Leanne Simmons and Callum Davidson are complete opposites. As soon as they meet they know they won’t get along. However, for the sake of their TV show they agree to put their differences aside, but it’s not as easy as they think. For one, there’s the unexplainable physical attraction they can’t seem to shake. And for two, everything out of their mouths seems to rub the other the wrong way.Leanne … way.
Leanne wonders how she can be attracted to such a careless, narcissistic playboy.
Callum wonders why he can’t get a girl who dresses like a boy out of his head.
Before long their attraction becomes a temptation neither one of them can resist.
Air Kiss is a prequel novella to Off the Air, Book #1 in the “Running on Air” Series.
more
This book is a prequel novella to Off the Air. Air Kiss provides the background information on how Leanne and Callum first meet and their relationship eventually begins. This book is told in dual POVs, occurs approximately 3 1/2-4 years before the events of Off the Air, and ends on a positive note. I have read Air Kiss and Off the Air, so I think that it is not necessary to read Air Kiss first, but I do think it adds to the enjoyment of Off the Air.
” I could outshine you without even trying, honey.”
I first met the complicated couple Leane and Cal in Hearts on Air. I was quite curious to know more about them and L.H. Cosway presents us with this prequel to give some details of how they met, how she and her best friend, Paul, joined the parkour group on the Running on Air reality show and how the lure and rivalry began between these two .
The book brings hot moments and for me shows how from the beginning both are stubborn, but without a doubt, Cal has a very great sense of protection and possessiveness.
I liked it a lot and I’m already wondering how it’ll be to accompany these two in Off the Air.
5/5 stars
Callum & Leanne suck you into their story in this prequel. Plus we get a sense of the other players in the bookiverse. Can’t wait to read their story.
Love/hate is a thin line. This novella introduces a pair that do not have a great start. Cal comes across and an egocentric jerk, Leanne a shy tomboy, both seem so opposite. They both fight their feelings for the other, sniping at each others ankles, while secretly lusting after the other. Snarky fun, and sparks fly as they come to a undeniable point where…. It ends ARGUH !-> gotta grab book 1 “Off the Air”
Got me intrigued for the next book
This novella lead-in to the next book of this series grabbed my attention, so I need to continue with Callum and Leanne’s story. Loved the writing, characters and audio narration.
This is a short little introduction to the crew we’ll meet more of in the series. With an enemies-to-lovers vibe that I loved, I can’t wait to see what is in store for Leanne and Callum.
This is a hero and heroine who run Parkour (is that the correct way to say it?) and will be living together for the next year along with three other people. Reality tv is opening up opportunities for them and I can already feel the angst coming on.
These characters were originally introduced in Hearts On Air, which I didn’t realize until now and have not read. While I absolutely am going back and finishing that series, I didn’t feel lost in this story. Air Kiss was a really great introduction to Leann and Callum and the turmoil in their relationship if you haven’t met them before. Stacey Holmes is new to me as a narrator and did a fantastic job, I would definitely pick a book based on the fact that she’s reading it. I have listened to other books narrated by Will M. Watt and I have never been disappointed. He did an amazing job as usual. Super excited to get into Off the Air and the rest of their story.
“His kiss was better than running on air”
You could feel the tention between Leanne and Callum all through this novella. Just waiting for their bubble to burst.
So happy that L.H Cosway writes about characters outside the norm, who ain’t perfect, who are flawed and has issues they struggle with.
Life ain’t perfect or easy, so why should stories be any different?
I loved Air Kiss! It is a novella that introduces Leanne, Callum and the cast of Running on Air. It gives us the start of Leanne and Callum’s turbulent and almost explosive relationship that continues in Off The Air. I listened to Air Kiss on audiobook and that is definitely the way to go! Amazing narration!
-4.5 Stars!-
Just a little snippet to give us background on Leanne and Cal for Off the Air. Good bridge.
This prequel is a great introduction to Leanne, Callum and the remaining parkour crew. I enjoyed Leanne and Callum’s push and pull, their bantering and I’m excited to read their book Off The Air.
If you’re familiar with L.H. Cosway’s Hearts series, then these characters shouldn’t be strangers to you, what with Trev’s story being told in the final Hearts book, Hearts on Air. You don’t necessarily need to read that book in order to understand Air Kiss, but I’m encouraging you to read it anyway because it was an awesome story for me to peruse. This novella was a great start to Cosway’s Running on Air series and left me wanting even more. Five stars.
I haven’t finished the ‘Hearts’ series yet, so I didn’t understand why this cute story needed a sequel. That means only trouble. In fact, from what I’ve read it seems they do not last…
So, right now I don’t know anything about them or what happened to them. I’m already imagining the worst case scenarios – cheating, marriages, divorces, babies etc. with OW or OM. Fuck.
Why do I keep doing this to myself?
[This was written before the sequel was out. Nothing of that happens, lol.]
***4 Stars***
This is a nice, quick intro/refresher to this world.
And to be a bit more clear: It’s an intro if you have yet to read Hearts on Air, book 6 in the Hearts series where we first meet Callum and Leanne and the rest of the crew and a refresher if you have read the book but haven’t had the chance to re-read it recently.
It is primarily focused on Leanne and Callum and the beginning of their relationship and the show.
I have to say, for a short read it really does pack a punch. We get a good glimpse into both characters, their backstories as well a as few special moments between them. All of which has me looking forward to diving into Off the Air and seeing how Leanne and Callum’s story plays out.
I loved this and can’t wait for the rest of the series. I definitely recommend this book, this author and this series.
This Novella gives you the history behind Leanne & Callum’s Relationship. It gives you enough of their story, so by the end you’re wanting more.
5 Stars!
Leanne Simmons is a petite tomboy tough girl who lives in London. She works at a coffee shop, and in her spare time she enjoys doing parkour with her best friend Paul. She lived for the rush and felt alive when they were flipping through the air and jumping between rooftops. When they are offered a spot on an upcoming new reality show about freerunners from London, they jump at the chance. They will be filming and training with three guys who are known as the best. They all click except for Leanne and a guy named Callum Davidson. Cal doesn’t seem to like her very much. They clash and have a rivalry from day one. He just rubbed her the wrong way even if his beautiful body with the miles of inked skin drove her to distraction.
They both hate how attracted they are to one another, and hope this thing between them will pass. They just need to focus on the show. The five of them were on fire and had a special chemistry when they ran together. If Leanne & Callum act on their feelings it could change the whole dynamic of the group, but as hard as they try neither can resist the growing temptation.
I really enjoyed this short, sexy novella. It was unique and different. Callum is super hot, and I adored Leanne and her confidence. I was intrigued throughout the story and just loved it! I can’t wait for their full length novel, Off the Air that releases March 5, 2019.
