The start of the 7 Brides for 7 Brothers series. Excellent author!
This is a good series to get comfy and cozy with. Love the characters and the community and town, it’s a place I’d love to live in. Everyone looks out for one another and helps where they can. Adams a vet, that has long hours, mostly with going to ranches and farms to take care of the ailing larger animals, and his clinic can handle all the others that owners can easily brought in. Long nights, no sleep and the hopes of just a shower and more coffee, stopping to help someone broke down on the side of the road, didn’t prepare him for the vision stepping out of the fancy car….So starts a story of interest for what reason a bride has no groom. Story holds my interest with the mystery, intrigue, suspense, romance and love.
Finding out why an expensive car, has no money, and has no idea where they are heading.
Good book!
I’ve just finished reading this book and I enjoyed it very much. Of course it’s another boy meets girl story and we know how the ending goes, but it’s the in between happenings that add color to the story. It was a fun, light hearted romance story that was fun to read. It had no mistakes in editing that would have been an unwelcome distraction to me and was fast moving so I didn’t get bored with it. I hope I can get to read about the rest of the Farraday family because they all have their own stories to tell.
Great story, I really enjoyed it.
Have read all the books in this series and loved them all.
Fun book with an unexpected twist to the plot
Some of the chapters had captions saying “stars” don’t matter, so I couldn’t decided how many to give. I did enjoy reading the book. It has the “right” amount of romance in it that you didn’t have to skip any pages of “bedroom scenes”. Good won over evil in the end. Good reading.
Awesome! I loved Adam and can not wait to read books about other members of the family! I love small towns with heart and this is one of the best. The way people step up to help Meg and protect her and welcomed her into their world was great. While Meg and Adam were the focus of the book, all of the characters had a depth that made the town feel real. These are the kind of characters that make a series stand out.
A great start to a new series! Adam Farrady is a small town veterinarian & is on his way home from an all night call when comes upon a red fancy sports car on a road that is not well traveled. He thinks his exhaustion is causing him to see things when the drivers door opens and an angel with red hair & a fancy wedding dress steps out. She sounds as delirious as he feels when she starts babbling about a dog, swerving & running off the road & did she hit it?? Adam takes her into town to have someone look at her car & the mystery starts. Who is Meg & why was she running? Was she married? What does it seem like she’s settling in?
I enjoyed reading this book. Chris has a way of setting the beginning scene & using it as a hook into the story. Her descriptive narrative creates a picture of the scene in your mind & makes you realize the chemistry that is present from this very first meeting. The characters are complex and very well developed. I loved the interactions between the women in the poker group! They were funny. Chris has managed to replicate the small town attitudes & environment. The mystery in the story & the illusion of a damsel in distress helped us to realize why the small town residents would accept Meg & look out for her. Chris has given us a heroine that appears to have everything but feels she can’t trust her own feelings & takes a journey of self discovery. Can’t wait for book 2!!
I was given an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest opinion.
