What’s a girl to do after being ditched at the altar by text message? That’s right. Text. Message. How does she pick up the pieces and move on? I’m no Dear Abby but here’s a little free advice… anything out into the hallway because you’ll injure your hot new neighbor.
Advice #3 – When said neighbor brings over Chinese Food do not let him stay and keep you company. It’s awkward when you realize he’s your boss.
Advice #4 – Accept his offer to help you with your side business but think twice before using a date to his sister’s wedding as collateral.
Advice #5 – Investigate who your mystery neighbor really is. Don’t trust his word even if he’s the world’s best kisser.
If you listen to nothing else, pay attention to that last one. It’s the most important and will save you a lot of heartache.

LOVESICK IN LAKE STARLIGHT

New release from Piper Rayne!
Piper Rayne you have outdone yourselves with the Bailey clan. I absolutely am head over heels in love with this family…. their shenanigans, their love for each other and their witty banter with so many laugh out loud moments! Wyatt and Brooklyn’s story was a slow burn romance that had me seduced with their chemistry and enamored with these two page after page that I couldn’t put it down. This series is unequivocally my favorite of this amazing duo, which says so much considering I love everything they write!
Im not sure where to start to do this book the justice it deserves!
Im absolutely gobsmacked at the wonderful bond of the Bailey family! Seriously that stuff needs to be bottled or something! I would love to be a part of that incredibly caring brother/sisterhood!
This story was such an amazing read that I couldn’t put it down and could read about them forever!
I felt incredibly sad for Brooke being left at the altar. I also thought her family was such a great support network for her! But when the new hot neighbor moves in well needless to say things get incredibly interesting and intense at times!
I loved Wyatt!! Such a down to earth, caring man, he’s right up there as a top book boyfriend! However things are definitely not what they seem and when the truth comes out, Brooke isn’t happy at all! I loved the direction the storyline went and could read so much more about the Baileys and the Alaskan town! Makes me want to head there myself!! Lol!
Definitely a must 1-click book!
5.0 Star Review Advice From A Jilted Bride (The Baileys #2) by Piper Rayne
I absolutely fell hard and fast for Brooklyn and Wyatt and the entire Bailey clan; what a fabulous family they are.
I really love small town romances and found myself wishing that I could be a part of the Lake Starlight , Alaska community. However it can also make it harder to live in, as in Brooklyn’s case the whole town is aware that she has been left at the altar by her jerk of an ex-fiancee.
When Wyatt moves in to the apartment next door to where Brooklyn is living , despite themselves they become closer. I admire Brooklyn with her strength and determination to pick herself up, hold her head up and get on with her life.
Things become complicated as she and Wyatt get closer, particularly when she discovers he is her boss. The chemistry between Brooklyn and Wyatt is intense and cannot be ignored.
Can a woman form a small town and a man from the big city merge their lives together or are they destined to be pulled apart by circumstances and family duty?
I loved this book from start to finish and highly recommend you one click.
The second book of The Baileys series, and this series is just getting better. In Austin and Holly’s story, we got a bit of info on Brooklyn and her fiancé, Jeff. Well, obviously this is not a spoiler… Jeff leaves Brooklyn through text five minutes before she was to walk down the aisle. The Baileys do just what families (good ones) do, rally around Brooklyn and help her deal with the fallout. It’s while she is dealing with the fallout that she ends up meeting her new neighbor, Wyatt. Wyatt is in town on business, a deal that if everything is done right will get him his very on chain of hotels. Somehow he got stuck with a hot but a bit of a mess neighbor. Knowing that she is getting over her break up, and that he isn’t staying in town long, means they can only be friends. But the longer Wyatt and Brooklyn are just friends, the harder it gets to deny the urge for something more, will they cross that line knowing the risks?
I loved this story, I have no clue how the authors write such amazing stories that pull you in, but they have a gift for story telling! This book has all the feels, and hooks you in until the very last page. Wyatt and Brooklyn’s story was fabulous and I don’t want to leave this world yet. I can’t wait for the next in this series, I give this 5 stars.
This is the second book in The Baileys series. It follows nine siblings in Lake Starlight Alaska. This is a stand alone, as it is Brooklyn’s story. But all the siblings are in each book.
We do get some more added to Austin and Holly’s story in this book as well, and the set up for the next book, which I can’t wait for. Is it Rome or Denver?
Brooklyn is the third oldest, after Austin and Savannah. Some of her younger siblings do treat her as she is younger than they are though.
She’s the Bailey that cares about others, not that they all don’t, but she wears her heart on her sleeve.
She’s been left at the alter though. He told her he was done by text message. What a jerk!
I really thought her brothers and Liam, would do more than they did to Jeff.
Wyatt is in town to help with the hotel his father’s company bought.
He’s anti relationship right now though. He just doesn’t want one yet.
Who would have thought being hit by a book, in the head, would change everything for him though.
These characters are great and so very easy to love.
I do wish Wyatt would have punched his dad in the face though. He’s such an asshole!
I absolutely love the Baileys and Buzz Wheel!
Who is writing Buzz Wheel? My guess is Grandma Dori.

Nailed it! The Piper Rayne duo gets a big thumbs up on Advice from a Jilted Bride!
Brooklyn Bailey is a catch, everyone thinks so; expect for the douchecanoe who just left her at the altar, through a freaking text message! Sure she dodged a bullet in my opinion but now she’s left licking her wounds, in plain sight of the Gossip Girl style blog, the BuzzWheel. So when the sexy neighbor next door steps into firing range, all bets are off and her panties are staying ON!
When Wyatt’s jasckassity father sends him Undercover Boss style to Lake Starlight to check out his new hotel investment, Wyatt wasn’t planning on any complications but that’s just what the hottie with the body, and the bucket of tears, next door is…a major complication. Instantly drawn to her, despite his better judgement, he can’t stay away from the beautiful Brooklyn.
The Bailey’s are in usual fine form with the banter and sarcasm but adding Wyatt to the mix was a stellar idea! He fits in from word one and couldn’t be more perfect for our little Brookie! Loved every minute of it and can’t wait for the next installment!!

Anyone who follows my blog will be aware that I’m drawn to series’ that features titles that are interconnected, which is one of the things I love about Piper Rayne’s books. With each book we not only meet new characters, but revisit previous favourites as well.
Advice From A Jilted Bride, features Brooklyn and Wyatt, it’s the second book in The Bailey series, set in Lake Starlight Alaska. It’s a sweet and charming, slow burn, friends to lovers romance, that will leave you with a smile upon your face.
Once again Piper Rayne have crafted a story full of heat, heart and banter that is witty, yet heartfelt and humorous. Although the chemistry between Brooklyn and Wyatt is undeniable, their friendships is also realistic and warms your heart.
I love the interactions between the Bailey siblings, and the Lake Starlight community, and cannot wait to discover more of their stories and see what is featured on the Buzz Wheel next.
What an amazing story! Piper Rayne really outdid herself with this book! It flowed perfectly and was well written. There were so many feels in this one; I laughed, cried and wanted to throw my kindle a few times.
My heart broke with everything that Brooklyn went through. To be ditched at the altar and have to pick up those pieces…I loved her personality, she was so sweet and outgoing and would go out of her way to help someone. Then there was Wyatt; the dreamy hot boss. He was set in his ways and knew what he wanted and always got it.
Advice From a Jilted Bride is the second book in the Baileys series and my favorite so far. I have read both books and have fallen in love with the Baileys. I can’t wait to get my hands on Birth Of A Baby Daddy.
Piper Rayne has done it yet again! I have fallen head over heels with the story as well as the characters!!!! My only regret was telling them good-bye!
This fabulous writing duo knows how to start every book I have read by them with a bang! This one is no different! Brooklyn has just been left at the altar by a text message!!!! All the dreams she imagined are now blown to smithereens. She is in the midst of throwing “said ex-fiance’s” things away when she literally hits her new neighbor, Wyatt, in the head with a book. He’s pretty sexy, but Brooklyn has sworn off all men….too bad! Wyatt isn’t into relationships, so he has no interest in developing anything with her, unless it’s short-term. But, he knows she isn’t a short-term kind of woman. As these two spend more time together, those boundaries begin to blur!
The chemistry between Brooklyn and Wyatt is electric, even from the beginning, when they decided their relationship would be platonic. As usual, the writers don’t rush the relationship or the physical part of it. It is a slow burn that continues to build. Underneath all that is a beautiful friendship between them. They really enjoy each other’s company, and they both are such a support to one another. Brooklyn helps Wyatt find his place within his family, and he does the same for her. What the writers give us is a sweet yet steamy romance that just warmed my heart with some little twists included!
Advice From a Jilted Bride is a fantastic read that isn’t just about love between a couple, but a love between a family! It was a great way to spend my day! I’m looking forward to reading more in the series!
A small town bride is dumped five minutes before her wedding starts and at the time she’s wreaking havoc on her would-be-groom’s belongings, a new man is moving in right across the hall. That’s the beginning of the story…
Brooklyn Bailey and Wyatt Whitmore are the main characters of this book and they will not disappoint.
Our heroine is the Bailey sister most likely to get hurt and having just being dumped in the cruelest, most public way, her siblings are on the lookout for any douchebag sniffing around her i.e. her new out of town neighbor. Wyatt is a big city man, not actually excited with his move, but doing what he has to get what he wants. The last thing in his plans is finding a woman to care for.
Advice from a Jilted Bride is the second book about the Baileys from Alaska, and in my opinion, a departure from the authors’ lighter style giving us a more serious story with a slow burn love. The Bailey series has not only brought a new world to the Piper Rayne fandom, but a slightly different writing which I’m enjoying very much. The family and other secondary characters still provide elements the long-time readers are used to but they seemed more subdued in this story. Nonetheless and in good Piper Rayne fashion, this book only makes the reader crave more about the beloved family that’s come to stay.
Brooklyn and Wyatt’s story is a do not miss!
First of all I just want to say how much I love this family. The Bailey’s are a tight unit that look at for each other but give each other the best form of honesty.
Brooklyn has been left at the alter, literally. Her fiancee has given her no clue that his cold feet were colder than an Alaskan winter. She has to pickup and figure out what to do now. Her sisters are there to help and to make sure she’s not hurting anyone by throwing things out of the apartment. They do a pretty poor job. Wyatt is moving in across the hall when he feels the wrath of Brooklyn.
I fell in love with these two. Wyatt has to prove his ability to his father while still being his own man. Brooklyn is finding her way through what she thinks she should be feeling. The connection between them is immediate. But how can Brooklyn move on to someone new that fast. Wyatt doesn’t want a relationship either. He knows he has an end game. The thing between them is a surprise for both of them.
We are back in Lake Starlight in Piper Rayne’s Advice from a Jilted Bride! I loved the first book and I love this one even better. Let’s make a checklist!
An adorable, sassy, strong and compassionate heroine. And she is a Bailey.
A hot ,handsome, alpha millionaire guy to make you swoon and sigh and blush.
The epic and unique writing of Piper Rayne full of humor, emotion and warmth.
Small town, friends-to-lovers, slow burn romance with lots and lots of family love!
Do you need any more reasons to pick this book?
Brooklyn Bailey is left at alter by her cowardly good-for-nothing fiance Jeff. I have few choice words for the pathetic moves this guy keeps on making but none of them are suitable for a review. And she meets Wyatt Moore while she hit his head by accident with a book. Wyatt is in town all the way from New York to assess the resort’s financial state where Brooklyn works as housekeeper. He is the owner’s son but he keeps it secret for a long time. They meet under unusual circumstance. She has sworn off men. Wyatt has sworn off relationships. They belong to two entirely different worlds. So it should be easy to be just friends. Right? So why does it feels like the hardest thing to do and trying desperately not to ruin everything? Well you have to read it!
Of course I love Brooklyn. She is a Bailey from inside out. She is helpful, caring , compassionate and thoughtful. She is always thinking about others and sometimes neglect her own happiness! I was so happy that she found her strength to go for what she needs. And the reason is Wyatt. This guy is simply awesome! It may appear he has a cushioned and entitled life but he has a vulnerable broken side due to his complicated family dynamics and his intolerable father. He mixed and matched with the colourful Lake Starlight life with ease! And of course you get to meet your favourite Bailey siblings and the whole loving beautiful Lake Starlight people!
Piper Rayne has written another enchanting captivating and heartwarming story in Advice from a Jilted Bride! The story has the sweetest dreamiest romance. The story has enough tension and drama to just spice it up for you! The chemistry between Brooklyn and Wyatt builds up slowly in a delicious torturing pace to become a blazing inferno. I laughed like crazy with all the flirty funny conversation. My heart broke for the couple when they had to go through all the hellish struggles. And I want to live in Lake Starlight. These people has planted their roots so deep in my heart and I just can’t see them as fiction. And that should tell you what a great story this is!
Received ARC for Honest Review
Piper Rayne knows how to combine the sweet, the sexy and the funny into a perfectly written story that you love from the first page to the last!
Advice from a Jilted Bride brings us back to Alaska and back into the lives of the Bailey family as the second book in the series.
Brooklyn has had her heart broken when she was left at the alter and her family has rallied around her, but the best thing to mend her broken heart is the hot, hunky neighbor who just moved in across the hall.
I just loved Wyatt! Even without knowing Brooklyn he stepped up and helped her when she needed someone. Something he never would have done for a neighbor in New York. Between Brooklyn’s sweetness and the support of this crazy small town, he couldn’t help but be drawn to it all. However he is hiding a secret and when he lets it out he will find out if he will still be accepted by Brooklyn and this town.
I love this town and the whole Bailey clan and can’t wait to see what crazy situations are in store for the rest of them.
There is so much to love in this story. All of the Bailey’s provide so much entertainment, but the lengths they will go to for one another is heartwarming.
As the Bailey’s rally around Brooklyn who was left at the altar, that one moment in time sent her on her fated trajectory, right into Wyatt’s lap. This is a slow burn, friends to lovers story, not for any lack of help from the siblings. Brooklyn is sassy and taking a chance to build a business. Fro Wyatt, he started out wanting his dad’s respect, but found love and self-worth instead. I totally enjoyed this story. I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in the series.
This book was so great! Some guys wouldn’t know love if it hit them in the head…quite literally. Wyatt learns the hard way when he moves into the apartment across from Brooklyn Bailey. I swear each book by Piper Rayne keeps getting better and better. The story was woven so well that you were very invested in the characters. If you read the first book in this series, Lessons from a One-Night Stand, you will definitely want to check out the website mentioned in Advice from a Jilted Bride! This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
Are you looking for a great family saga to spend your weekend reading? Then make sure you one click Piper & Rayne’s new release Advice from a Jilted Bride featuring the Bailey family.
Set in the small town of Glacier Park, Alaska Piper & Rayne brings you a new huge, family to love with the Bailey’s. Raised by her two oldest siblings and a fun loving grandma, Brooklyn Bailey was devastated when she was ditched at the altar via text message. One jilted bride determined to rid her apartment of all the stupid SCI-FI novels left behind, accidentally nails her neighbor Wyatt. Who knew a friendship could form after?
The family that Piper and Rayne develop will suck you right into the story. They are fun, caring, loving, and almost a little too nosy. It’s easy to fall in love with Brooklyn and Wyatt’s romance as they tiptoe around the crazy family and small town life. The characters created are all exceptionally wonderful. Although this is book two of the series, you don’t have to read the first book to follow along. However it’s hard to resist the Baileys!
Advice from a Jilted Bride is one slow burn romance that you just can’t get enough of! I can’t wait to read more from Piper & Rayne.
Is there a happily ever after in the cards for a heartbroken, cynical, jilted bride? It’s always a joy to read a Piper Rayne original. With humor, heart and that sassy wit, we all know and love, this duo is able to heat up bookshelves and e-readers everywhere. Advice From a Jilted Bride could be described as the anti – romance, except that wouldn’t be the Piper Rayne way. Brooklyn and Wyatt remind us that cynicism is only a happy ending away. Love is always sweeter the second time around.
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
Piper Rayne just continues to get better and better. Every time they put out a series, they out do themselves with the next one. I loved the first book in The Bailey’s series and book number two was no different! I’m thrilled we get to stay in Lake Starlight for the foreseeable future!
The day that should have been the happiest day of her life has ended in heartbreak via text message of all things. Brooklyn Bailey’s fiance sent the fateful breakup text just minutes before she was due to walk down the aisle. She’s understandably hurt, but with the help of her family and the uber hot new neighbor she has, Wyatt, there is no doubt she’ll heal in time.
Wyatt has moved to Lake Starlight, and into the apartment across the hall from Brooklyn, but he’s only staying in town temporarily. He’s come to do some reconnaissance at the local hotel for his father, who has recently purchased it. The plan is for him to do his work, file his report and get himself back to New York.
Brooklyn and Wyatt start out as friends, but it’s apparent very quickly that they are both fighting attraction to the other. Wyatt wants to get her into bed, but he knows that she’s coming off a terrible heartbreak, plus he knows that he’s not the kind to get into a relationship, and Brooklyn is definitely a relationship girl. The forever kind of girl. Question is, is he willing to change his ways for her?
The chemistry between these two is off the charts. I loved that they were friends first and had that foundation so when they finally gave in, it was that much more explosive. Plus, add in the Bailey siblings and their awesome relationships and interactions and you have one fantastic book. I absolutely love this series and I simply can’t wait for book three after what they left us with at the end of this one!
