He’s trying to forget…
Alex Stewart, ex-Marine and tough as nails boss of The TEAM, ditches the success of his fledgling business and flees to his cabin in the deep woods. He’s had enough. Four years after the deaths of his wife and daughter, he’s stuck in the anger stage of grief. Life used to make sense. It used to be worth living. Not any more.
She’s trying to remember…
Left to die in … remember…
Left to die in those same deep woods, Kelsey is the last thing Alex expects to find at his cabin. She’s everything he’s running from. Responsibility. Memories. Having to care about someone who could hurt him. To make matters worse, she only remembers her first name. Neither can she explain the marks on her body, nor why two darling baby boys haunt her dreams.
But Alex can…

To me this was a hard book to put down. Reading the characters & who there lives put them in a role they really never wanted – then to overcome fear, question there judgement, really had some pages that were tough reading. I just couldn’t put it down
This is the first in a long series of books. This story was haunting, I thought about these characters long after I finished the book. This author writes some of the most realistic, awe-inspiring, militarily inspiring, stories I have ever read. Each one gets better. Each book can be read stand alone, but the characters follow through each book.
This is an emotional and heart wrenching story that will stay with me for a while. I cried tears of sorrow and joy and fell in love with not only two special people, but also with two amazing dogs! Alex and Kelsey are both grieving from tragic loses and both endure unbelievably difficult experiences before they can finally accept love. Be prepared …
love your books
This was my first Irish Winters’s book, and won’t be my last. This is the first book In the Company of Snipers Series, an amazing Romantic Suspense. The story is captivating, suspenseful, heartbreaking, and filled with twists and turns. Impossible to put it down! Troy Duran did an outstanding job with the narration. He has a great voice, easy to …
showed some very evil characters
This book kept taking turns I wasn’t fully anticipating. It was hard to put down and kept me wanting to come back to finish. Very good read!
It could have used a bit more action. The end dragged on a bit without much action. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.
What to say? I typically don’t read these types of books – I like “fluff” so I don’t have to think too much. All that being said, I decided to read this as it was free on kindle one day, and OMG! I am hooked on this series and this author. I just finished book 9 and each one builds on the other. They can be stand alone reads as the specific …
This was a great book to enjoy. The characters were very well written, the story had mystery with just enough romance that it is not only a chick book. Winters also injects the perfect amount of humor–not much–just enough at the right time. The author was not afraid to tackle violence, but again in the just the right amounts.
Well done.
This book contained it all, it ended with a piece of my heart. Truly loved the book.
Heartbreaking, edge of your seat, can you stand one more thing to go wrong…that is what this is all about. I read these kinds of books because I love the suspense of it all. If you can’t handle it, then put the book down. However, if you want to cry, gasp, smile, laugh, and love with the characters read it, savor it, enjoy it.
What a fantastic story! Love the characters, the twists and turns…. you definitely should read this!
Good action, fast-paced, I found it a page-turner.
Fantastic story and characters. A roller coaster ride of emotions for readers.
Unexpectedly good. I started and read it until I was done. Thank goodness I work from home! Two damaged characters who slowly but surely help each other heal. The ending was beautiful. I find many military romances are quite sexually explicit. Ms. Winters left it to your imagination and it was beautiful. Alex is a great guy to have by your …
This book was so well written, and I enjoyed it immensely. Having read a few romance books with former military men as the heroic character, to be honest I did not have high expectations. There aren’t many books of this type that have the wonderful bonus of making me both laugh and cry throughout, but this one delivered just that. Great …
Compelling read, with lots of twists in the plot. I really liked the main characters, and you can feel their pain. A slow-growing relationship, which takes time, as real relationships do. Would read more in this series.
I have had this one on my Kindle for a while and I can say I should have read it a lot sooner. This is the first book by this author I have read but it will not be my last. This one is well written and the characters are awesome. Action packed and worth your time. I don’t do spoilers but there is some suspense. Get this especially if you like …
This is an entertaining, well-written military romantic suspense novel with likable, engaging characters, subject matter that is heart-wrenching, a heart-warming romance, and a happily ever after ending. I have already bought the next two entries in this series and I am looking forward to reading them with great anticipation.
