Full-throttle action, snappy dialogue and twists at every turn, Agent Provocateur will have you turning pages late into the night.
Note to the reader: Although the Bishop novels can be read in any order, the events described in this book take place after those in Kiss My Assassin.

I really enjoyed this book. I just love the main character, nobody can wind up the bad guys quite like Agent Bishop with his smart mouth, you would think it would get him in lot more trouble but somehow he comes out of each encounter unscathed (more or less). Everybody loves a wise guy. I think this would be a great series to have as an audio book and it would be interesting to see who the narrator would be, as well as the actor if it was a film.
Bishop is tasked with taking down his old mentor and the father of the girl he let get away. As Kevin was the man who trained him he know it is not going to be an easy job but when he picks up a tail as soon as he arrives in China he fears this could be a one way ticket for them both. With a powerful enemy hunting them both down Bishop must keep his friends close and his enemies close if has any hope of surviving this latest mission. Armed with just his wits and the odd rocket launcher he must tackle a rouge agent, who is hell bent on starting and finishing a new war.
Just loved it can’t wait for the next book, move over Bond a new guy is in town.
Another crazy romp with agent Bishop. Lots of action and intrigue. Twists and turns involving Bishop’s past and the present. Great escape entertainment I didn’t put down until I finished it.
Agent Provocateur is a very well written spy satire particularly geared for Generation X. I liked the balance of humor with actual spycraft and emotional dilemmas of the main characters. It is said that comedy is tragedy with a twist and this is doubly true with this book.
Fun and entertaining with plenty of action and just enough romance.
Some sophomoric language, but good story line. Lots of action.
When M16 field agent, Charles Bishop encounters his past love, Tessa Argento, he stumbles into an international intrigue which sends him on a mission to kill Tessa’s father and his old friend and mentor, Kevin Argento. Bishop races the clock and a villain determined to start a world war as he tries to find Argento and discover the truth. Fast paced, action filled read that’ll keep you turning pages.
Well done. It reads like a movie script!
It was easy to read Bishop, the lead character was interesting and the story moved quickly
Not a bad tongue in cheek thrill ride across China. Discovering and dealing with mentor issues, what good spy does not have them. Being ordered to hunt down and kill your mentor, that takes some getting used to. A nice fast paced entertaining spy thriller. And actually filled with sarcasm and quick quips than plausible plot. But still not a bad way to kill a few hours. Look forward to this author’s next book.
An entertaining plot full of twists and turns. The characters are well-developed and believable. It caught me from page one and a page-turner throughout
Kevin Argento seems to be a rogue agent killing foreign agents. Bishop travels to China to hunt for Argento. Bishop has to battle Chang, a Chinese agent that wants to start WW3. Bishop has a sharp comical retorts that enhance the drama. Bishop There is action and excitement as there is a thrilling conclusion.
