What comes after His Banana? Technically, that would be me.Before you assume I’m a potassium sucking harlot,Let me explain… people could create. Practically dripping with so much perfection you could choke on it.
Then again, I was almost certain he was certifiably insane.
Within a few minutes of meeting him, he was already posing as a nude model for my clay sculpture class in a failed attempt to expose himself to me.
So when he handed me a banana, it was almost normal by comparison.
And after his banana found its way into my mouth, well… I wish I could say that was where the saga of Miles Chamberson and I ended.
Miles
I prefer to start every potential relationship with an oddly phallic, edible object.
Why, you ask? It’s simple.
Watch any woman with a suggestive object and prepare to unlock the secrets of the female psyche.
Does she favor it with a secretive little smile? Nymphomaniac. Does she flinch back, only to guiltily grab it a moment later? Cautious, but wild once she opens up. Does she throw it back at your head and score a direct hit, concussing you for two weeks? Softball player.
Or, does she pick it up and devour it, inch by inch? Does she slide that bad boy into the hatch and relish every moment of it? If she does, you have yourself a keeper.
The recipient of my latest banana was the latter, but there was one glaring problem.
Commitment and I had a troubled past. And now my old man, Bruce Chamberson, says there’s only one way I’ll earn my rightful spot in the family business. I’ve got to show him I can stick with something “for once”.
Lucky for me, I’ve got just the girl in mind.

It was so good to see the antics of Grammy and William again, also the seriousness that is Bruce!
Miles is Bruce’s son, and after asking his dad for a job and being turned down, as he needed to prove he can stick to something, Miles decided to stick to a relationship!
Rey is a college student and needed a subject for her abnormal project in psychology, and she just happened to choose Miles!
It’s funny how two completely different people, with different views and ideas have so much in common! Rey feels guilt, Miles doesn’t – until he realises he actually has feeling for her. What follows if a funny, loveable story of two people who just want to find happiness!
I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book as the kids if the characters you’ve liked previously can be a bit hit or miss. But I LOVED it. The characters are brilliant and it’s written in the same way with the same sense of humour as the other books. It made me chuckle so many times. I even spit out my drink at one point. Just so enjoyable and such a good read.
Excellent story. Penelope Bloom has an excellent writing style. I enjoyed every book that she wrote. This book is no exception. It was wonderful,
Rey and Miles are a unique couple. This book also brings characters back from previous stories. Grammy is funny and straight forward.
Miles and Rey will have you laughing throughout. I cannot wait until the next book is released.
Good rainy day read when you need a laugh and a mood lift.
After reading the first series of his banana I wasn’t sure where the author could go with this story, but it didn’t disappoint. The next generation of chamberson’s were about to bring chaos and humour to the world. Miles was a perfect blend of both his father and uncle. The fact that the old clan was mixed into this story only added to the wonderful storyline, making it a most enjoyable read. Rey was sweet and innocent, determined to go to any lengths to have her family the future they deserved, but it came with a cost. The forest scene had me in stitches and any reference to Grammy and William will make any story a 5 stars review. Truly loved it.
Does she want to date him or research him….. he is lovable so who can resist him
So I fell in love with Penelope Bloom’s fun, quirky, lovable and sexy characters and the world that she wove for the readers in her Objects of Attraction series. If you have read them all, like I have, then you will be pleased to read that she has started on the spawn of the various pairings, so the second generation. This all kicks off with Bruce and Natasha’s son Miles. This kid is a bundle of buttoned up and letting it all flow, so a mix of his father and his uncle. But he is so handsome and kissable that you fall in love with him. So he is off to college and is having an interesting time to say the least.
Rey North is a NYU undergrad who wants to follow in her late father’s footsteps and be a psychologist. She is studying hard and even though she is broke she is doing well. She is in line to get an internship at one of the best private practices in NYC. In order to secure this she needs to write a research paper on abnormal behavior but first she needs to find the perfect research subject. Enter Miles Chamberlain. The only problem is that she cannot make up her mind if she wants to date him, as he is handsome and very sexy, or research him, as he does have some interesting and quirky behavior.
For Miles he definitely finds the beautiful Rey very attractive. But he does not have a good track record with dating, poor kid didn’t have a chance coming from his paternal side the dating gene is haywire. So he decides to make mini-dates or pre-dates instead so that he can figure out the perfect first date. These times that they spend together are really lovely and allow them to get to know each other and develop a real connection. Now the question is whether they have an actual relationship or whether Rey writes a paper about Miles and thus betraying their trust and connection.
I really enjoyed this book, as I did with the previous books in the series. I am looking forward to reading more about the offspring of all the couples and also getting glimpses into their current lives. The Chamberlain family is hilarious so you just know the kids are going to inherit those genes.
I recieved this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review
What a different kinda meeting just before modelling class. Psychology student Rey is doing her lighter class of clay modelling & this day just before their live male model, she bumps into an unexpected stranger Miles in the Ladies loos.
Then he comes into the class.
And here we see how their connection goes forward..
We see why they both went forward in starting seeing each other, though Miles KEPT calling the little dates they were having were ‘Predates’ date. Which I found quite amusing especially as Rey didn’t go out & date anyone, well that was until she thought she could write an essay on him…
And Miles who doesn’t go out with anyone longer than a couple of weeks max & he had to prove he can keep to something long term…
Great loving read & storyline
Miles is Bruce and Natasha’s son from His Banana. Miles seems to take after his father yet he can’t seem to make the perfection like his father. Rey wants to be a psychologist and is needing to write a paper on someone so she can get an internship. This person needs to be abnormal and when she meets Miles, she knows she can write about him. Especially since the way they met (read the book – it is hilarious). These two have differing viewpoints but their chemistry together is great. At times Miles got on my nerves and reminded me more of his Uncle William (from Her Cherry book) with his lack of impulse control. But he has a great if not strange sense of humor.

If you have read the Objects of Affection Series, you will recognize characters in this book. Miles is the son of Bruce and Natasha from His Banana. I loved his character. He’s funny and different. He’s also gorgeous. Rey is a bit of a nerd. She’s focused on her education and doesn’t have time for guys. A surprise meeting in a women’s restroom leads Miles to giving Rey his banana (the fruit, of course).
I really enjoyed watching the slow fall to love with Miles and Rey. Grammy was hilarious and Miles’ mottos were funny. A fun rom com.
You would think the sex jokes would get old after several books, but they just don’t! This book was just as funny as the ones before it. Miles and Grammy definitely rival William in the inappropriate sex convos and humor. Miles was like a hybrid mix of Bruce and William and he kept me laughing through the whole book. This book is definitely worth adding to your list!
“After His Banana” is a quirky look at young love that was difficult to put down. Miles was sexy, confident and funny and Rey was usually all about taking life seriously especially when it came to taking care of her genius little sister. Miles and Rey are perfect for each other even if in the beginning their motives for being together weren’t exactly pure. In the end what mattered was love. Do they genuinely like/love each other enough to look past what they each consider a mistake or do they walk away all together? This story was full of so many thought provoking questions and scenarios that it actually took me by surprise. “After His Banana” is truly a diamond in the rough to say the least and I for one feel privileged to be able to read and experience it.

This book was really funny. I really liked Miles. He was open for a hook up, but didn’t do relationships. He wa persistant and I liked that about him.
I didn’t like it, thqt he didn’t follow his dreams and his passion. Thank god he got to his senses.
Rey is focused on her school and her family. I like that about her. She wants Miles to be a subject for her studies, but then she changed her mind. Which I was really happy about it.
I loved the book.
Wonderfully fantastic… The book was amazing… It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it… The characters and their personalities match them perfectly… The plot and the storyline was very descriptive and amazing…

This book is kinda like an extended epilogue from the His Banana book, though you don’t actually need to have read that book to follow, as it is it’s own story. It takes place about 20 years after His Banana and features that books staring couples son. We do get to see our favorite characters again, though they are just glimpses. Anywho, Miles is an offbeat character. Quite unique. He’s funny and charming. He has a ‘don’t give a damn’ vibe, but at the same time, he does care what people think… at least people he cares about. Rey is smart and nerdy and everything she does, she does for her sister. After a wacky meet cute, he weasels his way into her life. Both are using the other for their own gain, and if that truth comes out it could mean the end of whatever relationship they have. There is lots of humor. Despite their secrets, this is a light-hearted and a general feel good read. It reads quickly and easily. It’s a little on the short side for a novel, but longer than a novella. It alternates between POVs. There is the bare minimal amount of sexual content, but there is sexual innuendo throughout.
An absolutely entertaining read! It is enjoyable, steamy, passionate, fast pace, witty, funny, consistent, and well-developed. The characters are amazing and just perfect for each other. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is off the charts. Definitely recommended!

Rey is a broke college student. Miles comes from money but can not please his father. Both need each other for different reasons. Both have guilt about using the other. This book kept me laughing so hard and falling for each of the characters. This also had the best supporting characters that you just have to love. This book is hilariously hottttt.
Crazy perfect – hilarious and funny!
As great as the previous books in the series. What else could I expect of the son, nephew, grand grandson that came out of the crazy family that we met in His Banana and His Cherry? It was crazy perfect, it was funny, it was heartwarming and momentarily very hilarious. Dealing with the father who has OCD and cannot lost control is not easy but also to deal with own insecurities and finally try to achieve own goals is not easy. I very much enjoyed this book and recommend it to all who already read previous parts but also for those who wants to have a breather from other heavy stuff going on in their lives. It is perfect brake from the reality and can really boost the mood.
Great Fun!
Love Penelope Bloom!
This was such a delightfully fun read. Loved Miles’ quirkiness a quick whit. Rey (loved the name!) was adorable, smart and funny. It was great to have the Chamberson family included, espically Grammy! Hope to get more stories of the off springs!
