Gratefully divorced and not looking. Well, okay, maybe just peeking.
Single parenthood to a two-year old toddler and a full-time job doesn’t leave me with any time to find Mr. Right. Not that he exists. But when a sexy male escort walks into my volunteer clinic for his annual checkup, I’m startled—okay, fine, tempted—into accepting his invitation.
Rowan Forrester’s model-gorgeous looks are the … model-gorgeous looks are the least of his attributes; he’s like no other man I’ve ever known. His single-minded attentiveness boosts my shaky confidence. I know better than to believe his interest is genuine, but his easy sincerity is irresistible. This fantasy can’t last—after all, he’s an escort—but I can’t turn away from someone who adores my daughter and makes me believe in love again.
But when the truth of his past finally catches up with him…with us…it crushes my fragile hope for a future together. And it’s entirely up to me if I’m going to allow it to destroy our love…

This is my first time reading something by this author. This was an entertaining and enjoyable read. The story was well-written and flowed nicely. The plot was interesting and had some plot twists and turns that made this an interesting and intriguing story. The characters were strong and well-developed and had great chemistry. The author did a nice job of bringing this story to life with her vivid descriptions and well-developed scenes. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more by this author.

Looking for a good romance to disappear into and sink into warm tingly this is the stop. Since I do know what it involves with single parenthood this was relatable also. Vera meets Rowen and has a misconception that goes on for a bit. The thing though about those that when they are left going things could go the wrong way for sure. Both have issues and trouble with coming clean but they will not be their own hurdle they will have help. This will show what is important though and what is worth it. Gives the emotions the work out a gym could not have done better.
A relationship started with a lie, maybe a joke but it went on too long. Could she forgive him? I love that this book wasn’t predictable at all, just when it seemed smooth sailor the author throws in another twist. Gotta love the toddler, she pretty much steals the show. Wonderful story and fun characters, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This book was heartwarming and predictably unpredictable. I enjoyed the banter and rightness between Vera and Rowan. They had such sweet moments that were “hallmark worthy”. But Allison, Vera’s feisty toddler, took the cake. I could just imagine her chubby legs, squealing demands, and mischief. I found myself smiling, chuckling, and cheering for Rowan and Vera. Vera’s ex-husband was a piece of work. Vera deserved better and Rowan was just the man to give her exactly what she never knew she was missing. The writing for this story is strong and believable. The characters were developed and easy to want to root for their HEA. The pacing is steady and flows well with the writing. I was drawn in from the beginning and found myself thinking about the book even when I had to put it down to take care of other things. The intimacy was a little more than sweet but not erotica. I don’t recall adult language, which is always a plus for me. I could definitely see myself reading it again and again.
This is a beautiful heartwarming tale of love lost and recovered! I laughed in places and cried…it truly touched my heart~ Vera is a doctor that had been married for 13 years and then divorced. They had a two-year-old daughter, Allison. Vera was covering for one of her associates at a free clinic when in walked a handsome man. He is an escort named Rowan. Rowan starts dating Vera, only to realize he is truly falling for her. She is him as well. She sees him at a Medical Awards Ceremony with a colleague and immediately starts in on him…but, she has made a huge mistake for assuming. They are back on track and ready to march down the aisle…only her ex, Darren threatens to sue for full custody of their daughter. Come to find out, Rowan has an arrest on his record for sexually assaulting a minor…now what? Will she lose the single most important person ever in her life next to Allison? How can this be true? Why did he not tell her? She has no recourse but to end things?! I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
A doctor and an escort? Vera is a newly divorced doctor with a two year old named Allison. She’s still smarting from her divorce, not understanding why the marriage fell apart. And then she meets Rowan who she thinks is a male escort. He’s gorgeous and compliments her and when she’s with him he seems to see only her, not the more beautiful women looking at him. He treats her like she is the most beautiful person in the world, comforts her when she needs it, and is great with her daughter. Her ex never treated her as if she was special. But she is falling in love with an escort. How can it go anywhere? And when she finds out his real job will it make her situation better or worse?
