A standalone romance in the 425 Madison SeriesArya I know I can make you blush. It’s a weird claim to fame, but a perk of my dream job: being the voice of your favorite romance audio books. Laughter, hijinks, adventure. Passion. Sweet heaven, the passion. It’s everything I could ever want. Except… The problem with this fabulous life? It’s all just fantasy. Picking between Chinese and Thai …
Picking between Chinese and Thai delivery doesn’t count as adventure.
The bestie who always makes me laugh is thousands of miles away.
As for the hunky hero? It’s not like he’s just going to come crashing into my apartment.
Until the night a bearded stranger does exactly that…
Gavin
Do the job. Get the bad guy. Go home.
Most importantly, don’t get involved.
Those are the rules. The bureau’s and mine. And they work. Even better, they give me the perfect excuse to keep my distance.
The perfect escape from getting burned again. Except…
Why can’t I stop watching her?
I shouldn’t care more about what she’s doing than my target.
I shouldn’t let her distract me from the job.
And I sure as hell shouldn’t fantasize about a woman I’ll never meet.
That is, until the night I surprise us both by kicking down her apartment door. Rules or no rules, it’s true that…
After all, 425 Madison is the perfect place to fall in love.

This book was a fun, hot, cute, quick read for me. I loved the way Gavin and Arya met it was so unexpected but so perfect I couldn’t have pictured it happening any other way.
Gavin is an FBI Treasury agent that is currently on a stakeout looking into one of the residents of 425 Madison. Who knew that such things happened in a building that is the perfect place to fall in love? Arya is a voice narrator for Romance audiobooks, who absolutely loves her job and moved across the country to accept the position she was offered just three months earlier. Both of them are sort of loners with not many friends but when they meet there is an instant connection. Arya isn’t going to let Gavin get away no matter how hard he tries and I have to say her spunky attitude was so much fun.
This story is the eighth book in the 425 Madison Series but can definitely be read as a standalone. Each of the books in the series have their own HEA so they can be read in any order, if you haven’t read one yet now is the perfect time to start.
Happy Reading!!!
This was a fun, quick read that has both heart and some heat. With a hero who has scars – both literally and figuratively – from the past and a heroine who steps way out of her comfort zone, it was easy to get caught up in this “friends with adventures” story.
Arya is an introvert by nature, so watching her take such a leap outside of her normal routine was fun and even a bit inspiring (introverts of the world unite…but not together!). She had me laughing as she acted out her favorite scenes from the books she narrates and cheering her on as she decided to go after what she wants – namely one grumpy Ninja Lumberjack named Gavin McCord.
Gavin’s sole focus has been his job, which has allowed him to keep his distance from everyone. Of course he just can’t manage to stay away from Arya – from the first time he crashes through her door to allowing her to “find” him, you can feel his walls start to crumble. And underneath all that gruff, stay away attitude is one romantic man!
This is the 8th book in the 425 Madison Series and I loved getting to spend some time with some of the characters form the other books. Mrs. Williams played a perfect part in this book and I loved the circle of friends that Arya develops throughout the story.
Another fun read in this series that can be read as a standalone and would make a nice addition for a summer TBR!
I read this book on Kindle Unlimited.
When I received the ARC of Accidentally in Love, I had some definitive thoughts or expectations about this story.
First of all, I knew I’d love it. In fact, I expected to fall gung-ho in love with these characters. After all, this is Katy Ames we’re talking about! She had already wowed me with those anticipated weekly chapters on Instagram that evolved into one of my favorite emotional romances, Returning to Eden. So I knew I’d love anything this author wrote.
Second of all, based on that amazing blurb, I expected fun and adventure, awesomely hot chemistry, and just a great romance overall. What I didn’t expect was how deeply this story would touch me. Was it everything I wanted?! Heck, yeah! That …and then some! However, it was just so much deeper than what I could have ever imagined, yet everything I’d hoped it would be.
My favorite thing about Katy Ames’s writing is her ability to hone in on a character’s vulnerabilities and make the reader–me–feel everything. She is a master at conveying true heart-felt emotions, and she uses her poetic license to delve between the lines of romance using love and emotion and chemistry so effortlessly. Her writing has strength and intelligence, and therefore, no other choice but to create beautifully written stories.
Our heroine, Arya Winters is smart, sexy, tenacious, so sweet and absolutely adorable. Now, I’m not a fan of romance audio books, and believe me–I’ve tried! But even I can admit that being the voice of romance book characters would be such an amazing job to have. Our hero couldn’t even resist Arya’s sultry voice when she was doing one of her readings:
“…Every paragraph after that frays another thread of my self control, until I’m forced to lock the camera in the tripod before I drop it, and wipe my chin to make sure I’m not drooling.” Well, well, well! LOL!
Amping up Arya’s adorable factor a couple of notches was the super-cute way that–on occasions—she would physically act out the more adventurous or stunt-like scenes from the books she reads. She has said herself that it was to interject some fun into her life! Could she have been any cuter?!
And Gavin! When I say that he snatched my heart from my chest and took it with him, that’s an understatement! Arya accurately compared that steamy specimen of man to a tiger–“a beautiful predator waiting to devour her.” Yeah! Sounds about right! Gavin McCord–tall, brawny, sexy, bearded FBI Agent–and dare I say HOT?! The man exuded power, intelligence, and sensuality, yet he showed that he was also vulnerable. That vulnerability certainly did nothing to weaken him as a character, but only added to his strengths and abilities.
This story was amazing, and this couple has become one of my favorites. This story has definitely been added to my “All-Time Fav Rereads” list. The friendship that developed between Arya and Gavin was fun and so refreshing. They came to truly like each other. I loved that Gavin went above and beyond to give Arya all the adventure she craved and needed in her life. I also admired that these two had quite an adventurous relationship that wasn’t hinged on whether or not they pursued a physical one. Now that’s not to say that they didn’t want to rip each other’s clothes off on several occasions! Arya and Gavin had sexual chemistry in spades, and if these two casted any more sparks off of each other, they’d be able to start their own forest fire!
I didn’t have to strain my brain trying to imagine the looks, the kisses, or the caresses with Arya and Gavin. Ms. Ames words cast a beautiful moving picture in my mind’s eye, and I couldn’t get enough of these two. To feel that powerful pull between Arya and Gavin; to enjoy the adventures they created along with the heat they generated. The way these two opened up their hearts to each other–leaving nothing hidden–even when their fears of being hurt threatened to surface and dared to destroy what they created with each other. The way Arya would grab Gavin’s beard to get his attention or to look into his eyes and see deeply into his soul. I was loving every freaking moment of this story!
And do I even need to mention the hidden libraries, famous authors, and book readings?! I’ll just call that an extra added bonus!
WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! ACCIDENTALLY IN LOVE by Katy Ames BLEW ME AWAY with this One!! It was such a Rollercoaster ride of Emotional distress and Entertaining at the same time with their Banter plus the struggle with one another on their feelings! At the Very Beginning of the Book, I was laughing out loud and devour it in ONE Sitting since it was So Captivating!!
The chemistry between the two characters are Off the Charts Hot and Never a Dull Moment!
I am NOT Ready for the 425 Madison Series with Other Amazing Authors to Come to the End since this is Book #8. A DEFINITELY A MUST READ BOOK AND SERIES!!
I am not sure that I even know where to begin writing a review for this because it is truly an awesome experience.
The author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major two characters, but the minor ones too.
I loved everything about it – the characters, the plot, the emotion, the writing, and the ability that the author had to tell me a story that had me wanting this book to go on and on.
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
This book was so freaking cute! I just couldn’t get over how adorable everything about it was and how perfect Gavin and Arya were for each other. They had chemistry to the max and their love story was filled with swoon-worthy moments. They also went through some pretty intense personal journeys in order to reach a point where they were ready to be together, and it was so rewarding to see them overcome their limitations and become the best versions of themselves. In my mind, that’s the highest goal of love: to make us into better people. Katy Ames did an incredible job of portraying that here. She also captured the quirkiness of New York so well! I happened to be in NYC while I was reading Accidentally in Love, and it was very cool to find myself walking past places mentioned in the story and imagining that I could bump into its characters while walking up the street. This book is the perfect addition to anyone’s summer reading list, and it might just be my new fave from Katy!
We’ve reached Book 8 in the 435 Madison series and I’m so sad that this series is going to be
coming to a close soon. I’ve loved it so much.
Arya and Gavin might be one of my favorite couples from this series. Their romance was steamy and
fun. Totally not what I’d expect in regards to their professions. An audio book narrator and an FBI guy.
Again, not two worlds that I would expect to collide, but they did. If you go by their “meet cute” they
definitely collide!
The other thing that really got me about this book was the fragility of both characters. You don’t think
twice if the female is fragile or vulnerable, but as you get to know Gavin (The Ninja Lumberjack), you
see he is too, and possibly even more so, than Arya.
It isn’t all seriousness. Their relationship actually has some great LOL moments pretty much from the
start.
Like the rest of the series, it is a quick afternoon read that was really fun or more to the point, funny.
If you’re looking for the perfect summer read, look no further. Accidentally in love is filled with sexy banter, emotionally pulling moments, and steamy love. I LOVE that Accidentally in Love is totally unique in it’s own little rom com way. You will fall in love with Arya and Gavin. Their love is all sorts of swoon worthy and beautiful, not to mention a fantastic HEA. I could not put it down from the first line. As always, Katy Ames has done it again. Swooped in and knocked us off our feet with another fantastic love story!
Had me hooked from the start!
The book was funny and Arya was a spitfire! Gavin certainly didn’t know he had met his match when he busted through her door!
I love this whole series of books. They are all great and so different.
You can read whatever one you want first, the only connection they really have is the building where one of the main characters lives.
I think so far this has been my favorite book in the 425 Madison series – this is book 8, while each can be read as a standalone, the settings are typically similar and some characters may cross over book lines.
This was an unexpected relationship story between an FBI Agent and a spunky Romance audiobook narrator! It was a fun story about instant chemistry, and how that plays out. Both characters pretty happy with their isolated lives, but learn to let each other in. I thought this book was well plotted out and told a wonderful story.
What a great premise to the story with Arya being a narrator who is shy and a bit of an introvert. Gavin comes stumbling into her life one unexpected night and the friendship that is forged is a sweet tale. I loved the growth between the characters and how they each brought out the best in the other and created for a fun sweet tale. My only regret reading this is wanting to know that Gavin was able to close his case.
Accidentally in Love is the latest story in the 425 Madison Avenue novella series. This is Arya and Gavin’s story. I enjoyed this one immensely. I loved the instant chemistry between the two. I also loved how they got to know each other as friends before lovers. The only thing I wish was that it was a longer story. I would have loved to spend more time with this couple. I highly recommend this one as well as the series a whole. You don’t have to start at the beginning. Just pick one and dive right in!
ARC REVIEW:
“That’s funny, though, ‘cause you’re the one who came crashing into my apartment. Not the other way around.’” “I shouldn’t have.” “Yeah, you’re right. You shouldn’t have. But you did, and now you owe me some answers. Consider it payback for scaring the bejeezus out of me and pointing a gun at my butt.”
First of all, thank you Katy Ames for letting me read and review this book. I absolutely loved reading it and couldn’t stop reading it. Arya was so relatable to me. She was quite (which I can be until I get to know someone), loves romance books, and kind of stuck in her own head. And then there’s Gavin. Thank God or should I say thank you Katy (haha). Gavin pretty much had a thing for Arya since he first started his assignment in New York. He might have been spying on her when he should have been watching someone else and that’s how they met. I love that there’s a little bit of banter between them. I’m definitely going to be checking out other books in the Sightseeing in Manhattan series. This is a sweet and funny romance book and you’re not going to want to miss out reading this!
Gavin is a federal agent staking out the suspected criminal in 425 Madison from a building across the street. Arya is the suspect’s neighbor. Gavin tries not to watch her, to invade her privacy, but he can’t help but notice her patterns. A sudden altercation in her apartment grabs his attention, and he rushes over to save her.
Intrigued by the mysterious stranger who barged into her apartment and somehow knew her name, Arya stakes *him* out over the next few days and follows him back to his hiding place. She recognizes another lonely soul in him as she herself feels, and they begin to have adventures together, taking turns finding fun things to do together to learn the city and have more of a life than sitting in their apartments all day.
This was a fun book to read. Arya is a strong, independent young woman who moved across the entire country for her dream job, despite not knowing anyone in the city. But her life isn’t what she expected and she’s lonely. I love the group of friends that Gavin helped her gain entry into. And Arya helps Gavin see that he can have a life outside of work. They really are so sweet together.
This book was a nice addition to the 425 Madison series. It’s a cute, fun, light read despite Gavin’s occupation. Is there a huge glaring plot hole in that he can leave his subject for hours at a time to go on dates with Arya? Sure. But this isn’t a crime novel. We can suspend our disbelief for that in order to enjoy the story of Gavin and Arya.
I loved the way Gavin and Arya met, such a unique meeting. Gavin is an FBI agent. He has experienced his share of heartache and tragedy. Arya is a romance narrator for audio books. She is so hilarious and quirky. This is a feel good romance with more meaning than just the ugly duckling.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review.
Katy Ames has written the perfect quick romance story. The characters are wonderful and easy to like, their story is wonderful and fun to read, and the book is just the right length for a hot summer night read.
Arya and Gavin are perfect for each other. I love how they meet, I love how the attraction between them is steamy from the first look. I love how they circled, spied, and fought against the attraction until they just couldn’t stay away any longer.
425 Madison is the place to live, the place to meet people, and the place to fall in love. This is part of a series of books all written by different authors. Each book is its own complete story. Sometimes the characters appear in each other books but mostly it is all about the location. 425 Madison is just the place to be.
What a unique twist to this 425 Madison installment!
Katy Ames delivers quirky fun characters on a backdrop of adventure and mystery. Our hero and leading lady have crazy cool jobs. They find each other in the craziest of ways. There’s just enough broken pasts and angst to keep the plot moving…but the sweet love story makes it a new fav!
Ames takes two of my favorite past times and builds a story around them. Accidentally in Love is a quirky kind of romance. Arya and Gavin are destined to have their own storybook romance with comes bumps and bruises along the way. She’s a romantic at heart. He’s a realist by trade. When fate steps in and brings together the light hearted personality and the brooding bachelor is when the real magic begins. Fun, flirty, fabulous.
Loved this book definitely one of my favorites in the series their connection was passionate and loved them as a couple
This was a fun and quick read! Even with the main character Gavin’s description, and the picture on the cover, in my head, as I read his grumpy personality, I actually kind of pictured the actor Jason Statham. It was neat reading about a character who had the job of being an audiobook narrator like the main character Arya. Have to love the GOT name there too! The romance in this was a little more subtle, like there was total sexual vibe between the two that was just too hard to ignore. And that led to some really naughty, yet fun scenes between the two. I liked that Arya was so into the romance books that her friends suggested she look at how those books went whenever she described her friendship/relationship with Gavin. I wasn’t really happy, and thought it came out of left field a little how she did the little ghosting bit with him at the end, but all in all, it worked out perfectly. I do love all the different characters we get to meet in the 425 Madison building, and definitely think they round the whole story out!
