Alec is book 17 in the Reed Security series and it is recommended that they are read in order.AlecI’ve been chasing this damn woman for three years. Our relationship is finally out in the open and I’m not letting this chance slip past me. I will make her mine, and there won’t be any room for arguments. There’s the slight problem of Craig, our other teammate. He knows what we do in the other rooms … what we do in the other rooms at night, or during the day, and that leaves us in a bit of a predicament. But we’ll work it out. I always get my woman, and Florrie is all mine.
Florrie
It took me by surprise when I fell for Alec. I hadn’t intended to ever sleep with my teammate, but then one day, he was there and so damn sexy. It was just supposed to be sex, nothing more. But he kept pushing and then one day, it was out in the open. Everyone knew and there was no way for me to stop what was happening. Except, there’s just one problem, I’ve got a secret that ensures we’ll never be together in the way he wants. Now I just have to find a way to tell him.
“Who is he?” Hunter asked. “Just tell me and I’ll kick his a$$.”
“I think I can do my own a$$-kicking.”
“No. Whoever this a$$hole is, just tell us and we’ll take care of things. We’ll make sure you never see him again. If you know what I mean,” he continued.
“I know exactly what you mean, and no, you don’t need to make him disappear.”
“But, that’s what we do. We don’t know how to solve any other problems,” Gabe said, almost in confusion.
Rocco groaned and held up a hand to ward off the guys. “I didn’t want to get involved, but it looks like I’m gonna have to. Why don’t you tell us about this guy. What’s he like?”
“Smart, strong, capable…”
“Sexy?”
“Of course,” I huffed. “But he’s confusing. I thought that he was into me, but then nothing happened. Is it me? Am I not pretty enough?”
“No,” Sinner said, shaking his head sharply.
“Of course not-” Hunter snorted uncomfortably.
“You’re beautiful,” Rocco said firmly, and the other guys joined in.
“Sexy as hell.”
“Nice rack.”
“Good a$$. Nice and firm.”
“You have nice elbows,” Sinner said.
“What?” I asked in confusion. Hunter smacked him upside the head.
“I panicked,” Sinner said. “You all said nice rack, good a$$. What else was left?”
“You could have gone with beautiful eyes,” I snapped. “Or even nice legs, but nice elbows? Who the f#@k says that?”
“Obviously not this guy you’re seeing or he’d already be dead,” Rocco muttered.
“Did you f#@k him?” Hunter asked. “Guys always lose interest after you f#@k them.”
“No,” I sneered. “It’s not like I just spread my legs for any guy I come across.”
“Did you come right out and tell him you like him?” Rocco asked. “Some guys are f#@king stupid and can’t take a hint.”
“Actually, I wrote him a note and told him that I really liked him and asked if he liked me too.”
“Like in the song?” Sinner asked.
“Yeah,” I snarked. “Just like in the song. I even drew boxes and asked him to check yes or no.”
“Did he answer?”
“No, you idiot! I didn’t actually do that. I’m not in second grade.”
“Maybe you should,” Sinner shot back. “With all your sarcasm, he probably doesn’t know if you want to kiss him or kick him in the balls.”

Alec is everything I expect from a Reed Security book. It’s packed full of everything. Laugh out loud moments, emotional and painful moments, suspense and action. Lagomarsino did not disappoint.
Alec and Florrie’s story is a rollercoaster ride for sure. They work on the same Reed team and lines get blurred when you mix personal and work relationships. Florrie is strong willed and independent. These two are two similar personalities and that causes an up and down relationship for sure.
Lagomarsino had me hooked from start to finish and I just loved this book. She has created this amazing cast of characters that just bring so much to the plate and really make a book what it is. While the book would have been great with just Alec and Florrie the rest of Reed Security make it what it is.
Alec is an emotional rollercoaster of a book that leaves you begging for more of these two. It’s another 5 star read from Giulia Lagomarsino.
This book is funny, gripping, emotional, HOT, drama, and heartache!! You need to read this series!!! You can’tt just read one book and move on to another author! You get drawn in and HAVE to read the rest of the series!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Florrie and Alex had me totally engaged from the very beginning with the well written storyline and characters that were so well developed that I had a hard time putting this book down to go to bed!
Another brilliant edition to this series. I couldn’t stop reading at all once I started. The storyline was a good continuation from the previous books,it had everything we love in this series, drama, humour, love and so much more. A fantastic edition. I don’t want this series to end.
What do we learn very quickly about Florrie and Alec? What happens when Alec gets shot? What does that do to his teammates? What advice do the guys give Florrie when they find her beating the stuffing out of one of the bags in the training room? What happens when Florrie calls out sick one day? Why were Florrie and Alec the only two with Morgan at Chase’s house? What happened? Wow, I just got perspective on when this story took place with the attack on Reed Security! What happened when they saw Delilah Sunshine? Who is she? What does she suggest? Read and see how this book goes!

Work relationships always add that extra dramatic spice teetering on disaster! Alec and Florrie really tried to keep their relationship secret. Craig, their team mate knew, but kept their secret. They became aware of each other as a man and a woman in the last three years they worked together. Alec is the unofficial team lead and has a hard time treating Florrie as a competent equal once he develops feels. They get a job guarding a philanthropist, Jamie Hanson. Florrie declares when the job is over, she is requesting reassingment. Alec is devastated because he declared his love. Can Florrie work through her baggage? Will Alex grow up enough to let her? What will the team say? Funniest part of story was when Florrie asked the guys what do men want? The responses were hysterical? Good story. Nicely done.
I really liked this book, even though it was totally different from what I expected. But I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I laughed so much, also wanted to smack some people.
I loved Florrie and Alec together, even though you wanted to smack their heads together.
I really can’t wait to see what happens.
This is Alec and Florrie’s story. I really enjoyed it. Alec knows that he wants her from the beginning, but Florrie keeps pushing him away. She doesn’t want a relationship only sex.
You have to love the men and women of the Reed Security family. Florrie tries so hard to be one of the guys, tough, independent, and strong, she has a hard time being a vulnerable woman. Alec doesn’t know how to be open and honest with a woman. How can these two ever get together. But the Reed Security team comes to the rescue with their own questionable advise. I love these guys and their families and this is a great addition to the series. You would think after 17 books, you would get tired of these characters, but I am good with another 17!!

Great series. This is Alec and Florrie’s story. The push and pull of their connection, the discovery of love, of friendship. This is a well written and thought out story. It is a great addition to the series. The storyline pulls you in and keeps your interest through the whole book. I recommend it to all. I received it from booksprout and this is my voluntary review.
Another great book by Giulia, I don’t want to give any spoilers so all I will say is Florrie’s stubbornness had me wanting to shake her and say damn it open your eyes to what’s right in front of you with Alec.

Another steamy tale from Giulia Lagomarsino in her world of Reed Security. Florrie fought to be one of the guys, did not want be to protected or thought of as soft. She had a hard time allowing herself to truly feel, and it took a lot for her to see beyond her own issues. I loved that Alec was willing to admit to his love for her and didn’t care that the others knew. It was hard watching as these two went back and forth, but I was glad for their second chance together.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
This was an awesome read I enjoyed each turn of the page. Having well developed and engaging and characters with chemistry makes for an entertaining time.

This is book 17 – Must read in order to get the whole story!
Alec and Florrie belong together, but really needed to work on how they deal with and communicate with each other. Guilia really sucks you into the story, to the point where you want to yell at the characters sometimes! Love how she makes you laugh as well (Reed Security and a spa day!)

Another great book that I don’t even know where to start with how great it is. This series is absolutely fantastic.
You will cry ,laugh and root for every person in the series. No exception..
Hot romance and beautiful friendship.
The Red Security men are something else. Waxing ,tongs…and they will kill without blink an eye.
Alec and Florrie ‘s story is like the others, there’s ups and downs that wil keep you turning the pages .

This is just one of those series that you don’t want to put down while you’re reading the current episode and definitely don’t want to see the end of. This is the seventeenth book in the “Reed Security” series and was filled with so much angst and drama, it kept me in a state of flux where Alex and Florrie were concerned. Each with a strong personality and so hard-headed. Add uncompromising and lack of trust emotionally towards the other, it was a battle to see who would win each confrontation. Thank goodness for the rest of the team as they continued to throw in their sage wisdom and advice, along with the humor that is inherently notorious in this series and Giulia Lagomarsino gave me an action-packed, engrossing story, that once again, I couldn’t put down until I finished.
I just can’t get enough of Reed Securities! There is so much to like about this installment! Alec and Florrie are complicated characters. You’ll love to hate them, and love to love them. There were many laugh out loud moments. Emotional moments. Reed Securities is my book soap opera. Keep them coming! I love them all! I especially love the MEN of Reed!
Analysis of a revelation
I love the stories of Giulia Lagomarsino. Every character in Reed Security is totally different, full of humor, sarcasm and physical and mental strength. This episode is no exception with Alec and Florie, two very active members of Reed Security.
A good part of the story is backwards and usually I do not like it, but here I liked it. This part is completely turned in the sense of a romance with scenes of action related to their work of protection and some scenes quite hot.
I loved how the feelings are described between them, even if Alex’s feeling are constantly hurt by Florie’s lack of feelings, or at least, her denial of emotional bonds.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Alec and Florrie are two operators that seem unlikely to last together. You can only push people so far away or block them out so long before they realize out and away are probably a lot easier.
Put two people bad at expressing themselves together- you get a lot of humping and power sex, and less of the tender love.
Health complications make things even harder – and lies cement an ending- or several.
It is interesting that Cap strongly suggests counseling- but the group dynamics are still pretty messed up.
In the final analysis, Alec and Florrie need to decide how far to trust, and how many times to suspend belief and try again.
Powerful KU read/ steamy and angst and action packed adventure!
I received an advance copy from Booksprout. I read this book and most of the books in this series on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.
This is a very enjoyable read such a great story. The storyline is real action packed, fast paced, page turner filled with wonderful characters.
Loved it and can’t wait for the next book.
