Cammie Laroux is back in Alabama—again.
Dragged back to her small town to help her mother recover from surgery while rescuing the family event planning business should be a cinch. Even for a disgraced television chef, right? Wrong.
Among the many secrets Cammie’s family’s been hiding is the fact that their historic home is falling down. Oh, and the man hired to restore the house, Grey Harrison, … house, Grey Harrison, is the same high school and college love of her life who thrashed her heart and dreams ten years ago. Yeah, that guy.
Grey, a widower with a young daughter, has never stopped loving Cammie, and when they are face to face once again, the chemistry is off the charts. Cammie may be in full-blown denial, but letting go is no longer in Grey’s vocabulary, even when winning Cammie’s forgiveness and renovating their love may seem like an impossible build even for a master architect and carpenter.
As Cammie finds herself forgetting all the reasons she can’t trust Grey or love again, he finds himself remembering all the reasons he wants her to stay with him in Alabama… forever.

It wasn’t really my cup of tea to be honest. It is well written, and will likely appeal to women younger than my (middle aged) self. I guess after 30 years of a relationship & marriage with one man I can see things from a much different perspective, and hindsight is available to me and not to the character in a story.
I’m sure many others will be fans of the book though, so I will recommend it.
I will read more from this author. Good book.
This is an extremely complicated and convoluted story (stories) of multiple relationships within 2 families. The author does a very good job weaving them together. Some parts are heartwarming. 1 part makes me wonder about a whole families lack of doing math? ? I quite enjoyed it. Very little skimming done.
This was a good read about true love and forgiveness. I did feel the last chapter hastily threw everything together and I would have liked to see more interaction between Cammie and Samantha since Cammie was going to be her stepmom. It seemed to go from Sam beginning to like Cammie to all of a sudden having her for a stepmom.
Loved this whole series
Charcters develop as the reader is drawn into the book. Appears to be a classic romance but there are many twists in the book among the characters. A good read for a rainy day or a weekend.
Loved this book. A sweet and engaging second chance romance with a few twists. A “never give up” feel good story with a happy ending.
Loved!
Loved all the characters and Howard & Maureen and Cammie & Trey. Second chances times two in the same family! Wonderful
Good, easy read.
Was a good read, with some unexpected plot twists
Cammie Laroux is guilted into coming home to help after her mother’s back surgery. The family conveniently forgets to tell her that her ex is back in town. Susan Sands has crafted some interesting and unique characters in AGAIN, ALABAMA. Can Cammie keep Grey at a distance while he is renovating The Evangeline House? Pecan pie in Ministry, Alabama is serious business…and Cammie is hoping her recipe will launch her new restaurant. Oh, and there is that little ‘hair on fire’ incident that is the gift that keeps on giving.
An interesting take on second chances. An entertaining read for a rainy afternoon.
It was a great Hallmark movie book
This story shows that true love will last even in the face of adversity, in this case 10 years. Mental illness causes disruption in many lives. Fear of parents being placed on the child for their failed relationships caused the child’s life to take a different path. This was a good story and it moved at a good pace through all the different scenarios
The author is from Louisiana and the book read as if she had set it there. It was obvious she knew little about living in Alabama, even setting our classic football rivalry game in October instead of Thanksgiving weekend. Her timeline was off also. It could have been a good book with more research.
Dannie has come back to Alabama to help her mother after surgery and to help refurbish their family home. She runs into her former love, as he is working on her family home. She left after Grey married her best friend. There’s much to forgive as they work through their past
I didn’t really care for this book because Cammie came off like a naive person in this book. She acted as if Grey cheating was only Deb’s fault. She was too forgiving to believe the dumb exscuse he gave her for why he cheated on her.
Love this book. Bought the whole series.
I didn’t want to put it down.
