Alec is book 17 in the Reed Security series and it is recommended that they are read in order.AlecI’ve been chasing this damn woman for three years. Our relationship is finally out in the open and I’m not letting this chance slip past me. I will make her mine, and there won’t be any room for arguments. There’s the slight problem of Craig, our other teammate. He knows what we do in the other rooms … what we do in the other rooms at night, or during the day, and that leaves us in a bit of a predicament. But we’ll work it out. I always get my woman, and Florrie is all mine.
Florrie
It took me by surprise when I fell for Alec. I hadn’t intended to ever sleep with my teammate, but then one day, he was there and so damn sexy. It was just supposed to be sex, nothing more. But he kept pushing and then one day, it was out in the open. Everyone knew and there was no way for me to stop what was happening. Except, there’s just one problem, I’ve got a secret that ensures we’ll never be together in the way he wants. Now I just have to find a way to tell him.
“Who is he?” Hunter asked. “Just tell me and I’ll kick his a$$.”
“I think I can do my own a$$-kicking.”
“No. Whoever this a$$hole is, just tell us and we’ll take care of things. We’ll make sure you never see him again. If you know what I mean,” he continued.
“I know exactly what you mean, and no, you don’t need to make him disappear.”
“But, that’s what we do. We don’t know how to solve any other problems,” Gabe said, almost in confusion.
Rocco groaned and held up a hand to ward off the guys. “I didn’t want to get involved, but it looks like I’m gonna have to. Why don’t you tell us about this guy. What’s he like?”
“Smart, strong, capable…”
“Sexy?”
“Of course,” I huffed. “But he’s confusing. I thought that he was into me, but then nothing happened. Is it me? Am I not pretty enough?”
“No,” Sinner said, shaking his head sharply.
“Of course not-” Hunter snorted uncomfortably.
“You’re beautiful,” Rocco said firmly, and the other guys joined in.
“Sexy as hell.”
“Nice rack.”
“Good a$$. Nice and firm.”
“You have nice elbows,” Sinner said.
“What?” I asked in confusion. Hunter smacked him upside the head.
“I panicked,” Sinner said. “You all said nice rack, good a$$. What else was left?”
“You could have gone with beautiful eyes,” I snapped. “Or even nice legs, but nice elbows? Who the f#@k says that?”
“Obviously not this guy you’re seeing or he’d already be dead,” Rocco muttered.
“Did you f#@k him?” Hunter asked. “Guys always lose interest after you f#@k them.”
“No,” I sneered. “It’s not like I just spread my legs for any guy I come across.”
“Did you come right out and tell him you like him?” Rocco asked. “Some guys are f#@king stupid and can’t take a hint.”
“Actually, I wrote him a note and told him that I really liked him and asked if he liked me too.”
“Like in the song?” Sinner asked.
“Yeah,” I snarked. “Just like in the song. I even drew boxes and asked him to check yes or no.”
“Did he answer?”
“No, you idiot! I didn’t actually do that. I’m not in second grade.”
“Maybe you should,” Sinner shot back. “With all your sarcasm, he probably doesn’t know if you want to kiss him or kick him in the balls.”

This is book seventeen in the Reed Security series! Oh my goodness, I have read each and every book in this series, a couple I have read at least twice and it is still going strong. What an amazing world that this author has created and the amazing characters that continue to join the Reed Security family. This is more than just a job for these folks as their lives are on the line and in each others hand, they are family. Alec and Florrie are attracted to one another but not only do they work together, they are teammates. When Alec is shot and Florrie spends her time caring for him, they become closer and realise just how much they care for one another. Can they keep it a secret from everyone? What happens when one wants to shout it out to the world and one wants to keep their relationship a secret? Will it destroy it? As always this is a fantastically written story where we get to know Alec and Florrie and a few more of their character layers along the way. These characters are always so realistic and full of emotions that you will feel as you read along. There is also the humor that we have come to love and the banter between everyone that will make you laugh as well. As always, I am eagerly awaiting the next one. Enjoy!

Alec and Florrie are drawn to each other, but there are a few roadblocks. The biggest one is that they’re on the same team at Reed Security. Oh, and they’re both extremely hardheaded. They finally get together, but she insists that they keep it a secret at work. These two are so volatile – can’t stay together, can’t stay apart. When she has a health problem, he’s right there, but she can’t confide in him, and then feels like she’s not a whole woman because of it. He loves her, but she can’t admit her feelings for him. He walks away, she’s miserable. Heck, they’re both miserable. This book is incredible – I read it in one day because I couldn’t put it down. As usual, the characters had some truly humorous moments, especially during spa day, and every time someone brought up the subject of waxing. I laughed and cried with both Alec and Florrie. There was still a lot of action and suspense between the fun and love. And I can’t wait for the next book!

I enjoyed reading Florrie and Alec’s story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely love this series how such strong alpha males can also be so much fun and do things so out there I will never know but that is the making of this series Be aware that you really need to read this series from book one and in order as there is carry over from each book.
This is Florie and Alec’s story they both love one another but neither wants to admit it which leads to conflict between them all the time when Alec is shot it really makes them reevaluate things between them but been these two you know that it still won’t run smooth. With Alec so protective and possessive and Florie not been able to handle that they will decide that a friends with benefits approach is what works for them but will it be enough when they are so hot for one another You will have to read to see
Solid 3.5 star
This was a good read, I had some great laughs and the going back in time was really good to remind you of all they have been through but to be honest Florrie really irritated me. I get why she was closed off etc but she was just mean at times to Alec and I didn’t feel like I connected with either her or Alec as much as the other characters in previous books. In saying that I did still really enjoy the book and can’t wait to read the next in the series.

Florrie Younge just wants to do her job without letting personal stuff get in the way. Alec Wesley just can’t seem to leave his personal life outside of work. This is a good story that shows how men and women think differently about work and relationships.
The guys of Reed Security aren’t silent – they never are and that’s good for us. They love to give each other advice. So be prepared to laugh. It’s funny, they think they have all the answers and it’s all for our enjoyment. The laugh-o-meter will be off the charts when you read Craig’s advice to Alec. Our author is really on a great run with this series. The stories just seem to get better and better.
No two stories will be the same. In this one, we have a very strong willed woman who wants one thing and is not willing to sacrifice that drive to an alpha male. Alec seems to think that his word is law but he doesn’t understand women very well. One thing I love is that the author shows how these people work as if they are all a family and that includes all the ups and downs that will naturally happen. She lets us see how they work as a group but then she lets the main characters have his or her moment to shine.
I really didn’t want to root for a man that I could see beating his chest – me Tarzan, you Jane. But in this case I let him have his way. Florrie needed that heavy hand because she has a man who really cares about her and just wants to know that she’ll be there tomorrow so that they have a future together. She’s the one that I didn’t want to root for but it’s hard when you see how involved the heart can be. The ending was interesting because it seemed like it may have put a period to the book but not to the series. It seemed that I was left no choice but to be prepared for the time that the next book comes out – and that’s no hardship at all.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Awesome read! Well written! Great characters! Amazing storyline! Full of drama and suspense! Couldn’t put it down!
4 1/2 Stars
Although I’m a fan of this author and love her writing style and storylines, this tension filled romance between confused cold and tough Florrie and Alec was frustrating and emotionally painful.
The whole push and pull of their relationship along with the whole dream Ménage thing with Craig was offputting.
Spoilers Ahead: Okay, so I get that Alec was determined to move on from his years of being the “submissive” partner in his one sided love for her, but I couldn’t stand that when she finally, finally made herself vulnerable to him, he walked away. I hated that.
In a storyline that they were apart more than together, the parts that held it all together was the strange and funny relationship the Reed team had together. The whole spa scene was hilariously funny. I also enjoyed the varying POVs that tied everyone a little bit closer.

This series just gets better, look forward to the next one…
You have to read each one from the start of the series and the men and women within it. I started with Sinner and went on from there. You can’t just read one and move on to another book, oh no, you need to read the next one and the one after that, so on as you find out all the little bits of each character you begin to see the whole story of the series and those behind it. Each character brings their own bit to and and you want to know more. Don’t forget to read the series For the Love of a Good Woman with the other men involved in the series. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. This is a series that’s very intense you can relate to it at some point in your life, the trials and tribulations that they go through, is something either you or someone you know has. I’ve been totally pulled in by the author and you will be to.

This is the 15th book in this phenomenal series, and is Alec and Florrie’s story. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout. This story is truly amazing, and is filled with witty banter, drama, action, heartbreak, and is a hilarious and steamy masterpiece. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner and I highly recommend for all.
OMG!! I love this series!! It’s just keeps getting better and better! Alex and Florrie are cut from the same cloth and they belong together! She just doesn’t see what’s right in front of her! I can’t wait to read the next book!

I loved this one, though I didn’t like Florrie at first. But the more I read, the more I understood her behaviour.I liked the up and down of their relationship. But the happy end I like the most .

Don’t you just want to scream at characters to get their act together and communicate their feelings to each other! Unfortunately, fear of rejection is a great motivator not to open up or lower the wall. It comes from childhood, bad relationships and divorce. Florrie and Alec have worked together on a security team forever when an epiphany happens and they realize that they have different feelings about each other. Alec has opened up to her but he has also become very protective of her that hinders her from doing her job properly. Another great book about the Reed Security family. Quite a few characters appear from previous books but don’t impact this as a stand-alone read. There are some really funny scenes when the guys get together to do their “bonding” thing. Mostly focused on Florrie and Alec and minimally on Reed Security happenings.

With all the lust between them and Alec getting shot, Florrie has been helping him recover. Finally, Alec realises that Florrie didn’t know that he wanted her, and he makes it clear that he does she wants it to stay between them because of work, he agrees with her for now,
Finally, Florrie is ready to talk to Alec about them, she knows he loves her, but she’s continually been pushing him away, but he never thought it would end up with them at the hospital again. Leaning more he realises why she was pushing him away making sense now.
Deciding that Alec needs cheering up the boys all agree to go out with him, none of them expected a day for a spa treatment. Although once there in there they soon change there minds as only the Reed Security men do, enjoying themselves and threatening to put a bullet in anyone that tells anyone about it.
Although broken up they decide on being friends with benefits, he’s still as possessive and she’s had enough, he knows she doesn’t want a relationship and after the job she’s going to get reassigned. Alec starts to realise while on the job, it’s him Florrie doesn’t want a relationship with, there jobs can be dangerous and he could die, finally Alec understood and lets Florrie know what love is.
“Love is …. Knowing you have to walk away from the woman you love because you know you’re hurting her by staying.” – Alec
. It takes talk of a cannon, no condom, gun jamming, reaching for Alec not her gun and twenty minutes showers and that she’s played safe she didn’t jump. Florrie finally realises what Alec meant.
“Love is taking a bullet so the person you love doesn’t have to feel even an ounce of pain.” – Florrie
Yet another superb book from Giulia Lagomarsino. I love reading about the men and women working at Reed Security! The storyline is thrilling, entertaining and intriguing as always. Can not wait to get my hands on the next book in this series. Highly recommend!!

Alec and Florrie are teammates and lovers but Alec cannot seem to compartmentalize and separate work from personal. Florrie is not sure whether or not she loves Alec and wants to keep their relationship a secret and insists that they are just sexual partners. Alec knows that Florrie “is his” and wants to talk to Cap about it. When Alec finally relents to Florrie and attempts to move on the green eyes of jealousy rear their ugly head and in true Reed Security fashion all of the men are trying to give her advise.
This story is just as great as its predecessors. I am in love with the whole series and enjoy seeing the growth of the characters from story to story.

Wow!! Another amazing read from Giulia. This book wasn’t what I was expecting but so much more. Florrie is all about herself, what she wants is all that matters. Alec just wants Florrie. Alec had to finally take the stand and leave her for her to figure out herself. These two were meant for each other.
Oh, and the spa scene, one of the best scenes. Ryan and Knight had me crying.
Can’t wait for the next book.

This is book 17 in the Reed Security series, and focuses on teammates Florrie and Alec, as well as poor Craig, the outsider in this trio. The initial chapters are set in the present, then three years ago, then three months later, then two years ago, one and a half years ago (we’re now at chapter 12 of 41). I got the gist of the story; it was tough to keep timing of events straight in my head. The story itself was okay-Florrie and Alec are quite similar in some respects, and very different in others. Both struggled with being in a relationship, communication, and honesty with the added bonus of extreme protectiveness. Alec was the perfect Alpha male-unless you were Florrie, and you could look after yourself. Florrie was hard to connect with. She was disconnected from herself, so there were no internal musings that would give you any clue as to why she refused to accept Alec’s love. I felt that their story was about how they got together, and there is still more to come. My favourite part was when the men went to the spa together, and I love their ridiculous banter.
