted tale like no other you will love all the action and suspense of this read. You will not want to put this read down you have never thought of Alice in wonderland like this. Go grab this awesome read today.
“You have no idea what goes on in Wonderland,”
“Why don’t you enlighten me, Alice.”
Brilliant take on a classic fairytale! Whilst there are so many common factors to be found, they are portrayed in such a unique way. Alice in Chains is dark and delectable, it’s enticing, intriguing and totally addictive. Looking closely at the characters you’ll recognise the similarities to the original stories characters. Some are obvious and others are quite obscure.
The inclusion of a poem by Chris Genovese was a very nice suprise. He has a way with words and it was spectacular. The authors co-wrote this so that it flowed easily and I found myself trying to guess who wrote which parts.
Alice has fallen down the rabbit hole and is trying to claw her way back into a realm of sanity. Trapped in a world called “Wonderland” where the only rule is the act of submission. Looking through a haze of wild abandonment, magic mushrooms aide in seeing everything in through psychedelic glasses. Where your senses are stimulated, lust flows, pain and pleasure abound and there are no inhibitions.
Wow….this book sure was dark. It was super intriguing, though. This is one crazy, twisted, psychological read!
I was all sorts of confused in the beginning trying to sort out all the craziness that did not make a lick of sense. But I am happy I stumbled upon this and read it. All those twisted versions of reality and fantasy were a huge puzzle with so many tiny pieces that it was getting harder to place them all in their rightful spots.
This is definitely not your typical Wonderland story. But these characters and that cliffhanger have made this one a book to remember. Seems the hero of the story may also be a villain after all. Just imagine how exciting the next book will be…
Dark, twisty, and hot. This twist on Alice and Wonderland is not for the faint of heart, but for fans of dark romance this is the read for you. I really loved this read! I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
Decadent, dark and absolutely divine! The back and forth games between Alice and doc were thrilling and scintillating! I love this new edgy darkness from these two authors! I literally felt dragged down along with them into the rabbit hole It’s not one for the faint of heart, but if you’re up for the this twisted, steamy adventure, I highly recommend this depraved take on Alice in Wonderland.
Dark and Delicious!
What did I just read?? A fantastically delicious and extremely depraved twist on Alice in Wonderland – that’s what! It is dark, it is twisted and it is utterly wicked! It blew me away and left me shocked and titillated. Better buckle up for this wild ride!
The characters are each unique and some more than others are morally nefarious and vile. Poor Alice is submerged into a fantasy land for the corrupt and perverted. With the so called help of others can she claw her way to freedom and what will that freedom cost her! Be ready to be submerged into a world of sin and debasement sure to make you squirm in your seat.
This story was perfect in every way and I loved it. Maybe I have been drinking the tea and eating the magic blue mushrooms! I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Alice in Chains was a dark, depraved twisted story that will have your emotions all over the place. The more I read, I felt like I was in Wonderland and fell through the rabbit hole. What is real, what is drugged induced as the reader is always left guessing. You will feel the pain and abuse that Alice is going through while in Wonderland, drugged and sexual used. Alice is a strong young woman who is slowly remembering her time in Wonderland, but will she remember what happened that night that has her in chains? Can she trust Zachary who has developed feelings for her but is keeping his own secrets about Wonderland from her. Can Zachary be her White Knight? Lest we forget that evil, dark, psychopath Dominic Chartreaux who is the mastermind behind Wonderland along with his mother the evil Queen. Now we are left thinking about what drastic plan Dominic has in store next for Alice and Zachary. With all of the twist and turns we are left wondering what happens to Zachary, does he ever get to put his plan in action and does Alice ever truly escape? Alice in Chains is a decadent, dark, evil thriller that will leave your breathless, you will never be able to interpret another fairytale in the same context again. Well done Crimson and Nikki you ladies did a tremendous job telling this dark story! Can’t wait to see how this all plays out! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
OMG, if you like your fairytales dark and twisted look no further, this was deliciously ****** up, the twists and turns will blow your mind. Couldn’t put it down even if I wanted too.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
**Trigger Warning–this is not for the faint of heart. This is not just about the physical trauma, but emotional and mental as well.** Now with that said….
This book is a complete mind meld and so freaking good. I cannot express how well written this book is. If you are looking for a dark, sadistic, twisted experience than you need to read this book. So you meet Alice, dang she is one strong, resilient and broken person. I was immediately sucked into the rabbit hole Alice was in. Yes there is some moments of pleasure but quickly turns beyond to pain. You hear about Wonderland and only what they want you to know until you actually open your eyes and see it for what it is. It is definitely not for fun, games and pleasure. It is for the evil, vile people. I mean think of the movie Hostel but try to add the pleasure to it and it is truly scary. Can Alice prevail and get her mind, spirit and body back? Yes this book is dark in so many ways, but I could not stop reading. I needed to know what becomes of Alice. I need to know more. I cannot wait for the next book.
