Past indiscretion with life-altering effects. Macy Spencer hit rock bottom and clawed her way out of the hole her cheating, lying, gambling ex-husband left her in. Drowning in debt and penniless, the single mother of two worked hard to get her life back on track and protect her children from the fallout. But now her ex is in more debt and his bookie’s knocking on her door for payment. Whether she wants it or not.
Former Navy SEAL Alec Hall’s world has come to a screeching halt. With a newborn daughter dropped on his doorstep and fatherhood looming, he doesn’t have a moment of free time to spare. But when Alec finds out the woman who runs his daughter’s daycare is in danger, he can’t stay away. The sadness in Macy’s pretty eyes is unmistakable—it calls to him, making all of his protective instincts roar to life. He vows to do whatever necessary to protect Macy and her children. Too bad Macy wants nothing to do with him.
A battle is warring in Alec’s head. Can he let go of his guilt, embrace his new role, and be the hero Macy needs? The odds are stacked against them and now more than ever Alec needs a miracle.

As much as I love this entire series, I now have a super soft spot for Alec and Macy! Both have past insecurities to get past to be able to come together and find their happily ever after. You get to see all of that play out and most of all it’s so real. Macy may have been beaten down by an ex-husband that has her doubting everything about herself but you see her real strength shine through when she fights for the safety of her children. And you see Alec is yet another strong alpha male but you see his soft side and his insecurities as well. This story is just pure perfection. I think many of us can see ourselves in Macy and the reminders Alec gives her. Add in all of their friends who rally around them and you will be drawn in and won’t want to put this one down for even a minute!

Alec has suddenly became a full time father to an adorable baby girl who he didn’t know he had. Macy is the divorced mother of 2 also adorable children. Unfortunately her kids father is …well to put it politely not a good guy. Macy has been through a lot and things have not been easy for her. Alec is their for her and her kids. But will Macy be able to take down those walls that she’s put up around her enough to see that Alec is more than she’s ever dreamed of?
This story touches on one ugly aspect of what can happen with divorced parents. What some parents do, using their own children to try and manipulate and control their divorced spouse. What can happen when you continue to allow a toxic family member access to your children.
Luckily for Macy and her children Alec steps in and steps up. He “invites” himself into her troubled life, willing to fight anyone even Macy herself for a chance of fulfilling his dream. For Alec, Macy , her children and his daughter all together as a family is the sweetest dream come true.

Macy knows Alec because he brings his daughter to the day care she runs. Alec loves the way Macy always interacts with his little girl Jocelyn. She is wonderful with little girl and Joss calls her mama. Macy’s ex-husband is a real piece of work and likes to torment her by keeping the kids in limbo as to when he will get them on his weekends he is to have them. Alec happens to witness him coming to the day care to growl at Macy about picking up the kids. Alec overhears this and notices the fear coming from Macy in regards to her ex-husband. Alec vows to do what he can to help her deal with the ex.
He is drawn to Macy and wants to get to know her and her son and daughter.
only thing is can he deal with the ex-husband without Macy thinking he is telling her what to do. Macy doesn’t take kindly to being told what to do.
I am voluntarily reviewing this as an ARC. WOW, such an amazing storyline with Alec and Macy. Enjoy the story of Alec former DHS newly employeed with Gemini Group. Love how this story came together with Alec getting his daughter and Macy being brought into the picture. Her daughter, Aurora, is cute and trusting with her son, Caleb, being guarded with their family. When these two families come together you can see how they are trying to work the friendship, love, and trust issues. Be ready to cry, cheer, laugh, scream and yell at the characters.
I love how Riley is able to make each one of her books special by letting her characters come to life and share their experiences with us. It’s great to see a strong man not try to make everything better for the damsel. Instead Alec stand beside Macy to help her along the way.
Truly a pleasure to read all of Riley’s books and be part of their ups and downs and end with their very own happily ever after!!!
Oh Boy !!! This author does it again and smashes it out of the ballpark with Alec and Macy’s story. Alec has just found out he is a dad to a baby daughter and is now raising her on his own with the help of his friends and of course the women in the group. He knows Macy from the day care he sends his daughter Jocelyn to and witnesses an uncomfortable situation with her ex. Macy is getting by, barely, raising two kids with no help from her ex and trying to raise her kids right. Macy left her ex when she finally found the courage to leave his abusive ways and is trying to teach her children that kindness is the way and in doing so may be showing them the wrong thing especially where her ex is involved. Alec is attracted to the woman and bids his time but when she is attacked…all bets are off and Alec will do whatever it takes to keep her and her kids safe…will Macy finally let the past go and move forward with Alec.
What a read with plenty of emotions jumping off the pages including heartache and heartbreak. These two lit up the pages and even though Macy was Alec’s dream…Alec was the dream in this read. He was adorable with his daughter and Macy’s kids as well as protective and patient with them all. I LOVED that there was no OW drama, no over the top drama between them and how their relationship evolved throughout the read.
An amazing read with steam…ahem…steam…suspense, action, love, heartbreak, vulnerability and some laughter that had the story flowing beautifully and had me glued to the pages from beginning to end…warning…once you start you won’t be able to stop till you get to the end…and what an ending !!!
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Alec is my can of man. He was so determine to take charge of Macy that while it can be seen as overbearing his heart was in the right place. And if his overbearing manly Alpha does not melt your panties his soft side with the kids are just as adorable. This book was excellent from that suspense that was given in the last book that we see how Alec became a dad until Macy and her kids fill his house. Macy’s ex was a complete douche bag and it broke my heart how things ended. Alec still wins! You will enjoy this book cover to cover!
This is book 4 in the Gemini Group series and while it can be read as a stand alone, I recommend that you read the other books in the series first so that you can understand all the different relationships and connections to each other. In this one we get Alec Hall and Macy Spencer’s story. Macy hit rock bottom and is trying to dig her way out of the hole that her ex-husband dragged her and her kids into with him for the last few years. She works hard and does her best for her kids but her ex keeps dragging them into his problems. And now his bookie has come knocking and wants his money or else. Alec’s whole world changed when he found out he had a daughter and that he was now responsible for her. But he steps up and loves more than anything else. And when he finds out that the woman who is in charge of his daughter’s daycare is in trouble, he steps up and vows to protect not only her but her children as well. Neither of them realize just how hard they had been fighting an attraction to each other or how much they would come to mean to each other.
I absolutely loved this one! Macy has been through literal hell and still manages to be have this beautiful soul that tries her best to make sure her babies are happy and healthy. Even to the extent of her own happiness. She is sweet and loving but has this hidden spine of steel and I loved her! Alec is this strong, protective, alpha male with a heart of gold. Yes he has his own battles he faces but he also knows in his heart what is right and wrong. And that he is allowed to feel the way he does, which I love. I love how he is with his daughter and Macy’s kids and that he never differentiates between any of them. He just loves and protects them all, no matter what. They are his just as much as his biological child. And speaking as someone who has a step-parent, that is a rare and beautiful thing! This whole story sucked me in from the beginning and I didn’t want it to end! Now I just need a story for Johnny because let me tell you-my heart broke for him!!!!
This is the fourth book in this series and can be read as a standalone, but the other books in this series are amazing as well! I love Alec and Macy and the dynamic between them is captivating. Alec is strong, protective, compassionate, sexy, and he fights for what he wants (which is Macy and her 2 children). Macy is amazing and stronger than she thinks, she just needed help to see how strong she really was. I also love that they both have children and are awesome parents. I couldn’t put this book down once I started reading it!!
This book is another 5 star read from Riley Edwards.
Alec joined the Gemini team and the beginning of his story was in Weaton’s treasure – he learns not only does he have a daughter, but her mother has died and he now has custody.
In this book you’ll fall for a wonderful dad, while he falls in love with Macy and tries to protect her. It’s got a bit of action, a couple of surprises and plenty of love.
It also reminds us of the emotional damage a toxic partner can have on a person – done sensitively.
Well done Riley – I literally could not put this down.

I found myself laughing at all the inventive names that Alec was calling Macy’s ex-husband while wondering how Riley came up with them. A couple of them had me laughing out loud. I LOVE when a book does that. Riley Edwards knows how to write a romance that has the suspense, the tears, and the laughter. She is absolutely a must-read author of mine. Her books keep me hooked from the first chapter to the end. I’m eagerly awaiting Chasin’s story.
Alec received a shocking news back in Weston’s Treasure (Book 3) that he is a daddy to a babygirl from a one night’s stand. Alec’s Dream is the continuation of the Gemini Group series and once again, I enjoyed reading it.
Now I might be a minority and I struggled with this for many days before writing my review. Eventhough I received this ARC, I’m adamant about being honest on my thoughts on this book. As I said, I’m in the minority where most reviewers seemed to love Macy, I don’t quite like her character for about 80% of the book. I find her to be such a doormat for others, especially her ex-husband but when it comes to Alec who was trying his best to protect her, suddenly she developed a backbone and became all fiesty! Perhaps I’m being harsh and perhaps I should be more understanding of her plight but I seriously wanted to slap some sense into her. A couple of times I found myself putting down my kindle and I had to go do something else to calm myself down. I think that’s why it took me longer to finish this book where I usually am able to finish Riley Edwards book in one sitting.
Alec on the other hand is a DREAM! I adore him and he made such a great daddy! Oh he struggled initially and he had his doubts, he also abhorred resentment towards his baby’s mother. Had she not passed away, Alec would never had known about his baby. He struggled with his thoughts but that doesn’t deter him from trying to be the best daddy for his little girl.
Alec’s Dream is filled with cute daddy/daughter moments which made me go “Awww” and also it has suspense with of course, really sexy times. This book can be read on its own but I do highly recommend reading them in order.
I finished Alec´s story a couple of days ago (yes, I needed some time to let it sink in) …and am now sitting in front of the computer wondering how to describe it….
This book gives you more than just a story to relax, have fun, have some time to yourself. As could write “as always, Riley writing is amazing”, but truth must be told, she get´s amazing with each new book: you will get strong alfa males (the ones we dream about), strong, smart, and sassy woman, friendship, family, love and adventure.
Macy is a young divorced mom, who struggles after an abuse marriage, and who puts her kids above everything else. But she is strong enough to listen and change her mind when needed. With Alec´s help, she grows and flourish, and it´s a beautiful journey to read. Alex is also learning to be a dad, a man he can be proud of, and with Macy, he get´s there much faster!
Definitely a must read!
This book had me from the beginning Alec really stepped up to the plate on taking care of the
Child he knew nothing about.
He met Macy at his daughters daycare and he was interested especially when her ex husband
Showed up and threatened her about her two kids at the daycare.
Alec stepped up to help her when he noticed how upset and devastated she was.
So he showed up at her house to help her confront her ex husband.
Alec slowly worked his way into Macy’s and her children’s life.
Alec helped Macy get away from Her ex husband and they did get together.

The beginning of this book had me looking at my own life and made me a bit emotional. However, like expected with Riley’s books, I was soon lost in the story and in love with the characters. The single mom getting her second chance at love and a happy ending makes you believe that it can happen for you too. Well done, Riley!

“If I’d known you were real, I would’ve waited.”
This story ripped my heart out and then put it back together piece by piece. I’m not sure which love story was better, Alec and Macy or Alec and Rory and Caleb. One can only dream of a love so great. Riley Edwards did it again with this suspenseful love story. Can’t wait for Chasin’s story.
Wanna go to Target with me? Come on, I know exactly what I need; I have a list. Grab a cart! (This may seem like a weird way to start a review but just go with it, it’ll make sense in the end. Pinky swear! )
I’m comparing this series to a trip to Target. You know what you came in to shop for, but those dudes in the red and khaki just made a new display that catches your attention. So, you walk back to the front of the store and grab a cart. That’s what the Gemini Series by Riley Edwards are! Display’s that catch your eye. And they’re awesome. Riley Edwards builds these strong characters (those alpha guys and kicka$$ women) in all of her books. And all of her books, like displays have levels. There’s the characters. They’re relatable, reliable, resolute, but they’re also funny and sometimes quirky. They are people you know in real life. Isn’t that what draws us to read her awesome stuff? Because in every book we connect with a character? So, there’s also the storyline level. It’s almost like it’s sitting there on the bottom shelf holding everything up. The characters move through the storyline in the most natural, albeit sort of complicated way. But, you aren’t saying “whoa! That’s crazy!” You almost know intuitively that that’s how everything is supposed to happen. And then there’s the display shelf of the side characters. And honestly, for me, I’m a little more excited to be introduced to them as I am the main characters. I know, it’s weird, but I know that with these side characters comes the wonderful possibilities of them getting their own displays! And that tickles me pink!
So, Alec’s Dream is the fourth installment in these fabulous books. To me? That means we’re heading back to Target! And Ms. Edwards has been BUSY setting up new plan-o-grams and rearranging gondolas Yep…you got it! That’s Target speak for NEW FABULOUSNESS. The displays are set differently. They’re eye-catching but relaxed. They’re easy. Even though the book isn’t stacked with massive, heart-stopping drama or outrageous shenanigans; it’s about the Gemini boys doing their alpha-stuff in this small town. It’s about two people connecting and growing as adults. It’s about thinking you know what you want, but finding something you need. It’s exactly like when those dudes in the red & khaki stage the new line of merchandise. Establish the base, secure the shelves with supporting characters, hang some drama from risers and label everything with bright signs from the ceilings.
As always, even with a list, I picked up a few extra items along the way. But that’s okay. I love everything I got (out of this book). Time to go home, relax and enjoy my spoils. Catch you next time at the checkout lane!
I absolutely love the men of Gemini Group. I couldn’t put down Alec’s story. I can’t wait for the next home book!!
This is not the first time that I wished there were more to the story than what was there, not because the storyline was lacking but because I fell in love with the characters. I just want more from these two.
Alec, major swoon worthy Alpha male. Content in where his life has taken him and living with his past. Macy, seriously a strong mama bear. There are so many ways that Macy could have been written but how is was portrayed was perfect; it was real. There are so many times that you think she is being weak, but she isn’t and is just as strong as Alec to the point she is an equal, their strengths are just different and they work so well together once they work through their past. This couple is amazing.
This book has a different feel than the rest of the Gemini Group books, and I know that this book is my favorite of the series.
