Book 2 of the After series–newly revised and expanded, Anna Todd’s After fanfiction racked up one billion reads online and captivated readers across the globe. Experience the internet’s most talked-about book for yourself from the writer Cosmopolitan called “the biggest literary phenomenon of her generation.” Tessa has everything to lose. Hardin has nothing to lose…except her. AFTER WE … her. AFTER WE COLLIDED…Life will never be the same. #HESSA
After a tumultuous beginning to their relationship, Tessa and Hardin were on the path to making things work. Tessa knew Hardin could be cruel, but when a bombshell revelation is dropped about the origins of their relationship–and Hardin’s mysterious past–Tessa is beside herself.
Hardin will always be…Hardin. But is he really the deep, thoughtful guy Tessa fell madly in love with despite his angry exterior–or has he been a stranger all along? She wishes she could walk away. It’s just not that easy. Not with the memory of passionate nights spent in his arms. His electric touch. His hungry kisses.
Still, Tessa’s not sure she can endure one more broken promise. She put so much on hold for Hardin–school, friends, her mom, a relationship with a guy who really loved her, and now possibly even a promising new career. She needs to move forward with her life.
Hardin knows he made a mistake, possibly the biggest one of his life. He’s not going down without a fight. But can he change? Will he change…for love?more
You see couples like this all the time and you think, “why does she stay with him, he makes her miserable.” They fight, they break up, they get back together and it is a viscous circle that never seems to end.
I am fascinated with Hardin and Tessa despite the fact that I have read basically 1200 pages of them fighting, making up and then fighting again. Hardin is so insecure and jealous and Tessa is sometimes the same, they like to get back at each other in the most painful ways. But when they are alone, they love each other so fiercely that you can’t help but root for them.
They both have such awful backgrounds that you feel so bad for them and you really want them to grow up and work together. Anna Todd is also great at adding a last minute cliffhanger that really makes you have to immediately buy the next book. Damn her!
its amazing i love both of them after and after we colided please make a after 4 and a after 5!!!!!
After We Collided is my second favorite book from the series. What I love about this book is that Hardin finally stopped hiding his past, he had no more secrets to hide from Tessa, and also he defined his relationship with her, he was no longer afraid of saying that she was his girlfriend. Nevertheless, the fights and the endless cycle of back and forth seems to never end, on the contrary, it gets worse as time passes. Not that it was an obstacle for them, because their love for each other is so strong that it can overcome any rough patch.
I really don’t have any words regarding after we collided but I can say that I liked its just i CANT FIND words to describe it
this book was amazing i could read it over and over again
Loved the whole series
This is not a review of the first book, I read the whole series. If an author puts so much work on a book or a series whether I like it or not I think I can at least read all there is so I can give my honest opinion.
I liked some things but I hated others with a passion.
This couple is the epitome of a toxic, abusive relationship. I wanted to beat some sense into Tessa from chapter one to the supposed HEA.
Hardin is a controlling, abusive, alcoholic ass. He uses and hurts others just because he can. I’m sorry but having a horrible childhood is not an excuse for his behavior.
This series got me so mad, Hardin always gets his way. There’s always someone saving him from repercussions and owning up.
Tessa is a pushover and easily manipulated. She basically gives him free reign. She had a little backbone here and there but she never truly fights for herself.
He tramples over her and she encourages him.
The ending was the worst. After everything the author puts the characters through, she could have give us more on their journey to redemption, the ups and downs, the tribulations, the hard work. Instead we get a few chapters of “yeah I went to therapy” and “yeah now I get along with my family”
And then we get a Usain Bolt speed epilogue. With a two years after and two more years after and ten years after.
I understand the redemption arc but if i got so deep in all the bad i wanted to be as in on the road to good.
So there you go I loved the writing style but I hated the story with a passion.
Now when I hear someone say to me that they want a love story like Hardin and Tessa’s, I know to stay clear of them.
I loved it so much it just might be the best book that I have ever read
Sweet lord the constant ups and downs are so painful it’s a hard to read… but I could not stop. I feel for Hardin and Tessa going through so much all in the name of a most obsessive all consuming love. I’m truly rooting for them to get out of their own way.
This book is very well rounded.
I enjoyed this one a lot more than the first book! I think this one handled the whole hot and cold relationship better, while still having it exist as it is such a part of these characters. After the blow-up from book 1, this is (surprisingly) resolved fairly quickly, and besides little fights, they progress well-ish. Then the big fight happens and this is where Anna Todd quite surprised me after reading book 1. That she carried this fight on and on for a while; an appropriate amount of time for both characters. Enough to build the heartache and the angst within the writing, and for the characters to start trying to make decisions to move on. Again, the drama was still there, but I liked how it carried out.
There’s not much to say in regards to plot. You’ve just read what I need to say above. The characters are the same as book 1, but the one thing I do need to say is that all the stupidity comes together. We all complained how Tessa acted around Hardin, but in this one, it’s she who is pointing out how she is always going back to him and how this is abusive and unhealthy to her. Almost as if the author pre-planned to have Tessa point out her own faults. So before writing her off completely, read this book. I’m also liking how the other characters are getting more involved into these twists.
Judging by the summary of the next one, it sounds like a ride and so, I am ready to board!
This series just get better and better in my opinion. I literally can not put these books down and when I do I find myself constantly wondering what will happen next. Anna Todd is the master of creating drama and love in the same sentence.
In After We Collided we see Hardin and Tessa try to recover from the heartbreaking ending of After. So many questions and possibilities for these two and I was sitting on the edge of my seat to see if they could and would recover from the bet.
Hardin Scott is difficult to say the least but I also feel that at times he gets a really bad rap. Yes, he does and says some crap things from time to time but he also does love Tessa in the only way he knows. I think many of us, myself included, forget that he really doesn’t know anything when it comes to relationships or love. Tessa is his first in many ways.
Tessa Young can be just as difficult. She’s angry and hurt, rightfully so, but she also still loves Hardin. She can be so stubborn sometimes it makes me want to scream at her but that’s also what makes her human. She loves Hardin more than anything but she also expects a lot from him which isn’t bad but sometimes he’s not capable of being the person she wants because he actually just doesn’t know how.
This book will give you all the feels, you’ll be happy, angry, sad. You’ll want to scream, cry and possibly punch something (I suggest a pillow). It’s a emotional roller coaster but it is so worth it. I love these books. #obsessed
i loved the first book in this series, but i got so bored during this one! it was literally all i could do to finish it. also, i felt like there was no story? it was just fighting and make-up sex. that’s the book. that’s it.
4.5 stars for After We Collide by Anna Todd. This is book two in the After Series.
“I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine.”
Book two picks up right were book one ends. Tessa is devastated by what Hardin did. She thought everything these two felt and had been through was real. She has no idea what to believe and feels absolutely broken.
This series has pulled me in. I can not function right now; it has turned me into a mess. I needed to continue to read to learn what happens between Hardin and Tessa. I feel invested in this relationship. Can Tessa forgive Hardin for what he did to her and to them. I was up in the air about what I wanted to happen between them. I mean How could she forgive what he did, but also how could she put the love she has for him aside. Just ugh! I had no idea how to feel.
This book is different from After because we now get to read from Tessa and Hardin’s POV. I do like that better than just Tessa’s POV.
I am telling you this series is great. You better have a lot of time on your hands because you are not going to want to stop once you start. Oh yeah be prepared for another cliffhanger.
I love it
Book 2 started me with a hole in my heart. I really had no idea how in the world Tessa could forgive Hardin for what he’d done. The humiliation, the ache of falling in love with someone to now feel that they had lied about everything they’d said they felt for you, even when they still tried to tell you that they’d fallen in love with you despite the horrible thing they’d done. What was nice in this book was to get some of the chapters from Hardin’s viewpoint. To see how he really felt with her, but to also feel how his mind worked whenever he would get mad and be an ass to her. I began to root for some of the other characters, Zed for one. He’d always been nice to Tessa, nicer than Hardin. Although to be fair, Hardin wasn’t really nice to anyone. And yes, Zed was in with the group who did the horrible thing to Tessa in the first book. But he seemed to be so sorry and feel so horrible about what he’d done. But Tessa knew that in her heart, she would probably never be able to get over Hardin. So of course the relationship seems to eventually get back into the cycle of the emotional issues, although it does get better, as I said, Hardin gets better, and even Tessa learns there are some things she needs to work on in how she deals with the relationship. So much happens in this book, but really it ends with a happy time for Tessa and Hardin relationship-wise, but a huge surprise walks into Tessa’s life at the end.
Just love this series!!!
And the devouring continues. Hardin and Tessa’s story has sucked me right into their vortex of a relationship. As soon as I finish a book, I HAVE to start the next. I haven’t felt this way about a series in quite some time, and I thankful to feel this way about a series again.
This series is becoming one of my favourites but oh my goodness I am not sure how Anna Todd does it, creates long novels but keeps you so freaking entranced to the point that I have finished and feel like I have been on the biggest and longest roller coaster and I’m exhausted but I absolutely loved After We Collided.
In this book I feel that it brought out a really different side to the characters and I loved see the way they were changing, sometimes Tessa was really immature and I wanted to ring her neck and Hardin oh my god I just wanted to punch him in the face. In saying all that this is again is what makes me love the book and getting all the feels when reading it.
I haven’t had a book in so long that I was at work and threw my iPad and everyone at work laughed at me because I was so angry with what I had read and stormed outside, then I read a little more and after that I drove home so fast because I needed to know what was going to happen it’s been a while that a book hasn’t left my mind and I keep thinking about.
I felt nervous, sometimes my tummy flipped I was just having all the emotions, I was sad, I was, happy, I cried a little, I laughed.
I know Hardin isn’t the perfect male character and he has a lot of anger problems and goes way to far and I don’t like it when he is hurtful towards Tessa and would be mean, but for some reason I just want him to take down his wall because I feel there is a very passionate guy who loves fiercely but he has a real bad opinion on love and that his what is ruining him.
Tessa I feel in this book becomes stronger I know it probably doesn’t seem like it to some people but I see a little bit and she is learning to fight back, sometimes she does some real dumb stuff but I can see is going to fight for what she wants and she just needs to build her confidence up.
I am falling very hard for this series and loving every minute of it and if you haven’t read this series then if you love a**holes and angst and drama that this is for you I highly recommend it
Another 5 stars for this baby
It’s hard for me to put my thoughts into words on this book. I’m personally enjoying it quite a bit, but I know that there are a lot of people out there who think this book/series is promoting abuse and unhealthy relationships. I disagree. Yes, the relationship is tumultuous, yes there are a lot of ups and downs, and yes there are a lot of mistakes being made by both parties…however…I feel like this is an appropriate portrayal of an emotional relationship at this age. My own relationships at this age seemed do or die and like everything hinged on this one person in my life. I’ve, of course, grown up since then, but young people at 19-21 are highly emotional and prone to these types of relationships. I don’t think the author is trying to say it’s a healthy way to be. In fact, the point seems to be that they are going about their relationship all wrong and that they need to learn and grow and figure out how to do things differently…which is healthy. We are meant to learn from our relationships as we grow. We are meant to change how we react to certain situations as we learn and mature.
That part of it aside. I like that we learn a bit more about Hardin’s past and what makes him the way he is. I like that he’s coming clean about his past in order to move forward with Tessa. There is a long way to go, but I feel like he is trying and that’s more than can be said for some guys at this stage in their lives.
I really like the friendship between Tessa and Landon. I think he’s a great person and I like that he’s there for her when she needs him. I do not trust Zed and I’m not sure I buy into all of his words. He says the right things but I have to wonder what’s going on behind the scenes with him. It would be intriguing to read this story from his POV.
I will continue to read the series, because I am enjoying it and I just have to know what happens. If you enjoyed the Wattpad story, I’m sure you’ll like the books. If you enjoyed the first book, I guarantee you’ll enjoy the 2nd.
