I was settin’ up to live a good life, the kinda life I’d fought hard to deserve.
With a good woman––the best woman––at my side, a degree under my belt, and the whole world at my feet, I was livin’ the kinda happily ever after usually denied the rebellious and the criminal. I’d turned my back on that kinda life, thinkin’ I needed that clean, wholesome kinda happy.
Then the devil came dressed in … the wings of an angel and took someone from me.
And I realized I was wrong.
There was no clean and wholesome for a man like me with poetry in his heart and outlaw in his blood. The life I’d been livin’ was only purgatory, holding me over until the time came for me to descend into Hell and pick up the tarnished crown that awaited me.
I was condemning my woman to a life of violence, blood, and heartache, but I had to hope she’d step up and finally be the rough and tumble queen to my Fallen MC king.
After the Fall can be read as a stand-alone romance, but you first meet the couple in Lessons in Corruption (The Fallen Men, #1)

Ok seriously what is going on with you Giana?!!
When author enjoy so much tearing their readers apart like Giana done with this book, I really wanna kick her behind cause how could she done it to King and Cress and the whole Fallen clan???
And then I wanna hug this woman so hard for her brilliant writing!
The fourth book in the series and second book of King and Cressida story, you really need to read from the start of the series. Cause there’s so much spoiler on what happen to previous book in this one.
Now about this book.
Do you know that meme that say when the couple in the book already declared their undying love to each other, then just wait for the disaster? Cause authors are vicious like that.
So, enjoy the ride!
That’s all I’m saying about this book… Insert evil laugh here
I love The Fallen Men series, but I have to admit that the deliciously romantic, dirty talking biker poet King Garro is my favorite. So I was happily surprised to discover that this yummy biker and his brave queen Cressida’s love story would continue with After the Fall.
I was taken in by the first page, King and Cress’ dual POVs entranced me. King is such a lover at heart but with a warrior’s mind and I loved reading his inner thoughts on his family, the other Fallen, and Cress. Of course, King and Cress are still just as scorching hot and romantic as ever, even with an angsty, bittersweet storyline.
One of my favorite parts of After the Fall, besides King’s romantic poems, is just being back in Entrance surrounded by the crazy but loyal Garro’s and their Fallen MC brethren. These characters are so familiar to me, though, that it felt like I had never left this world.
*I highly recommend reading at least Lessons in Corruption to see King and Cress’ bittersweet love story begin.
I am in awe. I honestly don’t know how else to put it. Ever since I read Lessons in Corruption I knew I could never get enough of the infamous King Kyle Garro. No matter what, I’d always need more and my appetite for him would never be fulfilled. When Giana announced that the fourth Fallen Men book would be none other than King and his Queenie I couldn’t for the life of me contain my excitement. It’s like my wishes had been answered, but I had no idea the emotional ride I’d be in for.
From the very first page I was pulled back to the Fallen world. Who would’ve known what I was in for, and all the emotions I’d endure and just what my heart would go through just from reading the prologue alone. A mess—I was a complete and blubbering mess.
There isn’t a shadow of a doubt that King Garro IS and ALWAYS will be my favorite biker poet. I love the way he expresses his feelings and isn’t shy about it. The way he loves is fierce and magnetic and just everything. And he loves Cressida intensely and wholly and it’s just so beautiful. There aren’t enough words to describe King, other than he’s light and strength and has a heart of pure gold and would go to the ends of the world for the people he loves.
Cressida loves just as fiercely. She challenges King the only way she can. And just like King, she would do anything and everything to protect the people she loves. She’s strong, caring and intelligent. A true Queen for her King.
Crees and King are everything. They care and love each other so deeply. Their connection is just out of this world. They are without a doubt made for each other and perfect for one another. A love like theirs is epic—it’ll live on in eternity.
After the Fall is an emotional and bumpy ride. Filled with action, suspense and hold-on-to-your-seat moments. It’ll have your heart in a vice and make you bleed. You’ll be feeling everything and will no doubt shed tears. This journey that Giana has beautifully penned is not easy, but each and every heartbreaking moment was well worth it.
MUST READ
Jesus Christ,
MY HEART!…
Giana Darling has done it… AGAIN. Giana became a fast favorite of mine with this series so when I saw book four was happening, I was over the moon and I was not disappointed.
The author throws us back into the world of The Fallen Men from the very first page. I thought this series was over after Good Gone Bad, but I was so wrong and I am so glad I was. Falling back into this world was amazing. It was brutal, it was emotional AF, and it was one hell of a ride but I loved every damn bump there was.
I have so much to say about King, SO MUCH… But… keeping this as brief as I can.. which is hard! I didn’t think was possible but I was proven wrong because I’m even more obsessed with King. He’s passionate, he’s romantic, he consumed me, consumed my heart. He’s giving, loving, and he’s not afraid to show it and he does show it. He’s everything and more than you want in a man. Giana has the ability to make me fall head over heels in love with fictional characters and I am in love with King, more than in love I think, I couldn’t get enough!!
Cressida is strong and she is fierce and everything that comes her way, she can withstand it and she holds her own. I love that about her. She’s a strong lead female and I love that in the main character She is truly the Queen, and is the perfect Queen for King.
These two are finally ready to take the next step in their relationship. But things aren’t that simple. With trouble in the club and the tension high, will they be able to take that leap and get engaged and married or will s**t hit the fan before they get the chance to do so. There is so much going on, so many threats against them. Will these two finally get their happily ever after?
These two… I love them. I ship them hard. I can’t get enough of them. This are no flowers and rainbows. This is an emotionally crippling rollercoaster that despite the warning I got at the beginning of the book, I WAS NOT READY FOR! My emotions were on high alert, I knew and always know to go into a Giana Darling book that it would hit me with a mountain of emotions and After the Fall did just that… And I loved every damn minute of it… I crave this kind of romance book. A story that grabs hold of you from the beginning and it doesn’t let up the entire way through. I honestly cannot recommend this book or series enough. It’s a must-read.
Take a chance, fall in love with these Fallen Men, but be prepared for an emotional and bumpy ride!
Flawless. Absolutely flawless. Written with perfection, but I expected nothing less from Ms. Darling. She is a master at her craft and her words will always have the ability to suck me in from the beginning. It was addictive, all-consuming, thrilling, full of suspense, mystery and of course, love and passion.
6 STARS!!
This author never fails to thrill me time after time. She has done it once again with a return to her Fallen Men Series. I LOVE these people! I can’t even call them characters anymore because her deft writing has brought them to life in my head. They live there, walking, talking, breathing beings in my mind and heart. This one’s a standalone told in dual POV. If you haven’t read Books 1-3 yet, you can still jump in here and enjoy, but I’d recommend starting at the beginning just because it’s so good you’ll love Book 4 even more. I’ve read them all and this one felt like once again I’ve come home. I never want to leave these people! I want to be one of their family! They’re lives, loves, triumphs and tragedies all reverberate in my mind long after I finish reading. This book, like the others, will set your emotions on fire. If you’ve never read an MC book before, you MUST start with The Fallen Men Series! They will ensnare you in their realm forever…and you’ll love every minute of it!
I have loved the Fallen Men Series from the very beginning! My enchantment with King and Cressida’s story was the beginning of this captivation for me when I began this journey by reading Lessons in Corruption, book one of this series. Giana has added so much more to my feelings with this book about this couple, this family, this Fallen Men world! There will be no spoilers in my review as you must read it for yourself to understand just what kind of a ride it is!
My feelings are indescribable for the journey Giana took me on filling my heart with so much emotion. There’s a family of full of loyalty and there’s a love that knows no bounds that gets put through so much.
I have to say King and Cress have always been my favorites in this series and this book took me to the brink in every possible feel! I absolutely loved it!
There is love unending and profound and just so deep that sears your soul. Cress is the true Queen for her King!
This book is an excellent read. It was sexy and sweet, thrilling and heartbreaking! I can’t wait for more Fallen Men!
***5 Stars***
When this book was announced I was all KINDS of happy to know that I’d be able to dive back into the world of The Fallen Men.
When the couple was announced. I was intrigued and a little wary simply because I didn’t want my happy bubble to be broken ~ as can happen when a couple gets another book in a series ~ even though I figured it would be put together again.
Then I read the blurb and went…”Well, fuck” The blurb does say it all, but is also quite vague (something I shouldn’t be too mad about since some of my own reviews are vague as well and this one will be) The scenarios I was coming up with were not killing the anxiety I was feeling.
So, I waffled over whether or not I would read this book because I didn’t want to have any ill feelings towards the author or characters if things truly went sideways…but curiosity won out…and holy hell.
My heart. The cycle of it breaking and being put back together again was insane, but this book had me loving both King and Cress even more than I already did, as well as needing so much more of the Fallen family. Love, loyalty, sacrifice. That’s what they live and breath even when it hurts and this baby is chock full of those moments, as well as moments of laughter to balance it out.
The author put me through one hell of a storm, but it was totally worth it in the end and I’m happy I didn’t chicken out. Also, I know it says that this can be read as a stand-alone, and I suppose it can, but, if nothing else, at least read Lessons in Corruption. You’ll thank yourself for it.

Heaven On Earth
A love story that sears the soul! The author has made me fall in love with The Fallen Men time and time again. King has continued to be a favorite book boyfriend since Lessons in Corruption. The biker poet delivers romance and devotion to the woman he loves like no other.
Their love was immeasurable, yet their lives were not without pain and heartache. A corrupt man hell bent on vengeance was willing to do anything to take down The Fallen MC. However, he never imagined the lengths a Fallen man will go to protect his family.
At the crux of it, this is a story of family. Not always the family you were born into, but the family you create through love and loyalty. They pick you up when you fall. Remind you to breathe when you think you no longer can. Give you a reason to go on when you can’t seem to find it yourself. They fight beside you to avenge what’s been taken.
This story was an emotional roller coaster. From new life to lost friends, your emotions will run high.
King’s love for Cressida is incomparable. They live for the other. Without one, they are only parts of a whole. The most beautiful and sensual love scene EVER was shared between them. A professing of love through words written in ink on flesh and then the culmination of that love through physical intimacy. There are no words to describe that kind of beautiful, unbreakable bond.
The Fallen Men MC continues to bring us a poignant storyline, epic love and great characters with depth. I look forward to more of these bad boys with big hearts.
Awake, arise, and be forever Fallen.”
After The Fall is PHENOMENAL!! King Kyle Garro and Cressida Irons have been living together for quite awhile, but there are no rings, no wedding date in sight.
King is trying to do what he can to encourage to make incremental changes that might keep the Entrance PD off their back, but the Old Guard doesn’t want to hear it. Cressida is wondering if she should bring up getting married in a more formal conversation.
King and Cress have had the talk, talked about getting married, having a baby, all that important stuff, but they’ve never talked about when. Cressida doesn’t know why, but King is more and more distracted by the day. Whenever she asks he brushes it off, or distracts her with loads of HOT, yummy sexy times.
Meanwhile things have changed in Entrance, and not for the better. Someone is trying to destroy the club from the inside out it seems, and have concentrated their dirty, corrupt behavior on those that have the protection of The Fallen. King finally sees the direction this must take, and after that all hell breaks loose.
The Fallen will never be the same, and King and his Queenie are in the direct line of fire. Will they survive, or will King make the only decision he knows will force the enemy’s hand?
An amazing book full of non-stop action, beautiful poetry from the heir apparent to Zeus’ Iron Throne, and fantastically HOT, steamy sexy times. I straight up ugly cried through parts of this book, but as always Giana Darling saves the best for last. You will cry, laugh at the antics of King and his brothers, and swoon at the beautiful way King and Cressida grow ever closer. A ton of surprises, and the comfort of meeting back up with The Fallen Men MC who treat their Old Ladies like gold. Worth far more than five stars! I can’t imagine what Ms. Darling’s next move will be, but I’m standing in line to get it!!

This is the 4th book in this phenomenal series and is King and Cress’ story. This is a beautifully written tale which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout, as well as having heartbreak, passion, loyalty, and love which all leads to a heart-wrenching all-consuming magical masterpiece. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more from this gifted author, whose work I highly recommend for all.
Hold on, for this is a bumpy and emotional ride! From the very first page you are pulled back into the Fallen world. We met them in Lessons in Corruption but their story wasn’t over. Not when you’re in love with a man of the Fallen MC. Cressida Irons and King Garro are ready to finally take the next step in their relationship but with tensions high in the club, can they finally get engaged and walk down the aisle before chaos ensues? So many threats against the MC might be too much to move on from. Get ready for another wild, roller coaster in the Fallen MC series. I cannot say too much but be prepared and maybe bubble wrap your e reader & have a few tissues. This does give you a little synopsis of the prior book, lessons in corruption, in case you did not read that as this can be read as a stand-alone. I enjoyed all the characters, old and new, and their interactions throughout. Get Ready! Told in dual POV
WOW… I can say with complete honesty, I have never wanted to throw my Kindle so hard in my LIFE. PREPARE for this one folks. I can’t stress that enough, clear your calendar, grab some tissues, some chocolate, a blanket to cuddle under… This one has all of it! This is a stand alone but BEST read with the rest of the Fallen Men books. King Gallo is just THE guy every little girl dreams of, and Cress is the only woman he’s ever needed more than the air he breathes and their story will absolutely grip you, like reach into your heart and squeeze. Fair warning, hold on for the ride and see it through, this author keeps her promises. Its a book you won’t soon forget, the words will bury themselves that deep!
