I fell in love with Fiona Grace’s writing when i read her
Murder it the Manor” cozy mystery series. I was sad to leave the English seaside behind but now that i know, I love the land of Tuscany.
Olivia has the dream life a lot of people want, a high power ad-ex job but it has ran her ragged, keep away a lasting relationship, and has now shamed her. Instead of promoting the wine why not enjoy it at its source? Then that is when the dream life truly begins. Except the whole murder thing, But even under Italian skies a murder to solve doesn’t’ seem too bad. And I love that i can read the whole series right now!
This is an entertaining mystery. It took awhile for me to get invested in the storyline, but then I enjoyed figuring out The Who done it.
Loved reading about the region of Europe where this story took place. Also felt like the characters were very real. Totally enjoyed the storyline too!
If you like books about magicians, you’ll enjoy this book. It’s a series, however, so it resolves one story-line, then set up the next one.
Love this whole series
Just really like the author
I loved the setting of this story, Tuscany. I thought the idea of the story was intriguing and, I enjoyed the book. It’s a good clean fun cozy mystery. For me, cozy mysteries are fun entertaining take me away from life books. This book did that for me. On to the second book in the series.
I have to admire a character that is willing to step out of her comfort zone to follow her dream in spite of mom’s advice!
Loved the winery background
This is a fun book especially if you love the idea of the vineyard life.
Olivia Glass, at age thirty-four, is immature and not a favorite character of mine. As a highly placed creative director in a Chicago ad agency, she does nothing when she learns that her ad campaign for a new wine is enabling the prosperity of a wine made of grape juice enhanced with chemicals. She doesn’t act until her boss tells her the account will expand even more, and then she quits on the spot. Her personal life is equally immature. Her long-time, wealthy boyfriend breaks up with her, and she asks for a reason why. He says she isn’t organized and gives as a recent example how he opened his briefcase, in a meeting with twenty potential investors, to find a pair of her panties that said, “Wish you were here.” And Olivia thought that was funny and saw nothing wrong with her actions. Overall the plot was tolerable, and the story adequately developed, but the characters left much to be desired.
This was hard to put down, and am looking forward to reading more in the series.
ok. dialog was a bit repetitive
Surprising ending!
These books portray their lead characters as insipid stupid, non-thinking, spur of the moment with no common sense women. If a woman truly wrote these books she does a huge disservice to all women. Little research is done on the countries involved in these books, there are many inaccuracies – it seems churning out quantity rather than quality is the only theme here. I would not bother reading these, but bought a set of them. With a little bit more thought, and giving the characters more than an air head level of intelligence these could be cute books, would appeal to teenagers.
Light mystery with some good background info on wine making in Italy. Olivia is a little too flighty but can develop into a good series. Would love to proofread.
A great cozy mystery read.
Loved it
Really nicely written tale that takes us to the beauty of Italy. A thoroughly entertaining and whimsical read where empathy to the main character is easily achieved. Love the goat!!! Well written and proof-read. Will happily read more of Fiona Grace’s books in the future.
Wonderful book.
