I don’t often re-read a book, but this one made me sink into the pages and enjoy the story even more the second time around. Romantic and heartfelt, I love it when young love turns into a forever love that won’t be held back by any obstacle. An engaging, fantastic read.
Lisa Kelypas’s AGAIN THE MAGIC. How did I so completely miss this book when it was first published? I rescued an original edition from Goodwill this weekend, and proceeded to drop everything else in my life to read every single page. The plot was so original–for once, the hero was the commoner/servant and the heroine was the one with the noble …
4 stars – It was really good
Lady Aline Marsden loves John McKenna but their love is forbidden because of their different class stations. When their secret is discovered both of their worlds are shattered and McKenna is forced to leave. Twelve years later, McKenna finally returns and is determined to have Alien, but things are no longer the same …
I initially skipped this book because of the way the series is labeled. I thought it was a short novella/nothing really important. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I was actually halfway through book 2, It Happened One Autumn, when I decided to drop it and pick this one up instead. I’m so glad that I did, because it adds so much more depth to …
Lisa Kleypas is simply the best in terms of her writing.
This is another solid one, a prequel to the Wallflower series, and is the upstairs/downstairs romance between the Earl’s sister and the ex-stable boy. It’s a good one with a revenge plot that doesn’t get off the ground, a love for all time, and a heroine that makes some stupid choices.
For …
Second chance
Aline and McKenna grew up as best friends, only she’s an Earls’ daughter and he’s a stable boy to a foot boy. Even though they loved each other it wasn’t meant to be. Caught together, the Earl threatens to harm McKenna. To protect him, Aline has no choice but to reject him and send him away. Twelve years later he returns, but even …
Always my go to author
I love this dual romance story about the Marsden sisters. They were mentioned in earlier Wallflower books, but it was fun to see how they ended up with their husbands. The theme of loving someone despite their flaws is beautiful and almost brought me to tears a time or two. This novel took the romance theme to a new level. Not just attraction and …
I Loved this book. It was hard to put down.
One of my favorite authors!
I love books that give you two love stories for the price of one! After reading all of The Wallflowers series, I was thrilled to discover that I had not read the backstories of Lord Westcliff’s sisters, Aline and Livia. All four of the principle characters have suffered greatly, which makes their individual triumphs that much more rewarding. Of …
Love her books
Again the Magic was a good read. It’s has two love stories in it. This book kinda reminded me of 2 of Jane Austen’s books. Pride and Prejudice because it has two sister’s love stories in it. Aline reminded me of Elizabeth Bennet and Livia reminded me of Jane Bennet. It also reminded me of Persuasion with the second chance love story about the hero …
