He’s trying to forget…
Alex Stewart, ex-Marine and tough as nails boss of The TEAM, ditches the success of his fledgling business and flees to his cabin in the deep woods. He’s had enough. She’s trying to remember…
Left to die in … remember…
Left to die in those same deep woods, Kelsey is the last thing Alex expects to find at his cabin. She’s everything he’s running from. Responsibility. Memories. Loved it!
Alex was the first book I read by Irish Winters and I’ve been hooked ever since. You run the full gamut of emotions as you experience the love and losses of Alex and Kelsey. This is so well written and Ms. Winters’ love of the military shines through like a beacon.
I did not want to put this book down. The author held my interest from beginning to end. An excellent story.
Irish Winters is an amazing writer. Her characters are so real that you find yourself drawn into the story, living it as if you are there. Alex is a deeply moving story. One very strong man and one very independent, traumatized woman. They are just what each other needs.
This was a clean romantic suspenseful book. I got this book for free so I have to say it was worth the money. If I had bought it I don’t think so. It had a happy ending. It was also older than I thought. They referenced the Vietnam war which to me right there ages the story. Narration was good.
Too much violence for me
Not often do I find a romance novel with a great story to tell. Irish Winters knows how to get you hooked and Alex (In the Company of Snipers Book 1) keeps your emotions stirred. Alex is a ex-marine who has a business that thrives in spite of his gruff manners. Kelsey is an abused woman who shows up at Alex` remote cabin almost dead. Together …
withdrawal of company money
I liked it so much that I want to get the entire series and I have already read the next two books in the series. One of the best page turners that I have read for a while. I read until 2 AM one night I just couldn’t put it down.
Do people actually get paid to write this stuff?
Great book!!
Great read!
I found it to be slow and hard to get into
Story started well, but the serious injuries to the protagonists were a bit over the top and unnecessary..Made it unrealistic and lost me
unrealistic that all those baddies just happened to be in the forest that day. I just didn’t think someone in his business would make that mistake (of not being informed)
I requested Christian fiction.not this garbage I didn’t read it theirs a number of books I order and then find out their not inspirational Christian but books with exsplisit sex stories not my choice of reading. I just delete them
The characters were good, but I did not care for how sad the story was at times.
It was heart wrenching knowing that these things can & do happen in life. It was inspirational to see and feel the strength and motivation that was needed to continue on with a person’s life.
Keeps you on the edge of your seat..
Life affects living in so many ways. Empathy for others in similar circumstances is a precious gift to share but not always easy to accomplish. Loved this book. We as human beings don’t always do or say what we feel.
