~ STANDALONE NOVEL ~When someone asks what I do for a living, I answer it plain and simple . . . I’m a hunter. I hunt the dregs of society and I’m very damn good at it. I’m Ian Chandler, FBI agent and a member of the Circle of Justice, an organization of justice seeking vigilantes. My mission is to solve a string of ‘accidental’ hiking deaths occurring around my Wyoming town. When Grace Myers –a … my Wyoming town. When Grace Myers –a woman who’s been missing for days –shows up on my land, it turns out she’s the key to it all. Someone is hunting her, and I make it my duty to keep her safe.
However, the deeper I get into the case, the more dangerous it becomes; especially, now that I’ve fallen for the woman I have to protect. If hunting is the game, I won’t fail. I always hit my mark.

Aim by LP Dover is the third installment in the Circle of Justice series and can be read as a stand-alone. It is sexy, suspenseful and action-packed. Once again LP Dover had me staying up until the wee hours of the morning to find out who was hunting Grace. It grabbed me at chapter one and wouldn’t let me go until the end!
Ian is a member of a secret branch of the FBI called the Circle of Justice. He assassinates the scum that slips through the cracks of the justice system. Grace works for a high end, very successful hotel in Wyoming. Ian and Grace are great friends that both want it to be something more, yet the fear of messing it up stops them both from seeking more.
When Grace is kidnapped from the hotel one night, Ian does everything in his power to find her. When Grace is able to free herself, she stumbles through the forest and onto Ian’s back porch. For her safety, they continue to let the world believe she is missing and/or dead until they find them the kidnapper. While the investigation is ongoing, she lives with Ian and his brother Reed for protection. Ian and When they finally give in to the sexual tension, the sparks fly!
Having read the previous two books in the series, it was great to hear about the other Chandler’s lives after their stories ended.
Just like the others in the series the point of view alternates between both main characters.
I loved how original the story line was. LP Dover doesn’t disappoint with the action-packed goodness that is this book! I loved how well LP Dover mixed the action and suspense while sprinkling in the steamy romance. I can’t wait for the next book so that I can read about another Chandler brother!
Unrealistic
Wow this was a really good read. Two people who didn’t know they needed each other till it was almost to late. What a roller coaster ride of a book.
Ian Chandler works for the Circle of Justice, a branch of the FBI that tracks down individuals who have escaped justice. When he is contacted by the Chief of Police to look into some local disappearances of hikers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, he is shocked to discover that the Chief’s daughter, Grace Myers has gone missing.
Now Ian must find Grace and keep her safe from whomever is after her. As Ian begins to look further into it he is shocked to find it goes much deeper than he could ever have imagined and now he has to try and stay one step ahead before he finds himself in trouble.
This was a great book and I am really enjoying the series.
Ian is a great character and I liked that he knew the latest victim already and was determined to find her. Yet when she stumbles onto his property is he surprised at what she reveals to him and he knows she is better off missing to try and find out more about why she was taken.
Grace was such a strong character and had no idea why she would be taken. She was dedicated to her job and had no known enemies. I loved that she figured out a way to take care of herself and get out of the situation she was in.
There was so much chemistry between Grace and Ian and I was super happy that the two got together and managed to find some happiness together with everything else that was going on.
I loved Ian investigating what was going on and how he had to follow a trail based on what he was learning about who possibly could be involved and then he was shocked at what he learned. I found it kind of ironic based on what Ian’s job is.
The end was surprising and I was so glad that Ian managed to stay one step ahead and he had some help!!
Looking forward to what is coming next as the hints with what was going on with Bryce, Ian’s twin, sound great! By Rebecca
The beginning of this story reminded me of an episode of Criminal Minds and Sea patrol and I absolutely loved it! It was action packed from the beginning and it was fantastic it didn’t slow down. Everything felt urgent, life or death and I loved it.
The writing was amazing I could really feel the emotions as well as the stakes, you could feel the fear and when she felt safe and you could even feel how both Ian and Grace felt about each other as well as family and friends. I loved feeling those things from the writing, it’s been a while since I have managed to feel that from a book so it was amazing.
I really liked that Grace and Ian already knew each other and had that connection and or they had to do was act on it, from both of the characters you could tell that there was a bond there and I loved it.
I also loved the FBI side of the story especially Ian being a killer/hunter although probably vigilante would be a better word, especially as he kills bad people and scum of the earth. I loved how all of his family was involved with the FBI too and I enjoyed the family aspect from Reed, Ian and Bryce. I loved Reed and Grace’s friendship and how they bonded when Ian was out getting information on who wanted Grace dead. I loved how Grace and Bryce meet for the first time, she does not expect Ian to be an identical twin and that was one of my favourite parts of this book. It made me laugh so much and I really did love it. I really liked how Grace was not scared of the job they do and understand that it is necessary for them to keep evil out the world.
The plot kept me hooked the romance did not overtake the story, there were no plot holes and everything for me fitted correctly nothing seemed out of place. I felt the reasons for wanting people dead in this novel were pretty pathetic but then again they were pretty pathetic people.
Grace is a very strong willed character and knows how to take care of herself and it shows when she quits her job and when it came to paying her rent for the apartment when she was “Dead.” There were great characters and great story! I would love to read the others in the series because if it is anything like this it’s fantastic!
Aim is my first adventure in this series. Hot assassins on the FBI payroll…sounds like my kind of bad boy. An edgy hero, a unique family dynamic, and hot men a plenty…what could be better?
How about visits from characters in L.P. Dover’s other books? Nothing makes a fan squeal like cameos from friends in previous books.

Every book in the Circle of Justice series replaces the one before it as my favorite. I really didn’t think anything could top Target, book two, but Aim absolutely did.
Grace and Ian have been interested in each other for a while but have never taken their relationship to the next level. When Grace goes missing, Ian helps in the search for her. When she shows up at his house, he vows to protect her while searching for the people who are hunting her.
There was so much suspense in this story. I was on the edge of my seat and couldn’t put the story down until I reached the end. The other thing this book has an abundance of is swoon. Ian was one of the most amazing characters I’ve ever read. He’s protective, romantic, and loving. Grace is fierce, protective- even though Ian doesn’t really need it, and all-around amazing woman. Their chemistry exploded off the page. Every book in this series cements it as one of my favorite series of all time! I can’t wait to see what’s next for the Chandler clan.
