Another exciting story from A.J. Andersen!
The story of Analise and Xavier was just as action packed, fun and sexy as Faye and Travis’s story.
I liked getting the backstory of Anna and X and how they were a part of each other’s lives.
The tension and the drama keeps you on the edge of your seat while the romance is heart melting and steamy.
The whole cast of characters are quickly becoming some of my favorites.
The ending is so sweet and precious! Except for that one glitch of evil that leaves you hanging. lol
Acquiring Analise is the second book in the K&S Securities Series. To have a better understanding of the book it is necessary to have read the previous one in the series which is titled Finding Faye.
Analise and Xavier were definitely interesting to read about. He grew up with a mob father, went through a terrible experience of losing his mother and changed his life completely to be in a better situation in life.
Analise is a lonely and inexperienced girl. We read about her wedding night and how it isn’t what she expected and she makes a decision that puts her life in danger. These two have a journey full of action, full of emotion, and full of adventure.
These two were absolutely intense to read about. 5 Star Read!
I’ve got this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
First of all, I didn’t know whether to give this book a 4 or 5 stars. This book was also really good, but because some of it I already knew, it was not as intriguing for me. Where it became intriguing was from the 2nd half of the book. It was where the “retelling” of the first book ended and the lives of all of them continued. I liked that part and that is probably also why I have decided to give it 5 stars after all.
To be honest, I liked this book. It was as good as the first, but only because in the first book our precious Faye had to flee, hide away and then later on got beaten and in this book since Analise is pregnant she could not get herself in any of this (thankfully).
I liked the retelling sort of. I saw the story from a different POV and that was refreshing.
As much as Analise getting away from Xavier is justifiable it is also stupid. I mean, I get it, I really do. She was overwhelmed and wanted a love she thought she’d never get.
I also loved every other person in this book. I can’t wait to read Ellie and Nikkie’s stories. Ellie’s being way different than Nikkie’s and waaaay lighter! Okay, to be honest I’m more of excited to read Nikkie’s because of the darkness.
Xavier? I kind of wish he was a little darker like his “mafioso” family, but I’m also glad he wanted to stay in “clear” of all illegal actions. At some points in the bookI was hoping that more of his broody character will show up and that he will get a bigger chance to show his fighting skills. Hopefully I’ll see some of that soon enough.
Otherwise? Think book was really good. Lighter on one side than the first one. Enjoyable.
Oh also! We didn’t get the names of their children! How come?! I don’t know whether to be offended or just shocked, haha. I can’t wait to read their names and get to know them more.
I can’t say enough about this book! I love a good, rough around the edges, stern alpha that doesn’t take any crap! X and Ana have such a great chemistry and are great characters on their own. This book has many of the same secondary characters that we met in Book 1 of the series, and we continue to see them grow as well. I would definitely recommend this book! Can’t wait for the next one in this series!
A.J. Andersen delivered another awesome read! Acquiring Analise will keep you on your toes, full of mystery and drama and some sexy heated moments! So loved Analise and Xavier together! Loved catching up with the other characters from the previous book! Can’t wait for the next installment to K&S Securities series!
This story gives us Analise’s and Xavier’s perspective on what happened in book 1 of the K&S series for about 50% of the book and the other 50% confronts the conflict that K&S security is still trying to find their way out of.
I loved Xavier and Analise. Their circumstances and life in the mob lead them to have an estranged relationship, this is not your typical romance. They find each other in a different way and work through communication issues that stopped them in the past.
This is filled with action and you get to see young women whose lives were disrupted by violence begin to form a community and strength within themselves as they find true love with the men in their lives.
I love stories where I get to see characters I know and love circle back through and learn about the ones who left me curious. Can’t wait for book 3 in K&S!
I need more
I plowed through the first two books in this series and found myself enjoying them more than I’d anticipated. Now I have to wait to see what comes next for this unlikely group of friends-turned-family.
