“Guarantees characters that glow with equal parts wit, sass, and sensuality.” Library Journal (Starred Review)The first in a fun, flirty new series from Mia Sosa! After a very public breakup with a media-hungry politician, fitness trainer Tori Alvarez escapes to Aruba for rest, relaxation, and copious amounts of sex on the beach–the cocktail, that is. She vows to keep her vacation a man-free zone … vows to keep her vacation a man-free zone but when a cute guy is seated next to her on the plane, Tori can’t resist a little harmless flirting.
Hollywood heartthrob Carter Stone underwent a dramatic physical transformation for his latest role and it’s clear his stunning seat mate doesn’t recognize the man beneath the shaggy beard and extra lean frame. Now Carter needs help rebuilding his buff physique and Tori is perfect for the job. It doesn’t hurt that she makes his pulse pound in more ways than one.
Sparks are flying, until a pesky paparazzo reveals Carter’s identity. Tori is hurt and pissed. She wants nothing to do with another man in the limelight, but she’s still got to whip him into shape. Can Carter convince Tori he’s worth the threat to her privacy that comes with dating a famous actor, or will Tori chisel him down to nothing before he even gets the chance?

This book was so much fun! I laughed, and I swooned, and I loved every moment! <3
Everything… Witty, romantic, wonderful
Two people hiding everything about themselves. Couldn’t finish. I’m sure it’s hilarious, but I couldn’t get that far!
Great!!
It was okay, nothing stands out but not bad either. I wish more time was spent not knowing who he was and on vacation. That to me was the best part of the book.
Didnt hold my interest.
3.5 Impulsive Stars. What a cute, light, snarky, slightly steamy rom com!!! I’ve got several of Mia Sosa’s books downloaded on my Nook, but this is the first one I’ve read. It sucks you in on page one. I mean how can you not keep reading when you get lines like, “I’m standing in the middle of the airplane aisle…Someday I’m going to marry the woman sitting in 12D.”
Carter is an up-and-coming Hollywood heartthrob looking to get off the B-list and onto the A-list by playing a serious role instead of all these RomComs he’s been stuck in. He started acting when he was 17 and it’s been ten years, it’s time to move on. But he’s just had some seriously bad publicity and needs to get away. That’s how he’s landed on the plane heading to Aruba. And in aisle 12.
Tori is a feisty but private person. She doesn’t like the limelight. She doesn’t want it. She wants to concentrate on her personal training business and isn’t interested in seeing her life on page six. She’s been dating a local Philly councilman for the last eighteen months or so and now that’s exactly where she’s landed. Page Six. Oh, did I mention the public breakup he delivered on a local TV station? No? Well, that’s another reason she’s on page six. Tori needs to get away before she does something she’ll regret. So, she books a round trip to Aruba. She’s the woman in 12D.
The characters are relatable, funny, and snarky. Just like I like ’em. The story is interesting and fast-paced. There’s no high drama, just a few tense moments and lots of fun.
After a very nasty, very publicized break-up Tori Alvarez is done with men for a long while, and is in grave need of a little R&R, so she buys herself a ticket Aruba with intentions of getting her reboot on. But then she meets a very alluring gentlemen on her flight, that turns her carefully planned world upside down…
Carter Stone is use to having his every move monitored, it comes with the territory when your a Hollywood heartthrob, but these days looking at him you would never know he was a star. He’s flying under the radar these days, and headed to Aruba for a much needed break from his busy life. He needs a little reboot of sorts, and the moment he meets a very sexy, and very feisty Tori Alvarez he knows she is the perfect woman to help recharge his batteries…in more ways than one!
Acting On Impulse is a sassy and sultry read that is sure to spice up readers lives and leave their toes permanently curled!! The moment I started this one I was hooked, the feisty banter between these two not only made things awfully steamy, it also had me laughing out aloud more times than I could count… it was amazing!! This is my first read from this author and I have to say she totally won me over with this one, it was such a fun read, I loved every minute of it! It had a good mix of everything I look for in a romance read and then some, it had emotion, heat, and two characters that I couldn’t help but fall for… highly recommend this one!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.
Mia Sosa is a ray of sunshine. She uses her quick wit and irresistible talent to brighten up the world of romance. Acting On Impulse is destined to be a classic. Where else can a smidge of fantasy lead to a dose of reality? Tori has a history of falling for the wrong guys. Her heart is all in, but reality doesn’t measure up to the fairy tale in her head. In need of a little rest and relaxation after a draining split, she takes a vacation. A little beach, a little fun and a hot stranger. Who knew fun in the sun could be so enticing? Everything is coming up roses, until her love in bloom encounters a thorn. Carter and Tori are a temptation that must be enjoyed.
