Accidentally wed to a screaming hot stranger.I inherited a freaking husband.Grandpa’s will was a shocker: huge fortune, gorgeous ranch, and the best horse ever. The fine print? Marrying Mr. Grump-alicious.The man who’s supposed to protect me from…what, exactly? That’s what I hope to find out if Drake Larkin ever talks.I know what I’m in for the first time his glance tears me open.A broody enigma … time his glance tears me open.
A broody enigma who’s large and in charge.
A mute who curls my toes when he barks a few words.
A silly, shameful, is-this-real-life crush I can’t afford.
Did I mention our pretend marriage-rodeo lasts six damn months?
Long enough to teach my heart cartwheels.
Time enough to seal this madness with a kiss.
Insane enough for secrets to slip – and sting.
Grandpa’s last wishes scare me. So do Drake’s real motives.
But it’s my beast of a “husband” who makes ridiculous seem right.
Have I found my knight?
Does love have a prayer when life throws us a dragon?

Drake and Bella’s story is beautiful, courageous and unique. I savored and took my time with this slow burn. I honestly didn’t want it to end. I am thoroughly impressed by Nicole’s world building, I felt like I was there living and breathing with the characters. Her creativity, throwing curveballs every chance she got. The suspense and mystery and the heat! And Edison!!! That horse is what all little girls dream about having one day. This deserves far more than 5 stars! Perfection. I highly recommend and is absolutely shelf worthy.
Belle and Drake are destined to be together and with a little help from her grandfather and that is exactly what happens. After her grandfather passes away and leaves her the beloved ranch she has always considered her home she also gets a hot husband. Grandfather knew what was good for her and what ensues is hot romance filled with secrets. Their happily ever after is a page turner and I look forever to the next book by Nicole Snow.
There’s lot going on in this romance suspense: cat and mouse games, sabotage, contentious family dynamics with greedy machinations and so much more. It’s all wrapped up neatly by Nicole Snow. Bella and Drake practically sizzle off the page as they wade through the schemes of an old man and a bad guy bent on taking over an oil empire. Add in a remarkable scene stealing horse that you just want to hug and you have a highly entertaining book. I strongly recommend that you download Accidental Knight Flash Forward for a glimpse of Bella and Drake’s life seven years later.
I was kind of nervous about this book, but it turned out to be one of the more fun books I’ve read in a while. The main characters each had their own unique issues and quirks, and while the whole “damsel in distress” thing typically pisses me off in this case it was handled beautifully.
Yes, Bella is kind of useless at first, but she’s funny and the whole point of Drake (and of her grandfather’s scheme in the first place) was to help her assert herself more and get out from under her parents’ thumb. She was young, and definitely naïve, but the reasons for that naivety seemed plausible.
Drake was – well, Drake was basically my catnip, a damaged hero covered in tattoos, who at least had qualms about the scheme the grandfather had cooked up. He’s smart, tough, and doesn’t try to pull any “I know what’s best for you little lady” bs on Bella.
The side characters are fresh and unique, although the villains could stand to have a little more depth. (At the same time, it’s nice to have villains who are easy to hate.) The mother is terrible, but there’s an attempt to redeem her at the end. I could have lived without that, to be honest. While I’m largely over the whole “controlling mother” narrative in genre fiction, justifying her behavior with past trauma seemed terrible too. Sure, plenty of survivors don’t act in perfectly “nice” ways but also plenty of survivors manage their trauma without harming their kids.
The author also brought the treatment of Native women and girls into the story, highlighting disappearances and violence against this particular demographic. Given the location and the characters, some might see this as a little “white savior” for their tastes. It was an interesting touch to the story nevertheless.
Accidental Knight has a unique twist on the fake marriage trope. There’s plenty of sexual tension, some great suspenseful moments, and two heroes anyone can cheer for.
I received a free copy of this book for my own reading pleasure.
Loved this book and Edison.
When Bella’s grandfather passes away she inherits more then she expected. Her parents have never had much interest in Bella other then to push her to do what they wanted but after she loses his grandfather she finds out he shielded her from quite a bit. When she heads to his house that she just inherited she finds Drake Larkin. Drake has secrets that he is keeping from Bella but it is all to protect her. With her parents making a play and Drake a new addition in her life can she really trust him?
This was good and a surprise. I was not sure where the story would lead with Bella and Drake but it was a fun time reading how it unfolded. I liked Drake, he was intriguing and the way his part in the story was told was fantastic. Great read.
Great story by Nicole…again! Bella’s grandfather has died. Her parents only cared about money and not her, but her grandfather loved her more than anything…to the point that he took care of her. He left her everything including his “assistant/bodyguard.” Drake isn’t willing to share the dangers Bella is in, but he will protect her. Edmund, the horse, was my favorite character! The only issue I had was with Bella’s mother, Molly. Molly is mean and hurtful but suddenly becomes caring and friendly. It was hard to swallow. Can’t wait to see what else Nicole has to offer!
Holy crap, this book deserves way more than 5 stars!! I LOVED it!!
Bella just lost one of the most important men in her life and inherited a whole lot from him including a stubborn man. When she arrives back at the ranch after being gone for 6 years she is greeted by Edison, the 30 year old, crazy horse she grew up with. Unsure of what the next few months will hold she is determined to do right by her Gramps even if it is extremely crazy.
Drake had a hard time adjusting back to civilian life after returning from duty. After losing two important people he started to give up on life until Jonah dragged him from a ditch. He agrees to help Jonah’s granddaughter once he passes because he knows she’ll need it, big time. Last thing he expected was falling in love with her while trying to keep her safe.
This is the first book by Nicole Snow that I’ve read and I’ll definitely be reading more. I was glued to this story to the very end. I couldn’t help fall for Bella and Drake’s story and laugh like crazy at Edison, yes Edison the horse lol
Drake & Bella are FABulous! : ) I really enjoyed this quirky story. I love the pacing, the mystery, the family dynamics and the relationship building. All done so well!!! Also, we have an awesome horse named Edison who is just FULL of personality!! : )
The twists and turns in this book really pulled me in. I loved guessing what was going to happen and what the heck they were on about at the beginning. The characters are really heartwarming and I enjoyed watching them build their relationship. Oh and Edison totally steals the whole book…read it and you’ll see what I mean!
Nicole Snow nailed it again and has brought us another entertaining and steamy read filled with nail biting suspense and drama that will have you sitting on the edge of your seats.
Well written with an outstanding storyline and amazing characters whose sexual chemistry will have you blushing from head to toe.

This was a fantastic and thrilling new read in the Accidental series from Nicole Snow. Bella has just inherited land and an oil company from her late grandfather. Little does she know that she has also inherited a hotter than sin ex military turned cowboy bodyguard for a husband. Drake is out for blood and justice against a rival oil company and a serial killer sociopath wreaking havoc on towns and women. When these two meet neither is searching for love but love happens most unexpectedly. When truths come to light and secrets are uncovered can this “knight” save the day? A flirty, suspenseful, passionate story that will have readers captivated for hours. Readers will fall in love with Drake, Bella, and a blood hound of a horse. A great story I fell in love with.

I can’t say enough about how I love these books. Each book is better and better. I think it is my favorite and along comes the next. Well, here it is – Accidental Knight! It left me hungry for more men like Drake. He didn’t really know what he was getting into, but he knew that he needed to honor a promise. Bella blossomed in the story into a woman that knew her heart and found her way to love. The book had good depth, great characters, and gave suspenseful drama. And who doesn’t love a horse that is as smart as a whip and loyal as a can be! It was great that there was a nice tribute to the Enguard stories. I’m not sure I was ready to believe the total changes to everyone in the end. But that is what makes it a story, and I was happily along for the ride from the start!
I’m usually not a fan of arranged/accidental/fake marriage stories but this time I dived in blind based on my previous great experience with Nicole Snow’s other books.
I wasn’t disappointed. I loved this story. I think it definitely was one of the bests of Nicole’s work so far.
Bella and Drake were the perfect characters. Even though Grandpa Jonah no longer physically present he was still a shrewd fella. I adored this whole plan he set in motion in order to give support to his granddaughter when the time came. Everything he planned was inspired by his love for Bella and it was unbeliveably moving. I loved those sticky-notes!
What could be said about Edison? I loved that horse! I don’t know if such a deep emotional connection is even possible with a horse but it was a delight to read about it!
This story was full of twists and turns. Full of multilayered – and oftentimes right out bitchy – characters whose layers were buried so deep I wasn’t even sure they were salvageable. But they too redeemed themselves and this was another aspect of the story I loved. Those who were given a second chance took it and did good.
Accidental Knight was a page-turning read with the right amount of suspense and steamy hotness.
Accidental Knight is the story of Bella and Drake. We meet Bella at one of the lowest points of her life—the reading of her beloved granddad’s will. Bella comes from a super-rich family that is dirt poor when it comes to expressing heartfelt emotions and love for one another—except for her beloved granddad. Bella always spent summer and school breaks in the one place she felt unconditional love and acceptance and that was on her granddad Jonah’s ranch. Her granddad was the oil tycoon that enabled her mom and dad to live the plush and lavish lifestyle they so enjoyed. While her heart is breaking, her parents have to come to term with Jonah’s will. The repercussions begin in earnest for Bella once she goes back to the ranch after the reading of the will and revelation that she is Jonah’s sole heir. The only thing Bella wants is her granddad back and to see her childhood companion, Edison. Bella runs into Drake, whom she had assumed was an old Army buddy of her granddad’s, only to find out he is a hot-as-sin tatted up cowboy that had been taking care of her granddad in his last days. Unbeknownst to Bella, Drake had team up with Jonah and put a plan in place to keep Bella safe from her parents, as well as the vultures who would prey upon her newfound wealth and try to wrestle control of the oil company away from her virgin hands. Family secrets are revealed for both Bella and Drake and they must decide which has the greater hold on their present—their pasts or their future. Drake is a complicated hero who has a darkness about him that he wraps himself in as a cloak of protection. Bella is soft and idealistic and opens her heart easily to others, all while being savvy to what is going on around her. The sexual tension between Bella and Drake is off the charts and when their feelings can no longer be corralled…watch out! This was a good read—sexy, hot hero, smart/sassy heroine and characters that made you hate them but you felt invested enough to want their redemption. I would recommend this book. I admit that I was an ardent fan of Ms. Snow’s MC books, so I knew her writing style could easily adapt to this genre and I was not disappointed! The hero trades a steel horse for a four-legged horse and GMC truck, but all the hotness that I loved about her stories was present and accounted for in this book. One-click. You won’t be disappointed!
Bella’s grandfather wanted to make sure that she was taken cared of and that her parents didn’t sell off his entire estate. So even though he left everything to his granddaughter he also had her married by proxy so she would be protected. Drake is the companion that has helped her grandfather the last years on the ranch and just so happens to be her husband. Bella knows that she has every right to be upset about being tricked into the marriage but she knows her grandfather didn’t mean any harm by it. Drake knows its supposed to be temporary but suddenly things with Bella become very real between them. Will Drake be able to handle the threat to Bella before it becomes bigger than they thought? Can Bella and Drake be together for real given how they started out?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
I love this story because it has a fun and sexy story line and I love Edison!! I can’t express how much I think you will love this story. First it’s written by Nicole Snow, second it’s a sexy alpha male and third I could relate to Bella’s struggle and feel what she was feeling. I really think you should as this to your the pile! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Loved it.
Smoking Hot. Accidental marriage at its best.
LOVED ACCIDENTAL KNIGHT
Annabelle (Bella) Reed loved her Gramps, and the feeling was entirely mutual…..With absentee parents, Gramps, who was very wealthy, pretty much raised Bella…..Gramps dies, and leaves EVERYTHING to Bella…Her bratty parents aren’t happy, and me, I want to take a hit out on them….One of Gramps’ conditions in his will: Bella has to live on the farm she loves so much, for 6 months….so Bella goes home….and not just because Gramps has an airtight will…..Bella has always loved her Gramps’ farm, but when she arrives at the farm, she sees she is not going to be living alone….Gramps has thought of EVERYTHING …….
Drake Larkin is ex military, and has been faithfully, taking care of Jonah Reed and his farm in his last four years….Jonah trusts Drake more than his own son, so, Jonah has entrusted Drake with Jonah’s most valuable asset (Bella)……….Drake is a very important part of the plan, Gramps put in place for Bella’s safety and security….from her parents or anyone else who comes after her……..And they do…….
I loved ACCIDENTAL KNIGHT……I have loved all of the “Accidental” books. by Nicole Snow…..I think one of my favorite parts of ACCIDENTAL KNIGHT, is the reunion between Bella and Edison….it put tears in my eyes….And his post-it notes everywhere…….But, it’s Nicole Snow, so you know it’s a hot book and a great story……
