Two hearts both troubled by their own minds meet on a spontaneous vacation, when things take a dramatic turn.Shane: My commander told me to go on vacation or I’d be put in mandatory therapy. So vacation it is, being a Green Beret I live for the job. Maybe this could be fun, or maybe it will add to my PTSD. Then, I see her, she’s terribly out of place and nervous. Thankfully the only open seat in … only open seat in the bar is next to me.
April:
I’m so embarrassed and out of place. Being ditched by my bestie wasn’t really the girls weekend I had hoped for. But, I’m going to make the most of this disaster and have some fun. I may even get a little wild! Then I see him, the handsome stranger at the bar, I’m guessing military by the looks of him. How was I to know exactly how wild things can get?
This is a story of a man with PTSD symptoms, he’s a bit more fragile, but not afraid to step up and save his girl. They have a little too much fun, and wind up with an unexpected surprise in the morning.
Shane is a Green Beret recovering from the loss of his team overseas when he meets a beautiful artist on vacation in Las Vegas.

They both have things that need fixing in one way or another. He has PTSD and she has been abandoned by her best friend on what was supposed to be a fun weekend for them. But when she decides to hell with it she will just have a fun weekend on her own. Into a bar she ends up and there he is. But what a surprise the next morning. I enjoyed reading this. Excitement, twists and turns, emotional situations and so much more. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This is another fast fun read in this series not only do they take less than an hour to read but they seem to get better with every latest addition
This is Shane and April’s story. He is a green beret the only survivor from a IED and he isn’t handling it well so his commanding officer gives him a choice take some leave or have mandatory counselling so here he is in Vegas. April would much rather be home either earning some extra money with extra shifts or working on her pottery but she agreed to come to Vegas with her friend after all her friend is paying The only problem is that her friend cancelled flying with her as she has got herself a new boyfriend. When she enters the bar the only seat available is next to a hot looking military guy before they know it Shane and April have connected but neither expected to wake up married the next morning Will this be something that happened and stayed in Vegas or is it the start of a new life for both of them You will have to read to see
Another great story in this series. All the books keep getting even better and they were good to begin with. Shane and April made a great story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a quick and easy read and while this “theme” of the accidental wedding has been done many, many times before I can truthfully state that I loved this one by Scarlett Winters. Shane has been told he has to take a vacation to take his mind off his last mission where he was the sole survivor of an IED attack. What better place to recoup and recover than in Vegas where the saying “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” turns out to be more than just a saying. April has a good life, if not frugal one where she works as a waitress to pay to bills so she can do what actually pleases her the most and that is her pottery. She could never have afforded this trip to Vegas but since her best friend insisted on booking and paying for a girls weekend away, she would have just stayed home and worked some extra shift. What had not been planned was for her girlfriend to stand her up and stay home with a new boyfriend. Oh well, since the trip was already paid for… When she walks in to the bar and as luck turns out to be on her side, the only empty seat happens to be next to the handsome military . What happens next is a Vegas adventure that neither of them actually planned so when they wake up the morning after meeting and realize they are married, well strange things just keep happening from that moment on. A great book that can easily be read in one setting and will leave you thinking “I really enjoyed that”.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review
