Ace Locke is Hollywood’s hottest action hero. Women across the globe fling their panties in his direction, but Ace isn’t interested in those—he’s more of a boxer briefs kind of guy. Specifically, those of the nearly naked male model on a billboard he drives past every day. Though he recently made headlines for his public coming out, Ace is wary about pursuing a relationship, fearing what the … relationship, fearing what the court of public opinion will do to his career. But there’s something in the model’s expression that intrigues him and has him wondering what if?
Dylan Prescott just scored his biggest modeling campaign yet. One that has him plastered all over L.A. in not much more than what he was born with. And when he’s cast in Ace’s latest blockbuster, it puts him in close proximity to his ultimate fantasy.
Outwardly confident, Dylan has no problem with his sexuality or his pretty-boy looks, and uses both to his advantage to get what he wants. And what he wants is the impossible—Ace Locke.
From Ella Frank’s Sunset Cove series and Brooke Blaine’s L.A. Liaisons series comes a scorchingly hot novel that blends humor, passion, and romance.
What happens when these two worlds collide?
Although Aced is a spin-off of Ella and Brooke’s series, prior reading of those novels is not required.

If you have not read this series bump it up to the top of your TBR list!
Having read each author’s works and loving them-I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this collaboration. I was NOT disappointed. I could hear each authors’ voice coming out in their characters and was rewarded with the humor and snarky dialogue that each uses on their own.
While this is a M/M book, it is also a love story—well the start of one 😉 Hot sex? check. Witty dialogue? check. Issues to overcome and resolve? check. Snarky and helpful BFFs? check.
I won’t spoil the plot, but this series hit all of my hot buttons and left me with a book hangover. Hot Actor meets Hot male model and all bets are off. If you like your books with a sense of humor you can’t fail with this one!
If you are looking for a book that covers several of the exhibitionist kink bases, look no further. This book covers that kink without going too extreme.
The romance was a nice balance of sweet and steamy, and the actions both main characters take to keep their relationship private maintains tension throughout the story.
Narration was good although the narrator has some unexpected pronunciations for certain words that could be due to an accent I am unfamiliar with.
I am completely Team PresLock. These two are fire and wickedly intense chemistry. Ella Frank has brought me two more deliciously tasty morsels to devour without a calorie gained.
Ace and Dylan are on my fast track to forever in my Book Boyfriend Bank. Sexy, sweet, and daring, these two will heat you up, hold your hand, and drag you along for the ride!
I wasn’t sure what to expect out of Aced, but fell in love immediately with the bad boy actor and his sarcastic ways. Once he set eyes on Dylan he was hooked. Dylan was the compliment to Ace’s bold and sarcastic ways, breaking down the walls between them both, their love for each other was endless and rapid. I love every minute of their banter and how they protected each other from start to finish. I couldn’t get enough of them. This is my second series by this author and I am hooked.
4.5 Stars
I fell in love with Ace Locke in Brooke Blaine’s LA Liaisons series, and I love that Shayne makes an appearance or two in this book. I have not read Ella Frank’s Sunset Cove series, but that will be rectified very soon. I always love a good M/M book and this one is fabulous.
Ace Locke is the HAF Hollywood action hero who loves to drive out of his way to stare longingly at the hot model on the billboard. Dylan Prescott is an up and coming model who lands his first movie role opposite his dream man…Ace Locke. Ace is cocky and confident, but also has a very real vulnerable side to him that only Dylan seems to be able to bring out. Dylan is as real and upfront as they come. He has no problem in speaking his mind and saying exactly what he wants.
Watching them build their relationship and learn to trust each other is nothing short of great, plus the chemistry between these two men is nothing short of combustible! This story is funny and romantic and I devoured every page. It doesn’t really end in a cliffhanger, but it does leave you wanting the next book now, and I CANNOT wait!
Angela – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
The first book in the series, Aced is a brilliant romance full of sizzling heat and sweet adoration. A mega movie star and a hot model come together and find their way through navigating a relationship while avoiding the microscope of the paparazzi. A delightful cast of characters make the journey even more fun and sets a vivid landscape for this series. As is often the case with series from these wonderful authors – there’s a tension-filled cliffhanger at the end, so make sure you have the next book ready to go!! Charlie David’s narration is fantastic and brings to life some of the most intensely sexy scenes I’ve ever had the pleasure to read/listen to!
***6 HEARTS***
Holy Fucking Hottness times ten!!! Aced is a crossover novel involving Dylan from Ella’s Sunset Cove series and Ace from Brooke’s L.A Liaisons series. I loved these men while reading both series’ but I am now obsessed with them. And to think…it all started with a billboard.
Ace Locke is the Hollywood action hero. He is also the most followed man in Hollywood after coming out last year in a surprising way. And now, the paparazzi want the first pic of him with a man on his arm, in the heat of the moment or anywhere in between. Ace might have come out but he was still in hiding. He hated it. But, what made his days brighter was driving by the intersection of Hollywood and Highland to see his fantasy man in the Calvin Klein’s. He could stare at that billboard all day and night if I didn’t make him look like a lunatic. Something about the man in the leather jacket and pouty lips called to him. God, what he would give to see him up close. What he didn’t know was that soon his fantasy could be his reality if he played his cards right.
Dylan was new to this acting thing. He was a model not an actor but when he was told he would be in an action movie with his wet dream, he couldn’t say no. He was going to be starring in a movie with Ace Locke. The Ace Locke. He was nervous as fuck. And it didn’t help that when he first land eyes on the man…all he could think about was, what a jackass. But a hot jackass in a sex on wheels car. That was just the tip of the iceberg…things were about to get interesting. Very interesting and fucking hot if the eyefuck showdown was any indication.
To say that Ace was shocked when he put two and two together would be an understatement. The billboard come to life was even sexier than he imagined. He was also so much more. Dylan didn’t have a filter. He said what he meant and didn’t back down. Ace wasn’t used to being put in his place, and being around someone that didn’t care what people thought about him. It was refreshing. It was also dangerous. Dylan made Ace lose his mind. He felt things he never felt. He was possessive. Primal. Off kilter. And he craved every moment with him. But at the same time he had to be safe. Will Ace be able to handle everything that comes with being with him? The man with no filter was all the way open and he was still half way in the closet.
Dylan wanted Ace. That was apparent but he didn’t just want his body. He wanted to know the real Ace Locke. Not the Hollywood action hero. He wanted Ace to lose some of his filter. To let loose around him. To say what he wanted to say whenever he wanted to say it. He wanted the dirty and rough side to unleash on him. But, he also loved the sweet and surprising side as well to this man. But, could he really have him? Can he stay hidden when he has always been open? And can he let Ace into his mind and soul or just his body?
Oh. My. Fucking. God. I. Loved. This. Book!!! I was hooked from start to finish. There is not one dull moment. It’s full of passion, heart, sweetness, and surprises. It’s by far one of my favorite M/M books ever, if not my favorite. Dylan is bold, sexy, and supportive. And damn…picturing him in a uniform just about did me in. Then there is Ace. God almighty…he gets bossy in this one and it’s hot. He is also sweet, fun, and also not bad in a uniform. I can’t even think of a word to describe them as a couple because together they are everything.
Team Ella & Brooke have written one hell of a book. To bring their two worlds together was genius and to make it M/M was even better! Not everyone can write M/M but they make it look easy when I know it was anything but. Amazing work, ladies! I can’t wait to see what is coming up next. Also, what is up next for both of your series’.
Overall…it’s sexy as fuck, sweet, funny, and had some added suspense. Seriously, one of the hottest books of 2016. I wanted to attack my husband more than once during the time I read it which didn’t take long. These men also made me laugh. Dylan real has no filter and I love it.
P.S. It’s rare for me to do re-reads but I will be doing one for this one.
Quotes:
It was the promise in that heated expression, and in that instant I knew—Ace was coming for me.
“Tell me what you want to do to my mouth, Ace.”
“Do I mind? Ace, this is some Pretty Woman shit right here.”
I really don’t know why I took so long to start reading this series! Aced is a super-hot book from the get go!
Ace Locke is a mega movie star. On the way to set one day, he holds up traffic while lusting after a billboard of a gorgeous underwear model. One he would like to peel off him!
Dylan Prescott is a model and aspiring actor who has always had a thing for Ace Locke. When he finds he will be in the same movie as Ace, he is excited. Unfortunately, their first meeting is anything but smooth.
Ace is out about being gay, but has never been caught out with a man. The paparazzi are frenzied over getting the coveted first picture. Starting to date Dylan, they are very cautious. Dylan is fine with it as he is a pretty laid back and a go with the flow kinda of guy. He understands the need for Ace’s privacy as he knows he has a few secrets he harbors of his own.
You know it’s just a matter of time till the word and pictures get out of their romance. How will they handle it?
I loved the book and Ace and Dylan make a great couple. They are seductive, fun, flirty, smoking hot-everything you come to crave of a Ella Frank/Brooke Blaine book! I listened to the audio book and loved the narrator Charlie David! He brought Ace and Dylan to life for me!
I am looking forward to the next book, Locked, to see how they handle the spotlight of fame!
I was gifted a copy of the audio book by the authors. The rating and opinion are mine.
Love love love Ace and Dylan
So happy I finally read this! I’ve had it on my kindle forever ~
Dylan is the man of Ace’s dreams.
Dylan Prescott is a model whose Calvin Klein billboard poster mesmerizes and absolutely captivates A-list actor Ace Locke. So much so, Ace has no problem stopping his car in the middle of the freeway to just … stare.
On the set and amongst the chaos of filming Ace’s next action flick, the actor finds himself in a meet and greet kind of meeting involving all the actors, and lo and behold, who does Ace see sitting right across from him? Mister NothingcomesbetweenmeandmyCalvin’s …
These two are perfect together. Ella and Brooke created these two characters who are along the lines (nnnnot quite but so close) of Tate and Logan: intelligent, sexy-beyond-hell, caring to those around them, alpha, and most importantly, likable.
It’s clear that the two are completely on the same page and the idea of a relationship is not far-fetched to them. While they embrace the newness of “them,” they also have plenty of unwanted distractions to deal with: the relentless paparazzi and Dylan’s estranged drug-addict mother who’s trying to worm her way back to her son ~ there’s definitely more to that story in the next installment ~
Great first book for this series ~ on to Locked (Book 2)
Heat and emotion!
This is my first book by these authors, but it won’t be my last! I loved watching Dylan and Ace’s love unfolding!
Hotness!
Oh my hotness with Ace and Dylan. It was a bit comical that the book opens with Ace staring at Dylan on a billboard and then 20 minutes later they are staring at each other at a round table reading. This book was hot and steamy with a lot of heart and feelings.
Erotic and sassy–full of fun and sexy innuendoes that had me snickering.
The guys? HOT!
The attraction? Undeniable.
The sex? Sizzling!
The cliffhanger? Epic!
I am dying for book 2. I HAVE to know what happens next.
The verdict? 5 huge glowing stars!
Fun Sexy read!
Holy. Hotness!!
I don’t think getting nekkid and diving into the waters off Antarctica could cool you down after spending some time with Dylan and Ace, but it isn’t just how damn sexy both these men are that made them irresistible story is filled with sweet, tender and laugh out loud moments that had me doing the dopey smile and sighing thing while trying to keep cool from the heat throughout the book.
I really liked Ace in Brooke Blaine’s Hooker, so when I found out he was getting his own book I knew I’d have to get my hands on it ASAP and I went from really liking him to adoring him. He loves the money and perks that his success as an action hero has brought him and has no issue with using either to get what he wants. Now this could make him an egotistical pretentious a-hat, but it doesn’t. He’s down to earth, appreciates what he has and works hard for it. He’s sweet, charming and oozes sex at every turn. His relief at coming clean about his sexuality has lifted one weight off his shoulders, but wanting to keep any relationship he starts to be kept out of the public eye has taken it’s place and his desire to not give the story of the century to the media has him back in a cage due to his need to protect not only himself, but the man he chooses to pursue.
Dylan. Oh, Dylan. Can I just say that I absolutely adored him from the moment I met him, which was in this book since I haven’t read any of the books in the Sunset Cove series by Ella Frank, yet. But I’ll get there sooner rather than later. Dylan is just so damn comfortable in his sexy as sin skin that it’s hard not to be drawn to him and want to just cuddle. Okay, more than cuddle but since more won’t happen, cuddling it is. He’s sweet, sexy and an incorrigible flirt. He’s also honest about who he is and what he wants. He has his demons. though they don’t consume him and that has a lot to do with his amazing family (Can we please get more of them?? Pretty please??) but they have played a part in making him into the man that he is.
Apart, Ace and Dylan are the type of men who make you stop in your tracks and do an opened mouthed double take. Together they fall under the drop dead in your tracks lethal. I thought that the sexual tension that burned between them as they danced around each other was hot, but I was wrong. Once they stopped dancing around each other and started dancing with each other, it was nuclear. What upped the ante was how they simply clicked. The flirting, the sweet gestures and the need in each of them to want to know the other to the depths of their souls and fight for that right made this burgeoning relationship absolutely dopey smile worthy.
The writing was engaging and the pacing was great. The dual 1st person POV was well done and you could tell that these authors have written together before (another set of books I need to push up on the TBR list) because it was all so seamlessly woven together that you know this isn’t their first go around. I loved seeing a few familiar faces, as well as meeting some new ones ~ Dylan’s family in particular ~ and can’t wait to see what they have cooked up for us next!

Loved it!
4.5*
I loved that once these 2 met in person, after being such fans of the other from movies and print, that there was no playing around! Ace was a little leery at first because of the whole working together thing, but luckily he didn’t let that stop him. As my cousin said, Dylan is so cheeky- I love him. We got to see some of his boldness in Devil’s Kiss and it was so great to see him shine in his own book! Ace is a new character to me, I haven’t read Brooke’s book where he was introduced but I don’t feel like I missed out on anything. Although I do want to go back and read it now, to see what led to his “coming out”.
Both Ace and Dylan are such sweet, endearing characters. They care so much for the other and aren’t afraid to show it. Even with the difficulties that came with keeping their relationship on the down-low they didn’t let that get to them. And once they were “outed” they were all-in, and I just loved that! It’s so nice to read a book every once in awhile that doesn’t have a lot of unnecessary drama, one without a lot of push and pull between the characters. And Aced was just that kind of book and I couldn’t put it down.
I’ve jumped right into Locked so I’ll be ready as soon as Wedlocked releases later this week!
