* Book #5.5 in the Slater Brothers series*Alannah Ryan is plagued by an old face haunting her dreams, turning her waking hours into a mess of worry. Talking it out with the person she loves the most isn’t a possibility, not when the same face haunts him, too.To protect the love of her life from another burden, she keeps her fear to herself, even as that fear begins to consume her. Damien Slater … fear begins to consume her.
Damien Slater has the life he always wanted with the woman he adores by his side, but there’s a problem. His woman is keeping a secret, and they swore they would never let another secret come between them again.
Breaking Alannah’s guard will be Damien’s greatest challenge yet as he proves once and for all that he is in it for the long haul.
Alannah admires Damien, and what Alannah admires, Alannah watches over.

A Wonderful Addition To The Slater Brothers Series!!
Alannah & Damien are brilliant in this book. Though as is the norm with the girls novella’s, this book concentrates on the wives, fiancee’s & girlfriend’s who, as always, are hilarious!!
Alannah is suffering from nightmares & she doesn’t feel able to confide in anyone due to pregnancies etc It starts to impact her life choices, things will come to head in her relationship!!
Damien wants what all his brother’s have, their own family’s!! His ‘Freckles’ keeps putting him off though even though he knows she wants marriage & babies with him. He doesn’t understand & it’s hurting him!!
The whole family make appearances – Alec is beyond hilarious I love the sense of family this Author always brings to life in these books. The love for each other shines through A highly recommended read

Alannah gave me everything I’ve come to expect from an LA Casey book: feels, giggles, Alec Shenanigans and of course the 3 Ss (sexy, steamy, swoony). I have all the love for the Slater brothers and the world Casey has created. Like you know when you feel really connected to a series and you wish you could just curl up in that world because you love it so much? Thats the Slater brothers to me. If I could attend Hogwarts in the world of the Slater Brothers I’d be a happy bookworm
This sweet and sexy novella was the perfect ending to Damien and Alannah’s love story. My heart feels so full and girly happy and I’m so excited for more of this beautiful world LA Casey has blessed us with. Is it time yet? No? How ‘bout now?
I’ve loved the Slater Brothers since the debut story, “Dominic” which is Dominic aka Nico and Bronagh’s story came out and each one has been awesome and I’ve got to admit I’m a bit sad while reading this, knowing we’re one book away for the Slater Brothers Series to end but nonetheless, I’ve forged on and started reading the novella, “Alannah” and I wasn’t disappointed at all 🙂 I loved every single moment of reading this novella 🙂
Here we get to see our couple, Damien and his freckles, Alannah, after being together for six months after the ending of Damien, still happy, still very much in love; especially after what happened when Alannah found out, in not an honest way, the dark secret the Slater clan was keeping from her but I’m glad she listened and everything is now well, six months into the relationship, we are getting to see how our couple are doing after everything went down and then cleaned out…
This novella takes us on several roller coaster rides of various emotions but I will say this, every couple from the “Slater Brothers Series” have had to overcome major obstacles and secrets and conquer them to be together and Damien & Alannah are not the exception to that; they both have to overcome obstacles, some are on the outside, but mostly, the internal ones that mainly have to do with Alannah’s fear of going too fast in their relationship and Damien wanting what all of his brothers have… a family and a happy marriage with each of their women and he wants the same with his freckles 🙂
With a little help from their friends and family, these two eventually get their head on straight and out of their rear, especially Alannah. They both learn more from each other, get a major mind-blowing unexpected surprise but a happy one nonetheless and FINALLY get their happily ever after <3
After everything both Damien and Alannah have been through, throughout their years apart and after getting together in true Slater form, they beat the obstacles, fears, insecurities and demons to a bloody pulp and reach their happy ending and it was bittersweet for me and I'll admit I cried a little while I was reading the ending but then the author, L.A. Casey gave me and will give to all of the people who read this novella, some major insight on what we'll read in the last book, "Brothers" and I cried happy tears and laughed my butt off in some of the scenes I read 🙂
Thank you, L.A. Casey for giving us,the readers and fans, those pages into what we'll get in the last Slater book and I'm happy but still anxiously waiting for it to come out soon too 😉
I hope after we get to read more about Gavin and his baby mama, Kalin and hopefully we find out the reason why Gavin doesn't want to commit to a relationship with her (she's in love with him) but he still wants to co-parent with her to be there for their son... Anxious but patiently waiting for the start of a new series that will feature Aideen's brothers who are the Collins Brothers and all of them getting their story and see all the women who finally tame the Collins Brothers will be awesome to read about and I'm the first on board to read them all 🙂
Finally Alannah and Damien are together and working out the different kinks to their relationship. We do see Alannah still pulling away from Damien and get the reason why. But luckily she realizes what a mistake she could be making if she doesn’t work these things out and stop pulling away from the one person who loves and cherishes her the most.
The brother banter is back in this book as well so of course you’ll be laughing till your crying!!

Ah guys! I was longing for a lightweight book that would make me laugh and suddenly my wish was granted when ALANNAH appeared on my Kindle. I love this family so much and I’m a little sad because there’s just one more book left.
ALANNAH is a book that comes to show what we more than already know: that Alannah and Damien really love each other. And I LOOOOVE the way Damien loves Alannah. Like, no matter if they’re fighting, you sense in their attitudes and the way they talk that Alannah is the woman of his life.
Now, although Damien has always been my favorite Slater, I have to confess that I loved the scenes that Alec appeared here. I even hoped for more of him. The brother/sister friendship he has with Alannah is so cool, beautiful and made me laugh a lot.
ALANNAH is a light drama book, it’s fun and makes us love this family even more. I loved that it was introduced a bit more of the Collins brothers here and I’m already prepared for their books. And the best of all is that there is an excerpt from the first chapter of the next book, BROTHERS, which will show the brothers a few years ahead. Already with family formed and children. I feel that I “grew up” watching this family grow. It will be hard to say goodbye to them. Sure we’ll probably see them in the Collins brothers’ spin off and later in the Slater’s Legacy books, but it won’t be the same. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves this family.
Another amazing novella to the best series, this would have to be my favorite series ever and LA Casey’s writing has me laughing out loud in these books.
It was another perfect continuation to Alannahs and Damian relationship and again to see where the rest of the family is at with thier lives.
Nothing prepared me at all for the laughs i was going to get between Alannah and Alec though, with his Harry Potter cups to the bets they made with each other. This has to have been the best non relationship connection between two characters.
I loved Damian and his forever commitment to Alannah even when she is being a right cow and feeling the love that Alannah has for Damian.
The thing with this novella is that i know it’s going to be the last. I know we have another final novel for this family but i can already feel the loss of not getting this family’s story.
Can’t wait for Brothers and if you have read all the other novels and novellas in this series you won’t be disappointed with this one
A big huge 5 stars for this 🙂
What a bittersweet moment. I’ve loved the Slater brothers series and it’s sad that the series is coming to an end but I’m excited about the spin off where we will still see the characters.
So we all know from the previous books that Alana has some demons she needs to deal with. Damien is right by her side proving that no matter what he will always stand by her side.
In true Lee style we still get the laughs from their bickering and bantering.
Right at the end L.A gives us a hell of a surprise .
Can’t wait for Brothers the final book I the series.
An amazing series coming to…somewhat of an end. The long await for Alannah is drawing near and the countdown has been getting louder, and everyone wanting this book has been itching to get to read its pages. Witty, steamy, family and love, a wonderful adventure with the much loved girls and their awesome men, The Slater Brothers. Thank you L.A Casey for a series that had me laughing, loving and addicted to every page.
I love the Slater brothers series so much and Alannah is a fitting part of it. The stories of all the friends and family make this a great read!!!

My reviews of both Damien and Alannah feel bitter/sweet knowing that were drawing end to what has been a fabulous series. My only comfort is that we will be getting a spin off series that involves these characters that I love so much. And fingers crossed to getting some Slater children stories????
Alannah suffered so much mentally and emotionally for me throughout this series. So to see her and Damien finally get their HEA was wonderful. But i can completely understand her feelings on moving the relationship so fast.
Their final journey through this novella will make you fall in love with these two a little bit more. My heart hurt and bloomed for them both.
This whole family once again brought me to tears of laughter. With alpha possessive Slater’s and sassy take no shite women. I’m not going into details as this is a novella so just enjoy this family as we’re drawing to a close.
But i will say that the wonderful LA Casey gives us one hell of a treat at the end. And now once again i can’t wait for her next release even though it will be the final Slater Brothers book!!
