The son of a prominent Cosa Nostra Don, Corrado Guzzi’s life should have been all mapped out. He would be what every other Guzzi man was, too—made, mafia. It’s their way. But when given another choice, the chance to be something more, he takes it. Even if it comes with strings. It’s there that he might find where he belongs, and Alessio Sorrento. The man who could change his whole life. This love … life.
This love thing? It should have been easy, but they made it hard. Nothing about a relationship like theirs is simple. Dictated by rules, weighed down with things left unsaid, and already hanging by a frayed thread.
This is what love looks like before, and after.
Before she came along.
And after she was there.
It takes one woman to change everything.
Ginevra Calabrese wasn’t ready for this—for them.
So, what happens now?

NOTE: Corrado (book one) and Alessio (book two) are a duet within The Guzzi Legacy series, and should be read in order. All other titles in the series are standalone. This is NOT a love triangle.

Alessio is hurt. And why shouldn’t he be? Corrado’s actions were unthinking and cruel. So now Les is back to figure out the WHY of what Corrado did. But to figure out the why, he’ll have to be around Ginny. So he can study her and figure out, why her? What’s so special about HER?
Will Alessio find what Corrado sees in Ginny? Will he come to love her, too? Will he ever allow Corrado to tell him he loves him?
And then there’s poor Ginny. She was pulled into this, whatever this is, by Corrado and she has to stay with him for her own safety. And she’s enjoyed her time with Corrado. But now Alessio’s here, with them, observing her, watching her, making her want him. She feels the same guilt Corrado does. Like she’s come between two men who obviously have feelings for each other. And now she wants them… BOTH. Can she have them? Will they let her? Or is she just, a distraction, a toy?
“We are all individual people, but there are parts of me that overlap with one, and then another part that overlaps with the other. And there are parts of them that only overlap with each other, too, but there is a piece of all of us that overlap together.”
I have to get one thing out in the beginning – Alessio is not quite what I expected it to be. And that’s both good, and bad. Good because it’s less action, less violent than Bethany-Kris’ other mafia tales. Not that I don’t love her other mafia tales, because I do, but it’s nice to have a little break from non-stop action and violence once in awhile, like Alessio gives us. But bad because the pace is a lot slower and meanders a bit too much, and I started to wonder if these three would EVER get their shit together and just be together. There was a lot of not much going on for a good third of the story and I started to think that perhaps the whole story would be like this slowly moving thing. Thankfully, the pace picked up and things started happening, the men started to realize their feelings, and started taking steps toward making this menage work. In the end, I came to a few conclusions – 1) Alessio is mine. I love that man! He’s sweet underneath his tightly wound facade. He loves without reserve. And he’s sooo sexy. 2) MMF should definitely be in more mafia writing. 3) Les, Ginny and Corrado are a great trio. I may not love Ginny and Corrado like I love Les, but they all love each other equally, so I’m happy that finally became a tried and true thing by the end. And 4) I cannot wait for more mafia love from Bethany-Kris!
“They were three imperfect people who had somehow found a way to fit together.”
Really enjoyed this Author but don’t care to read about homosexuality. Should have been noted in review.
Wow! Another winner in my book just loved the conclusion to Corrado and Alessio’s story. The more stories I read by this author the more I fall in love with her works.
This story was gripping and intense and emotional. Alessio has become one of my favorite characters as I found him intense, deadly, sexy as sin and you could not help be drawn to the bad boy and the aura that constantly surrounds him screams “Danger Beware”. I fell head over heels for him right from the very beginning. I loved seeing a different side to him this time around where we saw a side of himself that he keeps locked away.
We will say that our heart broke for him time and time again because it seems that he was always the one making sacrifices in his and Corrado’s relationship until he is confronted with a decision whether Corrado is worth one more sacrifice.
Corrado has betrayed Alessio and is risking the life he has made with the man he loves but, they have unfinished business, and things left have been unsaid and unresolved and to top of all that Corrado has gone and fallen in love with a woman he was sworn to protect.
Overall we loved the complicated loved story. Alessio and Corrado are perfect for each other and are seriously hot as hell together, and they work or so it seems until Ginevra is thrown into their mix, and then she brings something else to the table that makes each man feel complete. Ginevra needs to decide whether she is in or out as these men come as a package deal each man is completely different yet have so much in common and for that fact alone this woman can have the best of both worlds when it comes to sexual gratification and love, laughter and companionship.
Loved it from beginning to end and Alessio and Corrado are not characters that you would likely forget.
I’ve got everything that I wanted from this book. The love, passion, angst and all the feelings.
I loved Les,Corrado and Ginny together.Their relationship is unusual for me,but it works for them and it’s all around great.
I loved their dynamic and that they all got HEA.
They were fun but sometimes they were just moving in circles.Corrado should have suffered more for betraying Les.
Overall, without giving away the plot,if you like MMF type of books do try this one.
Alessio, Corrado and Ginny were distinctive characters with personalities that clashed at times. The difficulties the trio faced made the story all the more interesting. I ended up rooting for all of them by the end. A good read and duet.
Holy Smokes. What a ride. Bethany-Kris always delivers every single time. I am always in awe of her writing. I am always deeply mesmerized with all her stories. Her impeccable writing captures heart pumping stories that excite, Her impressive writing makes you connect with her writing. Alessio really floored me. Alessio is a powerfully written story full of fervor and explosiveness that smashed my heart. Stories like Alessio is why I love Bethany-Kris. Stories like Alessio is why I am a fan and sucker for her words and writing.
Alessio is the exquisite conclusion of The Guzzi Duet. An incredible ending to a unique and emotional mafia romance that held my heart in a tangled web. A beautiful story told in a different yet brilliant way that made my soul ache in the best way. Wow. Alessio is more than a mafia romance. Alessio is deeply soul pulsing book with a tale of three people finding their way to be together. Alessio will tug at your heart, Alessio will mess with your emotions. Alessio will resonate in your heart. Alessio will take you on an angsty and heart tantalizing ride. Steamy. Sexy. Sensual. Heart Pumping. Alessio is a story that ignites a fire in your heart. A story of second chances and first loves. An unconventional story of an MFM love written so well. Alessio lived in my heart. Alessio dug a hole inside my soul.
Corrado, Alessio and Ginevra have proven to be my favourite couple. Yes, they are different in the Bethany=Kris world but their story left a deep and heart warming imprint in me. Their love story was complicated but it held so much power. I felt it my heart. I felt in the words. I felt it in their feelings and thoughts. Let’s say I connected to them even if their love was unorthodox in the mafia world.
Seriously, Bethany-Kris =, you did it again. You wrote another stellar book. Seriously, if you have not read a book by Bethany-Kris, then you need to get to it asap. I strongly recommend.
ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.
It has been a long time since I have read and MMF story. Bethany Kris rocked it! She not only created well developed characters, she also created intense passion between them.
We pick up with Alessio tending to his wounds from book one. Corrado and Ginevra are trying to find their “new” as well. They also have the outside world trying to come in get involved in their world.
This author does it right every time with her storylines and characters. I fell in love with these people and easily forgot that they weren’t just two people in love with each other but three. I loved that Alessio was told in three points of view and how the intimacy was beautifully handled.
The much-awaited conclusion to Corrado, Ginevra, and Alessio’s story is here! These are three people that met under unusual circumstances and they find themselves staying for each other. I am not normally someone who will gush over an MMF romance, but can I just say that this author gets it? Bethany-Kris really did a good job in fleshing out these characters by making the readers understand their complexities.
I mean, for some, this might not be your cup of tea. I know some people may dive into this with preconceived biases about how common societal norms portray your usual romance. But what I loved about Alessio is that at the end of the day, you’ll just realize that this is a story about three souls who simply love each other. Love is love right?
Corrado, Ginny, and Alessio simply complete each other. Their dynamics might be unconventional to some and others might even insist that a “third party” should not be included in the mix. There’s no love triangle in their story because that’s just not how the way their love works. These three fill up each other’s needs and desires in ways that are not the same as other romance novels that you normally read from Bethany-Kris or other authors.
And that is exactly what I loved about this book. It shows her dynamic range as an author that she gives us something exciting to read about every time. I loved how the book showed the prejudices held by the organized crime world about these kinds of relationship and how these characters found a way to carve out their own world amidst those obstacles.
What can I say? Bethany-Kris has really woven an intricate world of organized crime that gets you so engrossed in the character’s lives and you’ll find yourself subtly nodding and smiling whenever other characters from her other books make a cameo appearance. I am in too deep in the world that she created and I am loving every minute of it! I cannot wait for the stories of the rest of the Guzzi boys. I am anxiously awaiting each month’s new release until the end of the year!
This is such a different story than what Bethany-Kris normally writes. Honestly, I like that… I like when an author stretches their boundaries. I like when they write outside of their comfort zone. I feel like that shows the true talent of an author when they can write beyond a normal limit. I give mad props to Bethany-Kris for this. She gave us a story still full of strong and willful characters but people who slowly fell in love and developed a truly unique love story… a story that was all their own.
Corrado had some strong groveling to do this book. While Les and Ginny forge something deeper together, the three of them really unite. There are some hurdles but it wasn’t as explosive as I was thinking we would see here. Kris really explored a deep and meaningful relationship… I love the way it was developed and the way we get some deep thoughts and some serious love. It you thought the love of two people could be strong and intense… you should read this story because we got a love story so strong that it was too much for just two… so this story has three. I loved the sexy, eroticness of the story.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
This is the 2nd and concluding part of this awesome duet. Corrada, Alessio and Ginny as all complex and imperfect characters’, who are all well suited to each other and fit together like a puzzle, This is a well written flawless story which is intense, powerful and an emotional roller coaster journey throughout. I cannot wait to read more from this gifted author, whose work I highly recommend for all.
What an awesome story! I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down.
The dynamic and chemistry of the three of them drove the whole story and you really got more incite into who Allesio is and how he ticked.
I liked how smooth the story flowed and was pretty relatable in regards to how relationships have their ups and downs.
If you thought Corrado & Ginny were hot together, prepare yourselves for all three because it was electric.
This is book 2 of a MMF Duet. You need to read book 1 first.
loved story from the start till the end! Bravo to the author for yet amazing story
5 STARS
“Koi no yokan.”
Alessio is the second book in The Guzzi Legacy Series. It’s a continuation of Corrado, Ginevra and Alessio’s story. Although it’s been a while since I’ve read a MMF, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I shouldn’t have been surprised that Bethany-Kris surpassed my expectations!
“Loving may make you vulnerable to being hurt, but it’s courageous to love all the same.”
After reading Corrado and the way it left off, I was eager to see how Ginny and Les’ relationship would develop. How they all came together was so beautifully written and the sex scenes were on fire!
“They were three imperfect people who had somehow found a way to fit together.”
I am so excited to read more from this series! I’m loving the Guzzi boys, especially Bene because he seems like the fun and easy-going brother. Alessio by Bethany-Kris is an EPIC read that
will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
~ Thank you to the author for generously providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Alessio, Ginevra and Corrado……three souls that have an unrelenting magnetic relationship. It’s complex, it’s complicated, it’s sensual, it’s erotic and most of all it’s perfect. There is a wholeness to Alessio and Corrado, Alessio and Ginevra, and Corrado and Genevra. And then there is this special and unique feeling that these three fulfill in one another that creates a deliciously perfect storm. It’s wasn’t suppose to happen. Alessio and Corrado were the them until Ginevra turned them all into an us.
The dynamics of an MFM relationship is complicated to the outside world, but to Alessio, Genevra and Corrado, it’s soothing, it’s real and it fits them. Corrado’s family is all about inclusivity when it makes their boys happy. And this story also includes the Guzzi family and it just makes this story all the more perfect. Gian and Cara are incredible as well as their other sons.
This story digs deep into the thoughts of Les, Ginny and Corrado. How did they all get to where they are now, how did past actions affect one another and how thoughts of commitment and loyalty translate to love? Being part of the process in learning to love is not for the weak of heart. Pride, stubbornness and lack of communication can muddy the waters and create turmoil. But when love is true, all the minutia can be sorted by those that are fully committed. It may take some time and some misdeeds, but love triumphs in the end no matter the type of relationship.
I loved this story, this duet. The writer and her eloquent words created a complicated story of polyamorous love that was deep, heartbreaking, erotic and sublime. She showed the complexities and struggles that lead to this trio’s happily ever after and it was absolutely a magnificent read.
Phenomenal Story…Absolutely 5 Stars…
This is one of those books that will stay in your mind while you are reading, while you are taking a break from the book, when you wake up during the night and probably forever after. I read non-stop and then slowed down, I didn’t want it to end! Once again, Bethany-Kris has written an unbelievable book. In my opinion this is the best book she has ever written. She has done an excellent job developing her characters. Corrado Guzzi, son of a Cosa Nostra Don and part of the League, a group of deadly assassins and Allessio Sorrento, also the League. I love Allessio and Corrado, two gorgeous, alpha men, both with different personalities that fit together with each other, yet don’t at times. And then there is the exquisite Ginevra Calabrese living with them and where does she fit in. I also love that Corrado’s family is in the story also, his parents, Gian and Cara and his brothers. There is not one book that Bethany-Kris has written that I haven’t loved and read at least twice. Read this series today!
5 Les STARS!!!
Alessio was everything and MORE! I stayed up until 3AM to finish and went back for another read because Les + Corrado + Ginny = EVERYTHING + More! <3
This is NOT a love triangle but a story about three imperfect people who had somehow found a way to fit together. They love and adore one another. Their chemistry is NSFW and banter is easy and fun.
Les is the best! He's so thoughtful and kind. The fixer out of the trio. Corrado is intense and stubborn but his sexy ass makes up for his ever changing mood. Ginny is sweet and sassy.
I LOVE The Guzzis and cannot wait to get to know the other brothers especially Bene! Another great BK read but did you expect anything else? 😉
Sweet Holy titfire.
It is rare that I struggle for words, especially when those words are about books, but this one has done precisely that. Hell, to be honest, the first one did too but THIS book… I live for literature because it is magic. There is power in the words. They make me feel in the same way that music does and sometimes it even moves me more. That was the case in this book. This author wove a story that was so beautiful that I found myself rereading certain passages because of the power and the semblance of the words.
I knew going in that this one would have a lot more angst than the first part of this duet. I just had no idea how much angst. I knew that I loved all three of these characters but what I felt for them PALED in comparison to what I felt for them in this book. I knew that being in a polyamorous relationship comes with challenges. Often in books, it is glossed over or just assumed it would be eventually accepted. However, this author didn’t. She showed the challenges that might and actually did arise, in a way that even as openminded that I am still left me questioning why I had never thought about it that way. I am not sure if it was because I have never been in this type of relationship, or if it was because I felt EVERYTHING these characters went through as they vacillated in trying to figure out their own place in the “ven diagram” (god I loved this scene). The author did a great job showing the ups and downs of a relationship. Only add in three instead of two. I bow down to her greatness because this truly moved me. Love truly is love and should only matter to those involved.
I loved getting all three of their perspectives. I enjoyed digging deeper into Alessio and what made him the way that he is. Ginny, sweet lord, this girl, truly was the sun and Corrado and Les were definitely in her orbit. Her ability to be one person and somehow different depending on who was with her was incredible. They were al the yin-yang of each other. I am not sure that even exists but it needs to because these three completed each other. Add in some of the hottest scenes that I HAVE ever read that were so beautifully done but so erotic that my iPad almost melted and yeah.. this book/duet became sublime bliss.
I will say it until I am blue in the face. This author could write me a the McDonald’s menu and I would read it OVER and OVER again despite the fact that I haven’t eaten McD’s for over ten years. I highly recommend anyone to read this. Hands down my favorite that this author has written. Considering her amazing collection of stories that in itself speaks volumes because I have loved every one of those too but they aren’t Les, Corrado, and Ginny.
The continuation of a dynamic story filled with tension, secrets, selfishness between two lovers and a young woman unknowingly thrown in the middle of a saga. Alessio personality and emotions were more portrayed in this story as many things in his life is placed there without his desire.
The complex relationship becomes more interesting as they become closer and Alessio is aware Ginevra is a storm to be reckoned with and a rollercoaster full of surprises. A great story that leaves you wanting more.
