Two strangers accidentally switch cell phones in a busy airport in this edgier You’ve Got Mail, sexy romance for the smart-phone era …Emmy What a disaster! I only just made my flight to New York to help my uncle, and the phone I’m holding is not mine! It seems to belong to some commitment-phobic serial dater who’s never made it past four dates (according to the constant notifications he’s … notifications he’s getting from his fake dating profile…) And worse? I have a sinking feeling it’s that hot suit-monkey with the arctic grey eyes I just had a run-in with at the airport. Somehow, I have to persuade him not to get a new phone until I get back. My whole life is on that phone. I knew I should have backed it up. It’s only a few days. Surely, we can handle it.
Trystan
This is a joke, right? My life could not get more f*cked up. I’m in the middle of selling my company and on my way to a funeral and that hot mess hippie-chick stole my freaking phone. I’m not sure how she convinced me not to immediately walk into a smart phone store and get a new one, but now she’s going to have to play stand in and distract me while I deal with my long-avoided and estranged family. I don’t have my dating apps after all, and frankly she’s pretty funny. And sexy. And why can’t I stop texting her? And now we’re talking. And … look, I’ll admit that I usually run for the hills the morning after, but the morning after phone sex? That’s not really real, right?

Good story but ended abruptly
Accindental Tryst was different but fun! It starts off with them at the airport and how they claim each others cell phone. But how they author links them up with texting and email is hilarious. There are laugh out loud moments and that is really rare for me!
I really enjoyed this book and the characters. It was a great read I am so happy I bought it.
Very funny situation picking up someone elses phone and the ensuing comedy played out.
Great Easy Read!
Unique story line. Very funny! Loved the book.
Really enjoyed this book! I was in a book funk and finished this within a few days! It was an easy read with fun, realistic characters. Super sexy and fun read, I loved it!
A busy New York suit on his way to Charleston to the funeral of an estranged family member in the middle of a huge business deal.
A slightly klutzy and scattered hippie chick on her way from Charleston to New York to take care of some family matters of her own.
Both can’t live without their phones. But they kinda accidentally pick up the other’s phone from the airport docking station in Charleston.
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!!!!
LOL!!! That was adorably hilarious!!!
I just loved reading this book!
Of course we also have our very serious moments – both Emmy and Trystan have serious family problems and both are also pretty scared of serious relationships.
But mostly this was an amazing romantic comedy.
The way those two text and talk on their switched phones – just adorable!
I loved every second of this love story.
The characters – the setting in beautiful Charleston – the texts and emails and banter and serious stuff while talking on the phone …. just beautiful.
Now I can’t wait to hear how Trystan’s poor cousin Beau will manage to get his inheritance!!!
ACCiDENTAL TRYST was the most adorable and hilarious romantic comedy with some very serious moments thrown in. I loved it! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Trystan – this one is MINE!!!
A truly fun rom-com perfect for your beach bag!
Funny. Sexy. Relatable. Engaging. These were my thoughts while reading this book.
This was my first time reading a Natasha Boyd book. I loved that she told the story from both Emmy’s and Trystan’s perspectives, giving us insights into their backgrounds, their insecurities, and their feelings.
And although not a unique concept, I thought the use of text messages and emails between Emmy and Trystan to assist in developing their relationship was a great idea. They were essentially online dating without using an online dating service. She did a good job showcasing the comfort one typically feels hiding behind technology and the awkwardness of finally meeting face to face.
I also loved being able to visualize real places she wrote about. Being originally from New York and visiting Charleston several times, she totally put me back in those environments and aching to travel to both places.
And Holy Moly, *spoiler* I was not expecting the explosive phone sex scene. Talk about H-O-T!
My only criticism is that I didn’t like the abrupt ending to the book. *spoiler* I was left with questions regarding Trystan’s resolution with his family, especially his grandmother; the discrepancies he identified in the finances; his nursing home findings; etc. Maybe an epilogue would have tidied everything up. I’m hoping that many of my questions will be answered in the books about Trystan’s cousins, Beau and Suzy. I still give it 5 stars though.
There was nothing accidental about this delightful read. I most definitely enjoyed Emmy and Trystan’s “meet cute” relationship.
I loved this story and it was really fresh, smart, witty, sexy, and just all around great.
I definitely recommend this book, this author and I look forward to reading more from Natasha.
4,5 stars
I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.
Let me first start by saying that I totally loved this book!
After reading the blurb of ‘Accidental tryst’ I really got intrigued (and maybe even a little obsessed) with this book. So when I finally could read it, I must confess that I was a little nervous about it. (Because it wouldn’t be the first time that the blurb was better than the story.) But to my delight and happiness ‘Accidental tryst’ was a great and fun story! It held my attention from the beginning until the end.
Life can work in mysterious ways. Here we have Trystan and Emmy. Both are at the airport of Charleston, one is there to fly to New York to see her sick uncle and one has just come from New York and is in Charleston to attend a funeral. They have never met but by a simple mistake of taking the other ones phone they will get to know each other very well. Sometimes it’s easier to tell things to a stranger, to confess secrets and fears through a text message. And sometimes the universe knows better than you what you need.
It took me a little bit to get into the story. But the more I got to know Trystan and Emmy, the more I got into the story. The story is told from both POV’s. And although it takes a good part of the story for Trystan and Emmy to actually meet, it certainly didn’t mean that the story was boring!! In contrary, I really loved their banter through text messages and emails. But I also loved the fact that they were there for each other in difficult times (even many miles apart, they still supported the other one). I loved that! And although there weren’t a lot of sex scenes, the ones that were in it, they were very steamy! I liked the side characters also very much. The only thing that I missed a little bit (but it’s totally personal), is an epilogue. I just have a weakness for them.
Although in the couple’s perceptive everything goes really quick, as a reader I would almost say that it’s a bit of a slow burn, simple because they meet more towards the end of the book.
If you are a fan of the movie ‘You’ve got mail’ but you would have liked some sex scenes in it, than you definitely have to read this book!
