From USA TODAY bestselling author Megan Matthews comes a romance with a protective SEAL and the new girl in town. Can Crispin carry Stella’s baggage and earn her heart, or will they both end up swimming with the fishes? I took a chance on this small coastal town when my service as a Navy SEAL ended. Stopping the local drug trade is an adventure, but the true fun doesn’t start until I meet the … start until I meet the hottie across the street. She’s far removed from the crime problem, and I plan to keep it that way.
After finding her fiancé in bed with her best friend, Stella needs a quiet escape to figure out her next move. No one warned her she won’t find it in Pelican Bay. She isn’t planning to put down roots, but I won’t make leaving easy.
Throw in the notorious bakery girls and sparks will fly, too bad they’re from gun fire. As lives converge, unknown enemies come in from sea, and nobody is safe anymore.

This is Crispin and Stella’s story. As with the other books in this series, this is a story of two people finding love where and when they least expected it. An enjoyable read with likable characters.

The author has pulled us into the lives of Crispin and Stella and never lets go. It is amazing how much trouble one woman can get into when she follows her friend blindly. Luckily, Crispin is there to pull her out of the dangers.

This starts out like a normal, sweet, boy meets girls romance. Stella has just moved to Pelican Bay, away from her cheating ex-fiance and best friend. House sitting for her brother while he’s deployed is the perfect way for her to get back on her feet. Never mind that her ex likes to get drunk and send her harassing messages. Crispin Lives across the street from Stella and works for Pelican Bay Security on their drug task force. Anyone familiar with Pelican Bay can anticipate what’s coming!! Especially once Stella is introduced to the Bakery Girls! In addition to the annoying ex, Stella manages to acquire a stalker, all the while involving herself in the normal Pelican Bay shenanigans. Full of action, adventure, intrigue, and danger, with a liberal dose of humor, heat, and snark. This is a great addition of the Pelican Bay Security series, and well worth your time and energy. Happy Reading!!

This was a fun and intriguing little book. I thoroughly enjoyed every single page. I look forward to the next book in this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Another brilliant book in The Pelican Bay Security Series and it is Crispin and Stella’s story. Stella found her fiance in bed with her best friend and she needs to get away to decide what she wants to do next and Pelican Bay is just the place. Crispin is an Ex Navy Seal and he is in Pelican Bay, when he sees a beautiful woman across the street he realises that he wants to get to know her. When Stella and Crispin met they have instant chemistry but will it be enough after what Stella had gone through. Wow it was a brilliant read and great character’s and so well written and I recommend you read it.

Great read, with some humour, drama and secrets. A small town with a lot going on, Stella doesn’t know what she has let herself in for. Loved the characters and didn’t want to put it down until the end. Really enjoyable read.

Another interesting day in Pelican Bay. For a quiet town there is a lot of drugs going around. Another new girl comes to town to stay at her brothers house while he’s overseas. Crispin gets his story. Action, heat and another one bites the dust. HEA
Mathews has a flair for quirky female characters and Stella does not disappoint. After being cheated on by her fiance and bestie, she house sits for her brother in Falcon Bay right across the street from Crispin. What follows is her ability to stumble her way through a drug investigation and fall in love along the way. Accidental Risk combines humor, romance and unique characters for a fun read.
Anna moves to Pelican Bay for a change and a fresh start in life. What she gets is drama and action to the likes that it will definitely keep her mind off of the betrayal of her best friend and ex fiance. Crispin takes one look at Anna and he is intrigued thinking that she is Dalton’s girlfriend but is pleasingly surprised to find out that she is his sister. Anna has new friends and when they turn their energy into trying to find out where the drugs are coming from into their small town, things get a little dicey and could lead to danger for all involved! Will Crispin keep Anna out of the dangers lurking around them?

This book is nutty but in a good way, the main character left her life behind after her sleaze ball fiance virtually leaves her at the altar. She goes to live in Pelican where most of the residents have got crazy tendencies and character defects but in a funny good way. One of her new mad cap friends keeps getting her into dangerous situations where she gets rescued by her sexy security guy. Megan Matthews writes this with wit and humour and makes this a feel good book with enough espionage and possible candidates to rival a ‘who done it’ ? I look forward to the next install and would rate this a definite read.

This book is about a former SEAL named Crispin who goes to live in a small town and meets Stella, the young woman who is the sister of his next door neighbor. She starts to receive nasty texts and packages. As the book goes on, there are gunshots, a kidnapping and other suspenseful events – things are getting dangerous and Stella needs Crispin’s protection. So there is lots of suspense and plenty of romance as they fall in love. The things I liked best about this book were the author’s use of first person perspective {it was fun to know what the main characters were thinking) and the author’s great sense of humor {there were many funny lines). I highly recommend this book!
