The Gray Man is back in another nonstop international thriller from the #1 New York Times bestselling coauthor of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan novels.Fresh off his first mission back with the CIA, Court Gentry secures what seems like a cut-and-dried contract job: A group of expats in Paris hires him to kidnap the mistress of Syrian dictator Ahmed Azzam to get intel that could destabilize Azzam’s … destabilize Azzam’s regime.
Court delivers Bianca Medina to the rebels, but his job doesn’t end there. She soon reveals that she has given birth to a son, the only heir to Azzam’s rule–and a potent threat to the Syrian president’s powerful wife.
Now, to get Bianca’s cooperation, Court must bring her son out of Syria alive. With the clock ticking on Bianca’s life, he goes off the grid in a free-fire zone in the Middle East–and winds up in the right place at the right time to take a shot at bringing one of the most brutal dictatorships on earth to a close…

I’ve read several Gray Man novels now and each one just keeps drawing you back for more. Definitely worth the read.
Love the grey man. I’ve bought and read them all.
full action. it took me around 150 pages to get warm with the book. looking backward i quite admire Greaney for his ability not to rush forward but to build the background, the characters, the plot with carefull manicured details. As this is my first gray man novel (and not the last) i did not know much about Court Gentry. this is not important as he is revealing himself slowly not only as tough but with a deep moral sense of what is right and what is evil. And in Syria there is a lot of evil (i have been there). So it is a very good stand alone thriller. and it is getting better as you advance with the 500 and more pages. the last 100 or so grip you tight as it is pure action. no waste of a word. i give 5* for the sense of geography, for the reserch so well done on this devasteted country. but in reality Syria is still under the cruel boot of bashar el-asad and i pity the nation and its people. it is a real courage to write on events which are folding in this period still because you dont know if you read right the situation. whatever will happen with Syria Greaney manage to turn your heart for a moment to great story which have a child, mother love, tough guys, based over there.
Great read, couldn’t put it down, can’t wait for the next book!
Good – lots of excitement – held my attention – well written – anxious to het from one breathtaking event to the next – whew.
Quite the story and excitement around every corner.
10 Stars… The Gray Man never disappoints. Exceptional storyline with a great set of characters. Best one yet Mark…
A geo-political clandestine thrill ride with some of the most intense action sequences that I’ve ever read.
Court Gentry, the Gray Man, is back.
This time around he’s in Paris during Fashion Week to abduct a Spanish fashion model who is also Ahmed Azzam’s, the president of Syria, mistress.
Court’s been hired by husband and wife doctors that are expatriates of Syria and lead a resistance group that is bent on President Azzam’s evil regime.
They hope to use Bianca Medina, the model, as leverage. Bianca is the mother of Jamal, Azzam’s “illegitimate” four month old son. He is the only male heir of the president and Azzam wants him to take the throne one day.
Of course, Shakira, the president’s wife who knows of the affair and the boy, will not allow this to happen. She will not give up her position of power. She wants Bianca dead.
Bianca will not co-operate with her captors unless her boy is safe with her. Jamal’s still in Syria!
Court is soon on his way to Syria in order to rescue the boy and his nanny. A supposed suicide mission in which complications arise and stack upon more complications.
Court hits the ground running. He’s resourceful, tenacious, and one badass son of a bitch. He’s my new hero.
This is the first Gray man novel I’ve read. I plan to read the first six as soon as I can get my hands on them.
For a mile a minute page-turner, it doesn’t get better than this!
Excellent addition to Mark Greaney “Gray Man” series. Lots of action. Great characters. Hard to put down.
