How did I get so lucky?
Let’s forget all six foot something of his oh-so-bad superdad self.
His flashing eyes and SEAL perfected whip of a body aren’t why I’m dizzy.
It’s the bittersweet way he smiles when I poke at my past.

In this story Nicole adds a unique twist into one of my favorite tropes, Fake Marraige. Only the heroine in the story has no idea the marriage is fake due to having no memory of her life.
Flint is a retired Seal who just moved from Honolulu with his 12 year old son to the other side of the island into his newly designed high security home. Having left behind the dangers when he retired and selling the patent for his security firm that he created with his Seal buddy Cash, he’s hoping to spend the rest of his life in peace and spending more time with his son. Those plans come crashing down when Cash shows up with a cat and unconscious woman who he witnessed being thrown overboard and left for dead in the sea by goons that Cash recognizes as the cartel. When the woman awakens with no memory that job becomes harder. Soon they realize she’s Valerie Gerard a member of a wealthy family who owns King Heron, but even with her identity found they still have no clue why these people want her dead. To keep her safe and buy time to figure out what’s going on Flint convinces Valerie that there married. When the truth is out and the air is clear will Flint and Valerie find love that neither were expecting.
Accidental Shield is an excellent read. It keeps you entertained from finish to end. I could not put this book down or read it fast enough. My only complaint is that it had to come to an end. Lol!

I love reading this author’s books and this one, topped my favorite list. Meet Flint and Valerie. Valerie has lost her memories, she has no idea of her past or who she is but waking married to this sexy man, is a hardship she feels she can endure. Flint is a retired Seal that finds himself caught up in Valerie’s rescue and feels this intense need to protect her. What better way to keep her close then explain and convince her they are married? As these two play house and real feelings develop, the truth rears its ugly head and Valerie’s memories start to return. Can there be a HEA between two people that starts on a lie? What a gripping story, I was sucked from the get go and could not put this book down. The storyline takes you through literally everything everything as the characters encounter each new hurdle. Suspense, steam, secrets and surprises. Enjoy!

Another brilliant “Accidental” story in fact this is my all time favourite I devoured it so fast and then was bummed at my self for reading it so fast. Isn’t that a sign of a great read
Valerie (Val) Gerard wakes up in a strange bed not remembering anything she then discovers that the two men with her are a doctor and her husband How come she doesn’t remember that hot gorgeous man is her husband. Fl;int is an former Navy SEAL and he is keeping secrets Val isn’t really his wife but he needs her in his fortress home to keep her safe from who ever is trying to kill her. Only problem she knows he is keeping secrets and eventually her memory will return Will she forgive him his lies can they work together to bring down the dangerous man who is intent on killing her A great romantic suspense that is a slow burn but once it takes off it will melt your kindle and the one liners will have you laughing out loud
Nicole does it again. I love this series. This book is about Flint and Valerie. You have to love the banter between Flint and Doc Cash. They are too much. Doc happens to bring Valerie after saving her and her beast of a cat. Of course the only place he knows to bring her is to Flints home. She finally wakes up and finds gorgeous Mr. Sea Glass in front of her. Doc comes into the room and for some reason or another, chooses to state to Flint to keep his wife comfortable. Flint is about to kill him over that comment as he wants to tell her the truth, but it doesn’t work out that way and he now needs to keep her alive under his care. She goes along with it even though she is having some dreams come and go, but Flint makes sure to keep up the rouse of her life. They end up falling for each other, but the question is can everything she has learned and lived outweigh the lie that Flint kept up? This is a lovely story and one that you must read if you love a good SEAL story.

It’s awkward okay? I didn’t pan on waking up hitched to Hubby of the Century. Or one little misadventure erasing every memory of us. No sweet nothings. No ugly cry vows. No flipping honeymoon. If you have never read a Nicole Snow book, what are you waiting on? She is one of my must read authors and I try to never miss anything that she writes. This story is so amazing. I loved every single second of it and didn’t want it to end. Valarie and Flint will set your kindle on fire and have you on the edge of your seat. To say that these two characters have amazing chemistry is an understatement. I loved them so much. You do not want to miss this book. It’s an amazing read that I didn’t want to put down.
Valerie’s Amnesia Leads To A Fake Marriage With Flint! Their Story Illustrates Beautifully That The Past Doesn’t Need To Define The Present And That Change Is Possible With An Open Heart.
Flint Calum, late thirties, had lived in Honolulu with his twelve year old son Bryce for years – until just a few months ago when he finished building their high security new home on a quiet stretch of beach on the other side of the island. His best friend Cash insisted he would be bored, but Flint didn’t believe it. He was content to live a quiet life, having left the danger behind five years ago when he and Cash sold their security firm, Damysus Security. The two ex SEALs had started the company together after leaving the service, but their last job had left them both damaged. Flint had the scars to remind him just how close he came to losing his life and leaving his son an orphan.
When Cash shows up one night with an unconscious woman and a cat he rescued from the sea, Flint’s life becomes anything but boring. Cash recognized the goons involved in tossing the woman over and knows it means she has a target on her back; Flint’s secure, remote home was the logical place to take her. Both men have protection built into their DNA and are determined to help.
When the woman awakes with total amnesia, their efforts are essentially crippled. Cash notes the woman is terrified and instinctively latches onto Flint. Without much consideration of the consequences he suggests off-handedly that the couple is married, setting off a fake marriage scenario that Flint grudgingly goes along with. Cash, a doctor, insists she will heal faster and be less likely to consider running if she thinks she is at home with her husband, not living in a strange man’s home.
Although the men quickly identify the woman as Valerie Gerard of the very wealthy family that owns King Heron, a shipping comany that is involved in illegal trafficking, without her memory she cannot even offer a clue as to where they target their investigation.
As Valerie’s memory stubbornly fights to keep her in the dark, Flint works hard to ensure she is comfortable and happy. He knows he has no business being attracted to her, but it becomes nearly impossible not to act on the impulse to kiss her. Especially when she thinks they are married and looks at him like she wants him to kiss her. Thank goodness she respects the idea that he doesn’t want to be intimate until she remembers him.
Flint and Valerie begin a slow burn romance that gives them both a chance to leave their past behind and create a fulfilling life together. Valerie has no clue who she was before her accident, but with Flint at her side she blossoms into a strong, creative, happy woman. Flint feels the comfort of having Valerie in his life. He sees how naturally she blends into his little family and how his son takes to her. But he knows it is fake, and that Valerie will hate him once her memories are recovered, so he tries to hold back his true feelings for her. In the midst of danger and uncertainty, Flint and Valerie find love and renewal in one another, eventually earning a rewarding HEA. Don’t forget to download the free flash forward, available at the back of the book!
Flint and Valerie’s story illustrates beautifully that the past doesn’t need to define the present and that change is possible with an open heart. The POV alternates between Flint and Valerie. The book is well-written. The plot is complex but slow-moving. The characters are well-defined. I rate this book four stars.

Accidental Shield is a fabulous romance! It has everything you could possibly want and more! I loved it. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc.
I really enjoy Nicole Snow’s books. She writes well with great storylines! Flint and Valerie (love their names) had a great romance. I loved the slow burn. And Flint’s son and mom were great characters. Cash made me laugh. I’m hoping he gets a book. I loved the ending and look forward to the next book!
Flint is a single father to an adorable twelve year old named Bryce. He will do anything to protect the people he cares the most about. When his friend shows up on his doorstep with an unconscious, hurt woman he instantly goes into protective mode. Only problem, when she finally wakes up she has no clue who she is or what happened to her.
Loved reading the fabulous and awesome romance story. Flint takes care of a beautiful woman, pretending to be her husband, protecting her from a criminal organization, she has amnesia, and his son, Bryce will be coming home soon with his grandmother. Valerie starts to remember little things about herself, her cat, Savanny, but doesn’t remember being married to the handsome man, Flint. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read love story.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Valerie Gerard and Flint Calum. When this book opens Valerie is in Flint’s home with absolutely no memory of how she got there, what her name is or why her head hurts. She does know for some reason she feels safe with Flint and for her right now that is the biggest thing. When she meets with the doctor shortly after she has awoken she finds out that she is Fint’s wife which makes her even more confused but gives her feeling of safety for some reason. Flint can’t believe his friend and old seal buddy would pull a prank like that especially to a woman with amnesia. When his friend Cash however tells him how he came to find this woman and what caused her amnesia he knows he has to protect her. The problem Flint has is the line between protection and falling for this woman is getting smaller and smaller. He knows though he will do anything to stop the men who hurt her even if that means lying for the time being. Will these two find a HEA or will the people who tried to kill her the first time make sure that never happens?
This is another hit out of the park by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Navy Seals, amnesia, family ties, secrets, lies, cartels, and what comes from the tension-filled depths of it all for Valarie, Flint, and his son – Nicole Snow pulled out all the stops in her latest slow-burn twisted teaser!
Picturesque scenery, an overload of emotional warfare, and in your face characters, you cannot help but love. Unputdownable! I have read it twice already!
Nicole has such a wonderful way of writing. I was completely hooked from the minute Valerie opened her eyes and saw Flint! Someone tried to kill her, only problem is she doesn’t remember anything, not the accident, not her past, not her wedding to the handsome man standing beside her or his name? The doctor said she has amnesia, what? Who? How? I love suspenseful romance stories and this one had all the feels. A well written storyline with danger, explosions, suspense, twist and turns, and a slow burn chemistry. I highly recommend this book, well worth the read.

Loved this story. I have read several from this author and I love her work more and more with each book that I read. Valerie and Flint were so good together. They had such an intense chemistry between them. You could feel it coming off the pages. Great story with great characters and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

What a different marriage mistake storyline. I loved Valerie and Flint’s character and their relationship was fun to follow from the start. They had great chemistry and Flint is definitely swoon worthy as he try to keep a secret that he had no control of. Some drama and surprises that I did not see coming made for an entertaining read.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
This is a really good fast-paced story that is filled with drama and intrigue. The characters are incredibly likable and relatable, the hero is strong and a real alpha. Definitely recommend this book
LOVE Flint & Valerie! This story sucked me right in, and kept me turning pages. There’s a lot of mystery, a budding friendship – actually more than one, because I also enjoyed Val’s relationship w/ Bryce! We have a cheetah-cat, and TURTLES (y’all know I’m there for the turtles!), & the beauty of Hawaii.
I enjoyed the build up, that the steamy times don’t come until later into the story (because there’s so much going on!), the action & the way everything wraps up in the mystery department. There’s a great sense of family & the ending was the perfect HEA. Thumbs up!! : )
Accidental Shield is another great must read in the Accidental series from the talented author Nicole Snow. This is Valerie Gerard and Flint Calum story. Their chemistry is more hut than the sun. A charming romance adventure that takes place in beautiful sunny Hawaii, an amnesia twist, a little of suspense and a guaranteed happily ever after. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I kind of want Cash’s story now.
Flint and Valerie have a weird beginning that leads into an HEA any girl would want. She’s suffering from amnesia and has been told he’s her husband. The truth is, someone is trying to kill her and he’s protecting her. He’s a single father with one thing on his mind, protecting his family, but when did she become part of that family? As her memory returns, the chaos and feelings rocket and they’re doing all they can to discover who’s behind all hats going on with her. Their slow building love is one that will stand through time for sure though. I love these characters and the storyline kept me involved the whole way though.
Take one injured woman with amnesia, Valerie, and one hot former SEAL appointed her protector, Flint, add one naughty brother, Raymon and a handful of bad guys, Cornaro cartel, trying to eliminate the entire Gerard family the owners of the King Heron and for a little extra spice Savanny the Savanna cat stir well and you’ve got one tremendous story. Valerie Gerard was rescued from the ocean after she and her cat had to dive out of their little boat to escape a bomb. Cash, a friend of Flint witnessed this incident and managed to rescue both Valerie and Savanny. Cash takes them to his friends house and concocts the story that Flint and Valerie are married to keep Valerie from panicking waking up in a strange mans house. One thing leads to another, strong feelings develop. Evil men try to interfere. Twists and turns are introduced as Flint works to untangle the mystery surrounding Valerie and her family business. Will he and Valerie ever get their HEA and live to raise Flints son Bryce? This is my favorite Nicole Snow book to date. I can’t wait to see where she takes us next. Looking forward to the next book, Cash’s story perhaps?
