5 star Review Aquisition (Takeover Duet #1) by Chelle Bliss
Be prepared this ends in a monumental cliff hanger……but, Chelle Bliss has already announced that the conclusion will release in late November. This is one of my favourite reads of 2017 and one I highly recommend.
What happens when a one night stand, you never expect to meet again, turns out to be the CEO of a company determined to takeover the company you have given your all for?
This is the predicament Intersteller Corp CEO Lauren Bradley finds herself in when uber Alpha Antonio Forte turns out to be the CEO of the rival company, Cozza Industries trying to force through a hostile takeover.
Both are shocked to learn the others true identity but Lauren is determined to keep her company, particularly as a major breakthrough has just been achieved.
On the other hand, Antonio sees no reason why they cannot separate business and pleasure. He is used to getting what he wants and he wants not only the company but Lauren too.
What transpires is a story so well written that I was on the edge of my seat, totally riveted from start to finish.
Antonio and Lauren are both strong, decisive leaders and a perfect partner for each other.
All is not as it seems though as there is a mole at Intersteller Corp who is determined to bring both Lauren and the company down.
The secondary characters, such as Lauren’s best friend Tara were entertaining.
Acquisition has it all; great chemistry, sizzling attraction, suspense, drama and intrigue.
I have read several books by Chelle Bliss and I have to say that this may well be her best book to date. If I could have given 10 stars I would.
I cannot wait to see where Ms. Bliss takes us when Merger releases in November.
Lauren is CEO of interstellar group and they about to launch their breakthrough cutting technology only to find that their rival company is after a takeover, after a tedious day at the office Lauren goes to drown he problems at a bar there she meets Lou (real name Antonio) they have a one night stand, only problem is the next day she finds out that Lou is in fact the CEO of the company who want to take over Interstellar, what develops in hot and sexy but book one ends with a cliffhanger.
Chelle Blis has definitely excelled herself, bravo definitely a 5 star read
Lauren Bradley is at the top of her field as the CEO of Interstellar Corp. She is a force of nature when it comes to moving her company. Trent Moore who is their head engineer has success with the project that will take Interstellar to the TOP of their field worldwide.
There is a leak at Interstellar. Otherwise, Cozza would not be buying up shares of Interstellar to take over the company to prevent them from taking the #1 spot from Cozza. Lauren is stressed about what is happening so she goes to her favorite bar to have a couple of martinis. Lauren meets a man … Lou. She becomes Elizabeth … she’s intrigued, and can’t resist the sexual pull between them and has a HOT one-night stand.
Antonio Forte, CEO of Cozza arrives at Interstellar for a meeting. Lauren is shocked to see Lou at the meeting, more so to discover he is Antonio Forte himself. Antonio is just as surprised to discover Lauren is his Elizabeth from the night before. The woman he can’t forget, the connection was too deep.
Chelle did an amazing job with this book. She keeps you enthralled with her writing about these two powerful individuals … their struggles, their wants and needs. She pulls you in and has you enmeshed with her characters that you don’t want to stop reading. The ending leaves you on a cliff, a very dangerous cliff that makes you want to get your hands on Merger … the second story in this series … sooner rather than later.
I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
