A friends-to-lovers new adult MM romance from USA Today bestseller Siobhan Davis. Stand-alone with HEA and no cliff-hanger. Keaton Moving to California was supposed to be my fresh start. A clean slate. An opportunity to drop the façade, escape the lies, find a focus, and just be myself. But I should have realized it wouldn’t be easy, especially when my last name is Kennedy.I’m not ready to be a … when my last name is Kennedy.
I’m not ready to be a gay icon or some celebrity role model. I still haven’t admitted the truth to my family or the girl I professed to love, so there’s no way I want the public to know I’m into dudes.
Falling for my hot, straight, football-player roomie wasn’t part of the game plan.
Neither was backing myself into a corner because I trusted the wrong guy.
Now everything is on the line, and it’s time to stop pretending.
Austen
From the time I was a little kid, all I wanted is to play football in college and play in the NFL. As wide receiver for the Golden Bears, I am on track to achieve my goals, but it comes at a heavy price.
Denying who I am—for the sake of my career—goes against everything I believe.
I should never have listened to my high school coach, because all the lies are suffocating me.
Until Keaton Kennedy enters my life, turning it upside down.
Now, there is even more reason to tell the truth, because I’m falling for the famous one and I want the entire world to know.
This heartwarming, emotional romance has a dash of angst and drama, a sprinkling of humor, and cameos from some of your favorite characters from the series. It is a 100k-word full-length novel, and the second to last book in the Kennedy Boys series. This can be read as a stand-alone novel as it focuses on a new couple; however, it is recommended you start at the beginning of the series for maximum reading enjoyment.

I’ve just recently begun reading MM romances, but I can say with absolute certainty that this will always be my favorite book in this subgenre. I have read the entire Kennedy series, and every snippet we got of Keaton made me want even more of him, and goodness I fell in love with every part of his beautiful, damaged soul. And Austen? That sexy teddy bear OWNED me. These two are beyond perfect for each other; their chemistry, the beautiful friendship & connection they share, the intense sexual attraction, it was all on point. But what really made this book so special for me was his emotional it was. Keats and Austen navigated every obstacle that was thrown at them; Keats not ready to come out to his family & friends, Austen navigating the pros and cons of being one of the few out gay men in the NFL, plus maintaining the extraordinary love these two have for one another.. my god it’s just everything you could hope for in a romance!!
I have always loved Keats, especially how he is with the women in his life. He has such a beautiful relationship with his mother and Faye, and he is always willing to sacrifice himself for the ones he loves, but with Austen’s love he flourishes into the man he’s always wanted to be. He’s in so much pain, and has so much guilt for all the lies he’s told and the hurt he’s caused because of his sexuality, but he knows he needs to be true to himself. He’s so adorably awkward too, which was completely endearing!! He’s so different from the rest of his siblings, but he’s hands down my favorite!!!
Austen is just beyond beautiful in every single way. He sees Keats soul right away, see how beautiful he is and he immediately feels drawn to him, but he also recognizes the pain he’s hiding. The way he lifts Keats up in every way — how he builds his confidence, and makes him embrace who he really is, brought tears to my eyes on numerous occasions. Austen loved Keaton in the purest of ways, in a way that completely rivals anything else. The way he loves him, and the way Keats loves him back is just so fucking beautiful.
And those sex scenes?! HOLY HOT PANTIES ALERT. Their chemistry was so intense even with the most innocent of touches, but when they got down and dirty, they got DOWN AND DIRTY.
The only thing that made me so ridiculously angry was Kent. By God I wanted to dick punch that man with all my strength. The absolutely horrid things he said to Keats.. how he treated his own brother, his TRIPLET, made me so fucking angry. I have theories as to what pain he’s hiding, what trauma he’s gone through to make him the way he is, but good gravy am I so furious with him. I know Siobhan will redeem him, but I just can’t think about him without shaking with anger. Nothing makes me angrier than a homophobe, and I NEED him to make it right with my baby Keats.
One thing I truly adore about this authors work is how *real* her characters are to me. That’s what makes a truly amazing writer; not only connecting with the characters, but feeling all of their triumphs, all of their pain and love like they are your closest friends. I just can’t get enough of this lady’s words
If you read any MM romance this year, read this one! You will not regret it!!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
This book gets alllllllllllllllllll the stars!!! It’s easily one of my favorite books from Siobhan Davis. It’s easily one of my favorite books ever!!!
Keaton is struggling. But then Austen enters his life and he starts questioning everything. Austen has his life together, for the most part. Their journey from friends to lovers is beautiful, despite all the ups and downs. It’s because of all those bumps in the road that Keaton can grow and learn who he is, who he wants to be.
I loved the relationship between Keaton and Austen. They are the true definition of perfect for each other. This book is full of hope and heartache and love and fear and longing and happiness. And I can’t forget the heat… *fans self*
If you are iffy on whether you’ll like a MM book, I implore you to give it a shot. You might be surprised! Because this book has it all! An absolute must read.
There are three authors that I trust explicitly with my reading experience with unconventional (to me) genres, and Siobhan leads the pack. Her stories are always about the journey of the relationships that develop through her books.
Throughout the whole Kennedy series we have seen Keaton struggle. I have always questioned is he or isn’t he. The one thing about all of this was just how natural everything is that developed between Austen and Keaton. At the end of the day they found the person they couldn’t love without, and this is a story that needed telling. These two face trials that very few ever do, and they do it with grace.
Even if MM isn’t your thing read this book. It is not about the fact that they are both male it is the love story that needs to read!
What an emotionally beautiful story! From start to finish Siobhan pulled me into this story one I wasn’t to sure I would like because I have never read a MM story before. I have read plenty of RH stories so I knew I wouldn’t hate it but I never expected to fall in love with Keaton and Austen story the way I did. You can feel every emotion these men go through and can help but continue reading until the very end. It was written so perfectly and I couldn’t of asked for a better ending. I can’t wait for more stories from this amazing author.
First of all let me just say Siobhan did again with another amazing story! I absolutely love all of the Kennedy boys and couldn’t wait for Keaton’s story! Its not necessary to read previous books in this series but if you do, you will notice he is hiding something. I had a feeling he maybe hiding that he was gay but wasn’t sure his story would go there ( lots of twist and turns in this series so you never know what will happen)This is my first MM romance so I was a little unsure how I would feel about but of course Siobhan blew me away yet again. I wouldn’t miss a chance to read any of books she has wrote, they all have hit me with so many emotions and all the feels!
In true Kennedy fashion nothing comes easy without drama, plenty of angst and lots of passion and heat!! But for Keaton coming out as gay especially being a celebrity as a Kennedy icon has to be difficult and lots of pressure. As with Austen being football star and future Nfl player coming out is extremely hard for him as well. She did a great job expressing the difficulties and struggles they both face and also how strong they both are! It was a astonishing read and has you cheering them on.
This is definitely a must read rather you are into MM or not (you will be after this) absolutely outstanding read and so happy for Keaton to get his HEA! I can’t wait for Kent’s story and see his chance at redemption and where he ends up! Will seriously be so sad for this serious to end!
WOW OH WOW.
So Siobhan Davis is one of my favourite authors, I’d literally read her shopping lists. I’ve never been interested in M/M but because it’s her and I’ve loved Keaton since the beginning… well I had to try it!
Words do not describe how much I loved this book! It was steamy… I don’t even think steamy covers it!
Keaton’s and Austen’s story is completely heart wrenching and had me crying at some points but was so full of real life issues and it was amazing how their story was told. I felt every emotion possible reading this book and felt so much for the guys. Keaton’s and Austen’s love, it’s a love we all aspire to have and to receive, full of friendship, loyalty, humour, devotion, passion and a connection that vibrates through your soul. Simply just a love that’s life changing and endless.
I didn’t expect to this love this as much as I did, but this is definitely one of the best books I’ve read in a while. Siobhan Davis is an exceptional writer and Adoring Keaton to me, is one of her best pieces.
Siobhan done rocked my world………again.
Ok, there was angsty angst in this book. But what was so cool (btw I haven’t read the read of this series yet. I know I know. Glare at me. Yell at me.) is Siobhan can write some wicked dark and disturbing stuff. But this book showed she is much more than that. Like yes. Llama drama. All the feels. But sans Rydeville drama.
Also, you totally don’t need the other books to enjoy this book. Am I missing a lot of back story and the why things are, yes. I’m a 100% certain that when I read the other books- cause I will- it will make this book so much better.
Keaton. I adore you. Like I just want to wrap you up and hug you.
Austen. You are just about perfect.
These two. They broke me, they made me laugh, they made me cry, and they made me smile. Their journey isn’t easy. They are easy. They work so well. They are each other safety net. It’s everything else that pushes on them.
Siobhan masterfully provides us with a look into how the outside world, the cruel people around you, can truly have detrimental impacts on our lives. But she also provides us with love and how that changes everything.
I can count on two hands the MM books I have read. And I can tell you. This one blew me away.
Not since reading Finding Kyler have I had a strong liking for a Kennedy boy, this is until I read Adoring Keaton.
Since the beginning you get a strong understanding that he was hiding a secret from his family as he never wanted to be seen as different.
Between wanting to hug him and never let him go to trying to tell him that he should embrace who he is and not be ashamed, you feel the love Keaton has for Austen and Austen has for Keaton before they are even able to say the words themselves.
It wouldn’t be a Kennedy book without heart stopping moments and Keaton was not one to disappoint in this department.
The family strength, love and support travels through to this book and it may be #9 in the series, but nothing about this family gets old.
Kyler would always be my favourite Kennedy boy but he was almost pushed aside for Keaton and Austen.
Siobhan, no matter how many books you write, the Kennedy boys will always be my favourite and I would be forever great full for bringing them in to my life.
A million and 1 stars
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
Another addicting Kennedy Boys novel! It was great to read Keaton’s story – some seeds that were planted in earlier novels have now been harvested and it was wonderful to understand who he is. Austen is a sweet, strong counterpart for him and made the story play out in an incredibly satisfying way.
Ms. Davis’s writing is as brilliant as ever and kept me up way too late on more than one evening. I was so hooked into the story that I didn’t want to wait to see what was going to happen!
Now, I just want to see what’s up with Kent! I’m looking forward to finding out why he reacted the way he did to Keaton coming out, as well as seeing who he is and who he ends up with. My only regret is that we are getting really close to the end of the series and I think Kent’s story will be the last.
I’m not going to lie, MM is not a trope that I read often, but Miss Davis blew me away with this story, it was incredible.
Siobhan wrote a beautiful story, one that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Her primary and secondary characters have such depth to them, that you are emotionally invested in their lives. That the emotional, happy or chemistry filled scenes make it so that you are unable to put the book down. Definitely fell in love with these two!
This was my first MM Romance and i absolutely love their story!!!
Since i read Kylers story i liked Keatons Character and was curious about his HEA….
Not only was Keatons character developement phenomenal, i am also totally in love with Austen! He is so caring and is the perfect boyfriend to help Keaton overcome his insecurities. The chemistry between them was perfect.
Now i am so excited for the last book in this universe and hoping for a HEA for the remaining Kennedy Boy Kent. I have a feeling that this book is going to blow our minds 🙂
I have voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book. I was looking forward to reading about the next Kennedy brother in the series especially because it was an MM story. I have yet to read a book Siobhan has written that I did not like and this was no exception. Reading all the emotion she put into this story, the push and pull between characters, the uncertainty of everything was amazing. Reading this story truly makes you feel all the struggles and pain the characters went through just to be accepted for who they are and sadly it’s a reality many people go through in real life. Beautifully written and I can’t wait for Kent’s story next!
Keaton & Austen are perfect for each other the care and love they have for each other made my heart ache! Their chemistry heats up the pages of this book I’m surprised they didn’t combust into flames while reading. Their love story is truly powerful & intense.
Ok so Keaton has always been one of my favorite Kennedy boys and he did not disappoint here! It was a struggle for him to come forward and really take what he wanted in life and I think it’s a struggle that is true to a lot of people in a lot of ways. This story really squeezed my heart and I’m so so happy Keaton finally gets his HEA he so deserves it. Seeing him be that person you always know he is by the end of the book is EVERYTHING. I can’t wait for Kent’s story, I know Siobhan will make everything right somehow!! Even if you are on the fence about M/M I promise you will identify somehow and someway with this book, give it a try!
Adoring Keaton is the 9th book in The Kennedy Boys series. This book could be read as a stand alone, however I would suggest reading all the other books before this book, because a lot of the characters are brought up in the previous books.
I have loved Keaton since the very first book. He was so sweet when Faye moved in. I was so excited to get his story. Keaton and Austin did not disappoint. There was love and heartache, and much more. Keaton was such a sensitive character and I loved it. This story was amazing, and I plan to read it over and over.
They had their ups and downs and there were people battling against them, but can they come out on top? I loved this story so much! I can not wait for Kent’s story! Sad to see this series almost done!
** I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book. With each of these Kennedy buys these books just get better and better… I absolutely adored Keaton and Austin <3 I loved the connection between Keaton and Austin.. The chemistry was off the charts and so beautiful. Keaton and Austin were put thru through so much in their relationship.. With Keaton's family being high profile and Austin being one of the Best Football players at Berkley coming out is a lot harder then it should have. But Austin is the most patient man.. wanting to take the relationship at Keatons pace.. not push till he was ready. But when tragedy strikes.. and secrets are spilled.. will Keaton and Austin be able to continue forward or will this be the end?
Every relationship has its ups and downs, Keats, and every relationship has outside pressures that threaten its very foundation. That’s when it’s time to batten down the hatches and fight.
What are you scared of exactly? he asks, leaning into my face, as his fingers wrap around my wrist.. Losing you again.. Because I barley survived it the first time. If we are doing this, I've to got know you're all in this time, Keaton.
Phenomenal job as always Siobhan.. I can not wait to read Kents book. I think he is going to get as good as he gets with Presley..
The first m/m romance book I have read. Being that the author is one of my absolute favourites I knew it was going to be good and she would write it in a way that I would enjoy. Yet again Siobhan didn’t disappoint. The Kennedy Boys is one of my all time favourite series and I am sad that it’s coming to an end. Love love love Keats!!
Adoring Keaton by Siobhan Davis is my first MM romance. I was very unsure and cautious about myself opening for this book. But the author proved to me, it is good to try and experience new things. Because in the end, we all hurt, care, and love in the same way.
The author took me for a wonderful and very emotional journey about acceptance, courage, and unconditional love. Adoring Keaton is also a story moving very important topics like strong prejudice, fear from being rejected and judged by your beloved ones or society. And the author did an exceptional job, giving me lessons worth remembering.
There is absolutely no dull moment in this story. I page-turned Adoring Keaton with flushed cheeks and a furiously beating heart. Because besides amazing heroes who stole my heart completely there is also a very captivating plot filled with many twists and turns. I had few suspicions (and was so sure of myself) to be rapidly put in a place. The author so well-played me. Also meeting heroes from previous stories gave me a strong push to reach for previous and future books.
Overall, Adoring Keaton is a story about being who you truly are and having someone who put your needs above anyone else, who accepts you and stands by your side when the time gets hard. Don’t be afraid and read Keaton and Austen’s story because their journey to happiness was something unforgettable, pure, and real.
Love those Kennedy boys
Y’all…… this book is the prime example of why I love m/m reads. The feels, all those glorious feelings that come along with a great read. Love, heartbreak we get them both.
Austen and Keaton are absolutely wonderful characters and together we get a fantastic story that will make you smile and yes, make you cry. One a college football player and the other from a famous family. We get the up and downs of their relationship and at times my heart broke for these two. I absolutely loved it and hope you give it a chance.
