I was settin’ up to live a good life, the kinda life I’d fought hard to deserve.
With a good woman––the best woman––at my side, a degree under my belt, and the whole world at my feet, I was livin’ the kinda happily ever after usually denied the rebellious and the criminal. I’d turned my back on that kinda life, thinkin’ I needed that clean, wholesome kinda happy.
Then the devil came dressed in … the wings of an angel and took someone from me.
And I realized I was wrong.
There was no clean and wholesome for a man like me with poetry in his heart and outlaw in his blood. The life I’d been livin’ was only purgatory, holding me over until the time came for me to descend into Hell and pick up the tarnished crown that awaited me.
I was condemning my woman to a life of violence, blood, and heartache, but I had to hope she’d step up and finally be the rough and tumble queen to my Fallen MC king.
After the Fall can be read as a stand-alone romance, but you first meet the couple in Lessons in Corruption (The Fallen Men, #1)

JUST FREAKING WOW!!
At first I wasn’t too excited about King and Cress getting another book because Hey, how can Giana Darling make another book about them just as great but damned if she didn’t!! So damn good! This book gutted me towards the end! I was pissed that Giana was doing this to her readers because I Damn well needed a happy ending. I cried, I laughed, I raged, I swooned… you name it and I did it.
I love how King is all bad-ass alpha with the compassion and never ending love for Cress and not ashamed to proclaim it for all to see. I love how Cress is this sweet teacher but also had the bad-ass quality to match her King. I loved that she was so truly hurting that she had the need to serve her own justice out to Danner … loved that we were able to see that side of Cress. I loved how The Fallen rallied around her.
AMAZING BOOK Giana Darling and I’m so excited that we will have more books in the Fallen Series.
After the Fall [The Fallen Men Series, Book Four] by Giana Darling

*~*~*~*
: King Kyle Garro is back home in Entrance with a degree in business and a job prospecting for his father’s MC club. His plan is to take the club into a new era. He has his Queen, Cressida, at his side and everything seems damn near perfect.
Unfortunately, the cartel has moved into town and the corrupt police chief has sided against the Fallen. Enemies are everywhere and no one can be trusted.
Will King be able to help lead his family through this reign of terror? Or will this biker poet succumb to the tragedy he feels brewing in his heart?
*~*~*~*
: Give me all the dirty talk!! Good LAWD does King know how to talk to a LADY! *fans self* The way he loves Cress in his heart and with his body is soooo next level. I’m giving this one .5/5—we get variety, alpha talk, and frequency.

$: FREE on KU! This might be the fourth book in the series but it can TOTALLY be read as a standalone! Giana continues to prove her mastery over the written word with her beautifully descriptive and lyrical diction. I freaking *LOVE* her writing style. LOVE! Download this book ASAFP.
After the Fall by Giana Darling is bk 4 in The Fallen Men series. This book continues Cressida Irons and King Kyle Garro’s story.
It’s 4 years later after Lessons in Corruption (book 1) and Cress and King are ready to take the next steps in their relationship. Yet King is dealing with some club problems which end up coming to a head and the club members start to be targeted by a corrupt mayor and some dirty police officers. The club problems end up putting a strain on his relationship with Cress. Their chemistry is intense and sizzling. The emotional rollercoaster ride is amazing. Cressida wants to rule besides King and help him but the unrest/divide that occurs causes such heartbreak and pain with Cress; while King makes sacrifices out of love that he has for Cressida and love for his family. This is one story that has the feels, romance, drama, angst, twists, action, loyalty, betrayal, sacrifices , intense love, passion, secrets, intrigue, and deep love. Great addition to the Fallen Men series.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *********
I’ll be completely honest, there was a fairly large part of me that wanted book four to be about Nova, and that part was a little sad when I found out that it wasn’t. To be ready and to remember everything that had happened in the past, I decided to re-read the Fallen Men series. After doing so, my love and adoration of the love King and Cress have got a thousand times bigger and the need for a second book was huge (especially reading Fallen Son and Good Gone Bad). The teasers Giana posted every once in a while made me very excited (and a little nervous) for this book and when I finally got to read it, I fell in love with this world all over again, I fell in love with Giana’s beautiful writing; I had high hopes for this book and it exceeded my expectations by a lot — to give you an idea, I finished this book in less than a day (17 hours to be precise). This book had everything I loved about The Fallen, the relationships among them, and of course, King and Cress. I know Cress got a lot of hate in Lessons in Corruption, I loved her though, but she quickly becomes the woman so many people love Lou for. She becomes a badass, determined, brave, strong, but at the same loving, caring and supportive, Queen. And King, I didn’t think I could love King anymore than I did before, but I do. In After the Fall, King is sexy, swoony, romantic, sweet, poetic biker King. In my opinion, he is the perfect book boyfriend – an Alpha, but not an asshole to his love interest, he will do anything for her. As for the book itself, I couldn’t put it down, it was sooooo good! It had everything to make a book beautifully perfect. Yes, towards the end it was an emotional rollercoaster, but it made the book that much better and the love between King and Cress that more special. Among tearful moments, this amazing book contained steamy moments, as well as happy, swoony, romantic, suspenseful and scenes filled with action. It didn’t feel like I was reading a book or watching a story play out in front of me, it was as if I was one of the background characters watching and participating in everything that happened. It was almost as if I could go outside and I would see King and Cress zoom by on his motorcycle. It made me feel like I was a part of that world and when I was finished and made me wish that I was in real life. It’s hard to explain in words how much I absolutely LOVED this book and highly recommend it. It is my favourite book from Giana and one of my favourite books in general, if not my number one favourite! Through everything that happened, the good and the bad, I loved every moment of it. Giana says that there is beauty in pain, and in this book you can see that she is right. There is beauty in pain but also with pain there can be beauty. We can see this with the loss of an amazing Fallen Men character and with the sunrise and cliff that is a part of their friendship. When a character in this book goes through something hard, though there may not be any joy or beauty in her emotions, there are words as beautiful as the sunrise. I’m trying to find a way to end this review that will make you want to get this book, but unfortunately, I can’t. Just trust me (and Giana of course) and read this amazing, beautiful, enthralling, poetic, tragic story.
Action, suspense, and steam that will keep you going through a dark night. King and Cressida have personal things to work in their lives but at the same thing there are dangers abound and King has to make choices. This is riveting and hooked me from the very beginning.
After The Fall (Fallen Men 4)

Giana Darling has done it again folks!
Where do I even begin with this book?! I finished it last night and needed time to process my feelings after reading it.
King is everything! I love our biker poet. He is so damn romantic. And I loved seeing how Cress formed into the strong women we all knew she was.
Such an amazing read. And talk about an emotional one as well. Giana really put us through it.
Overall.. I think this was the perfect story for King and Cress. I give this book 5 beautiful stars.
Can’t wait for the next installment in The Fallen Men series.
*arc received for honest review.*
Well, its about time for the Fallen men to shine. I never thought this will King and Cressida stories chapter. King Garro, the heir of the Fallen Men. My Poetic King..
After the Fall, was like a sight portrait from Son of Anarchy tv show.. Everything about the brotherhood was tight bond..I can feel the love and devotion from each of the Fallen families. I was in awe to see a mature version of King Garro!
Beautiful love stories that will keep you going.
My first Giana Darling was Lessons in Corruption, the beginning of King and Cressida’s love story. King loves his Cress, his Queen. The Fallen men love their Queenie. This book is full of action and all the feels. You will laugh, cry and even think about throwing your kindle. I fell in love with these character this book is a continuation into this wonderful world Giana Darling has created. I cannot stress how much everyone who loves MC books need to read ,one of the best MC series out there.
I thought this book would be about a different couple, but was pleasantly surprised to see it focus on King and Cressida. They are 4 years deep into their relationship now and Cressida has really blossomed under King’s love and support, along with the Fallen family around her. After that cliffhanger in Good Gone Bad, this book starts before those events that will eventually lead up to it, giving the reader a clear picture of why things are moving forward the way they are. King is prospecting for the Fallen because he will inherit the throne being that he is the son of Zeus. While he juggles all of his responsibilities, he reflects a lot through poetry on how much Cressida means to him and what her life will be like once they are bound together on paper. There is a quite a bit of an ode to King and Cressida’s love for each other in here, as part of the lead up to the turning point. As for the meat of the story, Zeus is in trouble, leaving the rest of the Fallen and their families vulnerable to danger from the police department, where some corrupt members have it out for the MC gang. I knew something major was going to happen, possibly heartbreaking, so when it did happen, I think I always knew inside that it wasn’t as bad as it seemed because of the hints dropped that everything would be okay in the end. In which case, that lessened the overall impact. I did like catching up with this crew of characters and seeing how a lot of them have grown and banded together like a tight knit family of all different kinds of personalities and upbringings. What was incredibly distracting was the complete lack of editing – some words were simply the wrong words that could convey a different meaning all together, along with typos and grammatical errors and so forth. That tends to really detract from the quality of the book because the writer really does have a knack for writing.
Cress & King were amazing characters in the first book in this series and I was so glad that the author gave them another book. They were as on fire in this book as the last book and I had to fan my self many times. Getting back into the club was amazing. I love how this author weaves romance in with awesome drama that keeps you hooked from the first page. King grew from his last book, finally moving forward with Cress, trying to get more responsibility, be seen as an asset to the club, and just being a good kid. I say kid because he’s younger then me lol. Never the less the author did an awesome job, now I need more from another brother in the MC! 4 stars #2OCCJD
This was a 3.5 star for me. I don’t know why I had such a difficult time reading this story. I’m usually a book a day girl and this one took me 4 days. It picked up steam the last third of the book and despite the pain I was feeling (due to the storyline) along with everyone else, the story really was worth it.
Giana Darling and her Fallen Men have become a favorite of mine and I was all too excited for this novel. After The Fall is the 4th book in the Fallen Men series and it focuses on Cressida Irons and King Kyle Garro and how their relationship progressed since we last saw them in book 1. This is a story about family, sacrifice and love and what people are willing to do to protect those they love. The story will evoke a range of emotions from you and will definitely give you all the feels. It was well written and will have you hooked from beginning to end as you fall in love with the Fallen Men all over again. With compelling characters, an epic romance and an engrossing plot, After The Fall was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of MC romance.
I love being back with the Fallen MC men!! Giana’s talent for bringing an entire motorcycle club to life is incredible!! I was carried away right from the very beginning. King Kyle Garro and Cressida have that special kind of passion and intense love. King is the perfect BBF that we all crave, alpha, expressive, confident and oh so sexy. Get yourself ready for a rough ride that Giana delivers time and time again. Definitely my favourite MC series and so happy to get more time with King!!
There’s no end to my love for you. It’s woven into the very fabric of my soul so even when our bodies die, we’ll never stop lovin”
Where do I even begin…
I knew something big was going to go down when I started reading. It was the when, who or what that had me on edge. Parts of this book had my crying happy tears and sobbing like a baby.
There were parts were King made me blush, that man can talk dirty and write poetry so sexy a nun would swoon. Lol
I loved falling back in with The Fallen. I’m pretty excited for book 5. I have a hunch who might be the main people. We shall see…
I fell in love with “King” Kyle Carro and his Queen, Cressida, in book 1 of the Fallen Men, MC series. The author gave us a wonderful storyline in Lessons in Corruption, that starred this couple and theirs was a match made in heaven with happy ever after written all over it. Or Was it? All I can say after reading After the Fall is HOLY COW the author took my heart torn it to shreds and slowly mended it as only she can do. As I read this book all I could think of was Oh No She didn’t. I wanted to stop reading so many times (not because the writing was poor, because trust me it was exceptional) but because my mind kept telling me what was coming and I just couldn’t bear it – yet I couldn’t put it down either. So I persevered and I’m sorry Giana if your ears were burning the several times I may have cursed you a little.
What an amazing storyline. King is the Prez of The Fallen Men, MC’s son. But he wanted a different life for Cressina than the biker world and they were living it. But Family is Family which means the world to King so his biker life was never too far away. But as we all know, you can’t turn away from your past and when the past comes calling, King knows the only thing he can do is return to his roots, hope his queen will follow and finally pay whatever price must be paid to keep his queen and his family safe.
Outstanding read that held me spellbound. I can not recommend this book enough. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Amazing Stars. (Believe me when I say if I could I’d rate it a lot higher than 5 stars)
This is the 4th book in the Fallen Men series and the second book focusing on King and Cress. I opened this book and read the warning and thought what did you do! King Garro is all that and a bag of chips. He may be young but he has the maturity some men never reach.
“You have this way of lookin’ at me,” he murmured huskily as he continued to card his hand through my hair. “Lookin’ at me like I’m the sun and you’re f**ing dazzled by me.”
It’s been 4 years since Cress met King and she has changed a lot and grown into the woman she was meant to be. She always wanted a real family now she has one.
“You mean like what happened to Adam and Eve after the fall?” Ares asked, his eyebrows screwed up as he considered my quandary. “Yeah, bud, kinda like that.” “I think,” he said carefully. “They lived “Happily ever after doesn’t hafta mean nothin’ ever goes wrong,” he argued, small fists clenched. “It means you love each other through everything, the good and the bad.” He paused, hesitatin’ before looking at me. “Just like what it means to be family, right?”
Yes this story kept me on pins and needles throughout the whole book. It was a total roller coaster ride of emotions from so angry I was ready to throw my kindle across the room to sad, anxious, happy and oh heck no.This story tore me apart and put me back together. At one time I had to put it down because I was crying and had to compose myself. There are not that many authors that can do that.
I can not wait to read more about Wrath and Priest they are so tortured and mysterious.
I’m hoping Nova and Lil’s book is next later this year.
Well, this book brought the FEELS a million times over. I absolutely loved getting a glimpse into the HEA world of King and Cress from Lesson’s in Corruption. They had such a sexy student/teacher romance in that book. This amazing MC book world that this author has created is hands-down one of my favorite to read.
This book? It brought the angst in spades. I was crybaby central! King is such a unique character. He’s the badboy, motorcycle club loving man who is soft and tender to his woman. He knows the importance and significance of finding real, true love, and he cherish’s what he has with Cress. He’s poet, a reckless romantic, and an honorable, dependable man. I just love him so much, and he might have taken back the spot as my top Fallen Men.
Cress was brilliant in this book. Trying to navigate her way through this new MC world she’s been given. Her love for King is what keeps her on course with being a rebel woman, and it’s cute with the things that she has to figure out. I love how King teases Cress about the lack of cuss words in her vocabulary and her general good girl attitude. These two are absolutely perfect for eachother.
I can’t recommend this book, or this book world enough. Read it, love it, cry with me, and enjoy the journey that this author takes
Oh man, she really wrung the emotions out of me with this book! King & Cressida are so intense and sweet together! And I still love Daddy Zeus, so glad he was in the book too! There were twists and turns, foreshadowing, suspense and heartbreak in this one. I cried! It was definitely a page turner.
Another book about King Garro and Cressida Irons? Yes please and thank you Giana Darling!!!
After the Fall takes place 4 years after Lessons In Corruption, the book we first met them in. God their love is so beautiful!!! This book!! I can’t even put in to words just how good it is. King is still just as swoony and Cress is still so strong….and man, does she need to be strong. I found my self crying a few times…..sometimes omfg why, heartbreaking tears and some very happy tears. This book is angsty and oh so steamy. It is perfection and Giana Darling is a Queen of words!!
Just like the other books in this series, this book is amazing! With amazing characters and a storyline that is an emotional rollercoaster. You only thought you knew King and Cress, just wait till you read this story! This is a must read and can be read as a stand-alone but I would read them all just to see the whole world these men make up.
