Unattainable. That’s what he is.Thirteen years my senior, my uncle’s best friend, and my father’s business partner. The man could not be any more untouchable if he lived on the moon itself.William Hawthorne has haunted my dreams for the better part of my teenage years. Coming in like a dark knight on the most tragic of days, he swooped in and quietly guided me back to sanity, offering me the … offering me the support I so desperately needed.
Over the years I’ve done my best to stay away, recognizing he is utterly off-limits. And avoiding him has worked… until now.
A series of events have landed me on his doorstep. Literally. I’m both the nanny and his charge, making it practically impossible to stay away.
Closing the distance to my new home, I remind myself of what I know to be true. Life is cruel and its penchant for torturing me hasn’t changed.
It seems the sins of my past have finally come to bite me in the ass, and keeping my secrets will now be harder than ever.
I try to swallow around the ball of emotions stuck in my throat but it’s useless. Letting William see me, the real me—all battered and broken inside, pining after a love I cannot have—is not an option.
As the front door swings open I give myself one last warning. But I have to wonder, will it be enough?

Forced to take on parental responsibilities at a young age Bella, now eighteen, finds herself employed as a nanny by her father’s friend, and business partner William. Tormented by their forbidden relationship, they navigate the intricacies of their personal demons, families and try to find answers to questions long since forgotten. The development of each character was satisfying. This story was exciting and the intrigue kept me reading well into the night. The romance was just the surface, although I did enjoy the steamy scenes as well. This first installment of the The Men of Wrath series is definitely a keeper. I cannot wait to see what the next one has in store. If you enjoy a romance that flirts with the boundaries of propriety, then I highly recommend this one.

When Bella’s mother dies in an accident, she knows that she can never do enough to atone for her part in it. Since then, she’s acted as mother and housekeeper for her father. He’s so wrapped up in his grief, he doesn’t even notice, but his friend William does. Eighteen year old Bella is beautiful and older than her years and he wants her. Helping with his baby, she realizes that she is crushing hard on the still married man. There are secrets and enemies all over this read. Who knows how far his crazy estranged wife will go.
Omg I can’t recommend this series enough. Bella and Williams story even though forbidden it’s tragic, sexy, emotional, addictive and beautiful. The ups and downs the shocking twists had me on the edge of my seat. I could not put it down. These 2 ignite the pages. The storyline is intense yet entertaining. Cant wait to see what’s in store for rest of the Wrath men.
William needs a nanny as he goes through a nasty divorce so when his best friends niece is asked to help he thinks it’s a perfect solution until Bella walks in and she isn’t the little girl he remembered but now is a grown up woman! I really enjoyed this story and all the twists and turns. The characters are so interesting and complex. I can’t wait to read the next book!!!
This is the 1st in a new series and is a debut from this author, and she is certainly someone to look out for in the future. Isabella has had a crush on her uncle’s best friend and her father’s business partner William for years. When her mom is killed in an accident, Isabella needs to step up to the plate for her siblings as her father has checked out on them, but inside she is wrecked by guilt and haunted by demons. When William’s wife leaves him and his daughter he hires Bella as a nanny, and he sees through her façade to the broken person inside. The chemistry between these two is undeniable, but will they be able to resist each other? This is a well written story which is filled with suspense, romance, secrets, drama, and love, which leads to a steamy read. I look forward to reading more from this talented author and I recommend this story.
William Hawthorne is the definition of forbidden, but that doesn’t stop her from dreaming that he’ll finally take notice. He has starred in her fantasies for years, even though she knows he is far too old for her, or so everyone says. With him being thirteen years older than her it is certain that their interests are not the same. His life revolves his daughter and his work, while Isabella’s revolves around caring for her young brothers and finishing high school.
But one day their lives collide, and it’s that collision that changes everything for them… in ways they never saw coming.
Acts of Atonement is a forbidden romance that will have you on the edge of your seat the whole way through! With danger lurking and a secret love affair blooming the pages of this one hold a lot of excitement to get wrapped up in! These two were never supposed to fall for one another, their ages alone should have kept them apart, but it was their hearts that kept pulling them together. William had this innate sense that he was to protect Bella and it drove him to want to keep her close and never let harm come her way. But while keeping her safe something else stirred in him… a desire to never let her go. But not everyone around them would understand their love or how they felt about one another, it was going to cause a ruckus in their lives, but they were prepared for it. Cause being apart was not an option for them.
I thoroughly enjoyed this forbidden little tale, from the first page it had me captivated and fully invested in these characters lives, I just had to see if they would end up finding their way. But it wasn’t an easy journey for them, as they had a lot of obstacles in their way, but love found a way to prevail. I loved what I found here between the pages, and I look forward to the next installment and where it takes me! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
An age gap forbidden romance at its finest. William is not only friends with Bella’s uncle but her father as well, he is going through some personal things and needs help finding a nanny for his daughter. Bella has been through a lot in her young life and now she is helping raise her twin brothers as well as babysitting for William. They are total opposites in life but the the attraction is real. Add some suspense, nosy sisters, an at times immature heroine, and this story seems to have it all. Bella could come across as immature but she’s young and had to grow up too fast for her age, but they some how make this work.

Rating: 5 DELICIOUS STARS
This is my first Eleanor Aldrick read. This is also her debut. I started following Eleanor on Instagram and she’s a sweetheart. I heard all about her books from different bookstagrammers. I also heard that this was an AGE GAP… so I had to read it.
LET ME START BY SAYING THAT THIS IS A WONDERFUL DEBUT!
This book had everything I could want in a book:
Engaging characters with great chemistry and sexual tension that jumped from the page.
An AWESOME book boyfriend. 😉
Aw William
He is Isabella’s father’s business partner, and her Uncles best friend. We got to see his struggle with temptation, his need to control his feelings. William was HOT… He’s such a sassy man! I loved him.
And Isabella…
She went through a lot and she had so many responsibilities towards her family. I liked her and I rooted for her. I wanted her to get her HEA.
Their back and forth was really amusing. William and Isabella also burn up the pages together
Ufff HOT
Beautiful writing, and a well developed plot line.
Acts of Atonement was fast-paced and so entertaining that I ended up reading it in one sitting. I couldn’t stop flipping the pages… I just wanted MORE!
This book is action packed and full of drama development, with twists and turns to keep you invested in the book.
It was a great introduction to the universe of the Men of WRATH! Dangerous, sexy, emotional and fun!
My only complaint: it could have been longer
So, to sum up this long ass rambling review…I really enjoyed Acts of Atonement and I highly recommend it to everyone. It’s a page-turner that is guaranteed to entertain.
What a way to introduce herself to the book world. AOA is Eleanor’s debut novel and had everything I’m looking for in a book: Romance, suspense, and secrets that challenge the characters in their relationships and themselves. The characters were relatable, and the need to find out what happened had me read and swipe left on my kindle as fast as possible until the last page.
I will definitely be reading the second book in the series.
Bella is William’s new nanny. And completely off limits – her father is his business partner, and her uncle is his best friend. There are tons of plot twists, and enough action to keep the reader interested in this book. I love William, but he sometimes sends mixed signals, playing ping pong with Bella’s heart. And that’s mostly because he’s getting the same from his soon-to-be ex-wife. Bella is just a terrific young woman. She stepped up when her mother died, and she’s been the one taking care of her twin brothers and keeping the household running smoothly. She’s smart and organized, and mature beyond her years. But she and her best friend know how to let go and have fun when they go out. Her father needs to wake up and realize that he’s been cheating his daughter out of her youth, putting so much pressure on her where her brothers and the house are concerned. Bella and William have a tough road to get to their happy place. This is my first read from this author, but certainly not the last.

A roller coaster ride of suspense, drama and forbidden love hooked me right from the beginning. I thought the characters had amazing chemistry. I loved her character because she had dealt with so much but was still the same wonderful person. The story was engaging and enjoyable.
I found this to be a superb storyline that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout the whole book!
Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well.
The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting.

This new book 1 in the Men of WRATH Series is a very well-written, instalove, age-gap book with great characters that have a lot of hot chemistry. It has sweetness and darkness rolled into one. The characters have some depth and growth. It has no cheating and no cliffhangers, but it is full of chemistry, intensity, romance, and love. Story is mainly a quick and OTT love story. Guaranteed HEA and a must read

Such an emotional rollercoaster ride. It was remarkable and has a bit of everything. The guilt that these characters deal with is so emotional and gripping. The flow at first felt a bit forced and a tad abrupt but throughout it managed to even out and became a book that will be going on my reread shelf. It was a wonderful read and I fell in love with these characters. I would recommend this to all my friends. Eleanor wrote with eloquence and grace.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. William is older than Bella. He is also a friend and business partner with her father. They cannot fight their attraction when she becomes his nanny. There is a lot at stake if they want to be together. Bella and William have a happy future if they can get past the obstacles. I thought this book was well written. The characters had great chemistry between them

William and Bella’s growing relationship is interesting to watch unfold. It definitely isn’t one that I would have first guessed could happen. Bella really has to let him see her true self, however broken inside she felt. You can see just how difficult that is for he to do. I think that the powerful emotions that you see throughout this book make it quite a good book to read.

Eleanor Aldrick did a great job on this story. Acts of Atonement had a strong well written plot. The story was filled with many emotions. William and Isabella were strong characters, their journey wasn’t an easy one, they had a bumpy road but they were good for each other. Their connection and chemistry was strong. They were good together.
I enjoyed this story. Thanks, Eleanor Aldrick. Great work 🙂
Acts of Atonement by Eleanor Aldrick. Men of WRATH Book one is not to be missed. This is a great age gap contemporary romance with a touch of suspense, action, and plenty of passion to keep you warm at night. I found this to be an enjoyable and steamy story with great character cast.
