Big, hot Sapphire Falls cop Scott Hansen, the source of Peyton Wells’ dirtiest daydreams, has only one fault in her opinion…he’s crazy about her. She’ll do absolutely anything Scott asks if he obeys three simple rules: they’re both naked; there are lots of hands and lips involved; and they absolutely do not call it a relationship. The R word gives her hives. Why can’t the guy just be happy with … be happy with no-strings sex?
But, when Scott’s injured on the job, Peyton can’t stand the idea of anyone but her playing nurse—and Scott sees the perfect opportunity to show her that a relationship with him can be the best time she’s ever had.
Of course, things with Peyton are never easy. After all, he doesn’t call her Trouble for nothing…

*Note, I feel like this story is probably best appreciated if you’ve read the two prequels, After Party and After This beforehand as they give more insight into Scott and Peyton’s relationship.
I loved this book!! Peyton was awesome and Scott was pretty perfect and I love that they basically reversed roles as far as their relationship expectations. He wanted to do right by her by showing her that she meant more to him than just a roll in the hay. She wanted him strictly for her physical needs because she can’t find it in herself to need anyone for more than that.
I read Erin Nicholas all of the time so I’m not sure why I was so surprised by the level of steam in this book. I was so flustered that I kept checking to make sure nobody was watching me read. But it was also a very sweet story full of emotion and just the right amount of angst. I’m really looking forward to reading the rest of these books.
As I began this book I felt the premise to be a bit farfetched and predictible, however – giving this a few more chapters the author gives you a surprise (no spoilers) and I was hooked. Witty writing, fun characters , lighthearted plot and scenes so hot they’d catch a Nebraska corn field on fire!
The characters are so lovable and the story line is wonderful. Love Erin’s writing style too! Very engaging!
Enjoyable
This was a wonderful book about you can find love without fear of being like your mom. I enjoyed this.
Excellent book with realistic characters. Life gives us so many situational obstacles that effect our decisions. Trying to work through a way to find happiness can be challenging growing up in an unstable family. Peyton does her best to figure life out. Eventually she sees true love right before her eyes. A commitment she is ready for!
Enjoy her path of life. Written well!
Peyton is the one who is there for everyone. Her parents were too involved with themselves to be there for her and she doesn’t want to be like them. But when she’s in trouble she always calls Scott. Scott is a police officer and works with an agency sometimes to take down human trafficking. He has wanted Peyton for years but he wants a relationship not just sex.
Peyton goes with her friend to Baltimore for a wedding when she gets a call that Scott has been shot. She rushes back home to him and somehow gets roped into taking care of him while he recovers. She’s going to try and seduce him and he’s going to show her commitment isn’t so bad.
Funny, sexy, and romantic. I cracked up. I loved Peyton and Scott. She can get into some real jams but finally realizes Scott will always be there for her.
I love coming to visit Sapphire Falls! Riley and Derek’s story is a not really enemies to lovers but close enough slash best friends little sister. Derek was around when Riley was born and Riley always though of Derek as an annoying older brother. That is until Riley overhears some women talking about a Sex God and then realizes they are talking about Derek. I love the chemistry between these two. Between the sparks of chemistry and the witty banter between the two it’s amazing read.
Would have enjoyed it without the vulgarity but still a good read
I really enjoyed the character development and have downloaded the entire series. Easy to get invested in the town of Sapphire Falls.
Consistently good reads with a well written story, interesting characters and story plots that draw me in.
Absolutely hilarious.
A good HEA story. The characters were likeable, especially Scott. I enjoyed the writing style but the story was a little drawn out. I’m a bedtime reader and it kept putting me to sleep. Took me longer to finish than usual.
If you like non-stop steamy, you’ll love this book. I didn’t finish it.
Erin Nichols does not disappoint
Kept my interest
OMG! I am a big pile of goo right now. Peyton and Scott have totally melted my heart. I absolutely loved every minute of this story. So many wonderfully good feelings coursing through me at this moment. Erin Nicholas has outdone herself with After All. I had a smile on my face throughout the reading of this amazing book. It was fun. It was cute. It was hot. It had feeling and so much heart. If I could I would give Scott and Peyton a great big hug and never let them go. But I guess I’ll just have to settle for hugging my kindle and giving a great big heart filled sigh. This story is just that good, people. I hope everyone gets a chance to read it. I am so in love with Sapphire Falls and everyone in it.
One of the most romantic and entertaining books I’ve read in a long time. Loved, loved, loved the snappy, teasing dialog between the characters. I was very sad when I finished it.
Good read with a cup of coffee on a rainy day!
Cute story!
Too much sex and too little story.
