Ella James has the On My Knees duet. The books are Worship and Adore and are currently part of KU. They are wonderful stories. I’ve been in a push to find books that make me feel. These two did that in a major way. These books were twofold. Reading them was wonderful. I loved Luke and Vance so much. Then I talked about them with my online friends. You know its a sign of a good book when people who read it a year or more ago still had such passion while discussing the characters and the plot. I can say these two books need to be read together – its a duet for a reason. If you read these books, email me at kindleKindle Alexander.com or message me on facebook, let’s talk. I have lots of opinions.
Based on the first book I knew this one would be hot and steamy but my god did I underestimate it. I love these boys’ love. This duet is definitely a must read. If you read the first book and loved you, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed! What an amazing story with lots of passion, love, angst and tears!
This book has all the heat, passion and romance that you are looking for.
My heart was breaking for Luke and Vance and all the things they went through in this book. Holy crap! I got my wish and saw Luke and Vance really getting to know each other and really understanding the full scale of his fear of being outed given the fact that he’s a Pastor. What his father allowed to happen to him was horrendous and I was disgusted, but it endeared me to him as a character even more. It was heartbreaking and I hated how much his actions hurt Vance.
Vance is such a kind and caring man. His love for Luke was so great. He never pushed for Luke to open up or define their relationship much to his own pain because he knew Luke wasn’t ready for it or would backtrack when he got scared. He protected and took care of him. I loved seeing him be more in his element at times as a sculptor. And don’t even get me started on the hot as hell sex scenes. OMG!
I’m almost scared to read Communion, but I am also so happy with the way Adore ended that I need more of this happily ever after.
Wow, what a great second book in this story!! I was enraptured the entire time in their story. I could not put this book down. I love everything about this couple and their struggles and their triumphs. They are raw and real and beautiful. The storytelling is done so well and I could feel everything they felt! This is a steamy, emotional and raw story of love, struggle, courage, trials and triumph. Highly recommend!
Part 2 will take you places and make you feel that you are not alone in life’s struggles.
Understanding people and their needs and differences makes you realize people no matter who they love are the same as anyone else!
These characters are so raw and real and you really won’t read this and not take a breath for them! You won’t turn the page without the realization that it shouldn’t matter who you love or what your occupation is- you have a right to be happy and love!
Why do people have to put people in “boxes”? We are all unique and deserving of love!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.
For years, I’ve kept his secret. When he called, I answered. When he needed. I gave. Then he went dark. I tracked him on Instagram-like his sixteen million other followers. When being on the planet with him, separated by his secrets, felt like torture, I moved on. But Luke McDowell wouldn’t let me go. He says he doesn’t want me, but we both know that won’t hold. By the end of our story, he’ll have taken everything. The question is, what will he give?
You have to read Worship before this book or your going to be lost. That book was so good though I know that you will just love it. This book is just as great as Worship and filled with so much heat and passion. I am so in love with Vance and Luke by in this book my heart really broke for Luke. The poor guy wants something or someone he feels like her really can not have and we really see him broken in this book. This is quiet the journey that I loved every second of.
Ella James is a new to me author. These books were stunning. Forbidden MM romance. Vance & Luke had a random first meeting. A meeting that would haunt them both forever. Sex scenes were steamy AF. Many emotional twist that left me wanting more. Narrated by Iggy Toma & Aiden Snow
KU Read
The conclusion of the On My Knees duet. Cannot be read as a standalone.
A quick easy read, with a good amount of sexual tension and angst.
Luke and Vance had to fight for their love. It was not an easy battle. Lots of sex scenes
This is the conclusion to the On My Knees Duet. I should have read this long ago. This story pulled me in from the beginning and kept me up at night. Vance and Luke have a rocky road to say the least. I read a lot and this story is on my short list for favorites. I will reread it. It made me want to find out the ending and sad it ended. These characters are so attractively broken I felt the need to do something. I hate cliffhangers and this starts as one and it reinforces my hatred of them. I am lucky enough that I had both stories before I started them or I’d really been frustrated. It made me cry and at times nervous where it was going. This is one of those romances that will haunt me for awhile. If I could give it more than five stars I would.
This was the most heartfelt read ever!!!
All the Swooning and all the OMG, NO!!!!
You will be in utter captivation the whole time.
Loved it so much, and love Luke & Vance.
An Emotional, All the Feels Read!!!
So many feels…
I feel like I got whiplash reading the last part of this book. So many emotions, but I don’t want to give any spoilers. Safe to say, this duet was a good one. Luke and Vance have definitely been through the wringer and so glad to see them get their HEA.
Powerful series. After the first book, I had to read the second of the series right away. These two main characters are perfect for each other & well thought out. The connection between them is breathtaking. The story is beautifully written. The ending was peaceful and we’ll written (not rushed).
Possible triggers for some regarding beliefs.
This story wrecked me in the best way. I thought Worship was emotional, but it has nothing on Adore. This series is absolutely a must-read!
I’m just in total awe of Ella James’s storytelling.

Hands down you will crave more Vance and Luke. My top read of the year. The only passionate sobbing and filthy romance you need. Your reread will begin as soon as it ends. These men love with ravenous hunger and desperation and I could not get enough.
An incredibly taut barb wire of love and faith and every dirty filthy fantasy in between.
Don’t be fooled by the title. This could be called DEVOUR. This story is a skinprick, an ‘I need a minute to collect myself’ gigantic love letter to intense forever romance. I love their love. I love them. Period. Luke and Vance are so unique, so well drawn, and the endless possibilities that James sets up, she makes it impossible to put down. And the lust, I mean.
OMG both men are FlockHot in their own ways. These men know how to express themselves, and as they wrestle with fate and the constructs that hem them in, they use their imaginations, and their bodies as vessels to fill and defile. It’s depraved and dirty and magnificent. And she lingers between them, letting us peer in on every single thing they feel. It’s hard to express how much I love them and their love and exploration of denial and devotion. Adore almost bursts inside you, from heartbloom to heartbleed.
You need to read this book.
In Worship, James invented the perfect stakes, with two brilliantly drawn characters who ignited a cult-like following in a short time. Here, in the stomach clenching conclusion there is a palpable sense of foreboding that lingers in the corners of every scene. And the love and romance that pour out of these beautiful lovers broke me. I am overwhelmed with affection and wrung out with loving all of it.
Leave it to James to open Adore with a huge twist. And from those opening paragraphs, my heart was on a collision course with Luke and Vance and their outsized love and its disproportionate scales.
Truth: This is an adult romance with a wicked raw sensuality that burns through the narrative like a soul-deep volcano exploding between two men on entirely different paths. I had no idea how this would end. The stakes were so high, the atmosphere so thick with tension and first class angst. I don’t know how she squeezes so much in her taut romance that it oozes dread and hints at more.
Her pared down and minimal prose is devastatingly effective. With a few carefully chosen words, James paints haunting scenes with depth and forbidding. Adore is a visual story, built of the rise and fall of the star-crossed love between Vance and Luke, their needs and desires. It’s almost cinematic. I felt it. Felt it.
A perfect romance, built from longing and empathy with two needy stars. Personally I love that they are never far apart. This is a romance after all, and James delivers so many great moments of adults falling in love, and wrestling with all the angst that your kindle can bear. I LOVE THEM
Ella James has already established herself as an ambidextrous writer. She leaps from genre to genre and the only thing that suffers is my heart. She is a one click writer and I can’t wait to see what she does next.
Bottomline: This book is so damn good, I am already imaging fan fictions.
An adored read!
He says he doesn’t want him, but they both know that won’t hold…
By the end of their story, he’ll have taken everything…
The question is, what will he give?
Oh my heart. So passionate and so heart wrenching. God, that last few chapters, I went from grinning to sobbing to grinning so hard again that my jaw started aching. Love. Always love.
Full of forbiddenness, passion, steam, secrets and romance.
Perfect for readers of forbidden romances.
Adore is the wrap up to Luke and Vance’s unlikely story. This is the third book I’ve read from Ella James and I’m discovering that her books do not evolve like them you expect them to. This story unfolds in a unlikely manner. The two of them experience shocking tragedy and eventually find their way to a most beautiful happy ending. Absolutely loved this book and the duet as a whole!
Be still my heart! My Sky and Rayne. We met these two beautiful, complicated men in Book One, Worship. I could not wait to see how their story continued in Adore. It was real, raw and my heart broke a million times for them. The path to love and being loved is not always easy. It can be messy and painful. But sometimes when it is worth fighting for we work thorough the hurt and the tears to find our HEA. That was Luke and Vance’s path. It was hard and at times their issues seemed insurmountable, but in the end, loves conquers all and brings Sky and Rayne together.
Wow what a hot read that will have you loving this fast read.
I both loved and felt devastated by Worship, which introduced Vance and Luke. The ending of that book left me waiting anxiously for the rest of their story. This book, Adore, is so worth the wait. We get more heartache, more uncontrollable sex than is believable at times, and more reasons to fall in love with both Vance and Luke. There is more interaction between the men this time, with less time apart, but the same issues that came between them in book one still exist here. Neither man sees a way past their barriers to happiness, but neither is willing to give up the love they have found together.
This is a very emotional and satisfying conclusion to the love story of Luke and Vance, and I recommend both Worship and Adore with all my heart!
