Accidentally engaged. Then he dared me to make it real.It was one freaking kiss with a stranger.I wasn’t looking for a hero the day Brent Eden charged into my life.He saw a damsel in distress facing humiliation. We played pretend. Swore I was his. Baited sweet chaos.Blew apart everything. My dating disaster? Gone. Our kiss? Electric. Divine. Toe-curling.His mistake? Oh, boy.Dropping the ultimate … Toe-curling.
His mistake? Oh, boy.
Dropping the ultimate F-bomb: fiancé.
Especially when my gossipy cousin tells the whole family.
Forget how he’s badass personified.
The ink. The leather. The abs. The smirk.
The lightning eyes and the growl I can’t resist.
Nothing changes the fact that he’s my favorite student’s father.
I’m risking it all for this charade. And I’m losing.
The closer we get, the deeper I fall.
The louder he vows to protect me.
The more we come undone.
Even my questions have questions.
What if I’m not the only one who needs saving?
What if our marriage mistake gets way too real?

Accidental Hero by Nicole Snow a fantastic five-star read, I loved this book so much, Isabella Derby is a great character from the way that she is with her students to the way she is with a man she shouldn’t be. There is also a great little girl called Natalie who will bring some comedic value to the story, as well as some heart. If I’m being totally honest I want a man like Brent Eden to look at me like he looks at the ladies in his life. Add to that he’s a stone-cold hottie bad boy and you have a man that would make a nun blush. But it’s not just a story of him being a hottie, there is so much drama and passion mixed into this story that you won’t be able to out it down. Thank you Nicole Snow for being an amazing author.
This is a great single dad finding love story with strong, believable characters. I love the way the author brought Izzy and Brent together. They had amazing chemistry and I loved his devotion to his daughter. Another great read full of romance, suspense, twists and a great HEA.
Accidental Hero was a great read that intrigued me from the beginning and left me with a smile on my face. When Izzy and Brent first meet their is an instant attraction that both struggle to deny. I enjoyed the fiery push and pull between them. As sweet, shy and kind as Izzy was she wasn’t afraid to throw some sass Brent’s way. Brent is an caring, protective and alpha as can be single dad. Izzy’s sweet and sassy nature intrigues him more than he’d care to admit. I love how the slow development of their relationship caught both by surprise. With a bit of action, sizzling chemistry and some unexpected twists these two kept me hooked until the last page. I can’t wait to see if a certain meddling cousin and Grizzlie get their own story soon!
This story was very good and also well written. The characterizations are fantastic. The dialogue between characters, is at times, simply hilarious. The verbiage from the daughter borders on cheeky at times. One episode of the daughter responding to a missive from her father was to say to him, “No stress”. She is only ten years old but is a very well put together, highly intelligent and a perceptive mini adult. The extended family involvement and shenanigans add to the comedic relief of the drama, mystery and tension encapsulating the two main characters. This was a multi-faceted story with many elements to go along with a smoking hot romance. The main male character is the ultimate in steamy, focused, smouldering sexuality. YUM! The main female character was so down to earth and accepting of her family, well she only tolerated them at times. All issues were resolved and this couple attained their happy ever after.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel Hidden Gems ARC Readers and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
One bad boy, one sweet art teacher and one adorable little girl to bring them together. I don’t know why I’m continually surprised that I love each book more than the last from Ms. Snow. I always am slow to start the book because I just know that I’m going to attach so emotionally to the characters. Accidental Hero was no exception. I loved the story from the first page through the end.
Oh boy, oh boy!! Another homerun, 5***** hit written by Nicole Snow. This story was so good and the feelings between Brent and Izzy sizzled and crackled each time these two were together. I’m not just talking about the sex (that didn’t happen until about 50% in to the story). These two characters are the perfect compliment to each other. Brent is a single dad with a prodigy daughter (Natalie) who is 10 yrs old and in the 8th Grade. She is his world and he will do anything and everything necessary to keep her happy. Isabella (Izzy) is her teacher at the private school where she works. She loves her job and her students and even though she is enamored by Brent she knows that teachers and parents aren’t supposed to fraternize. When Brent looks at his daughter he goes from a sexy beast to a teddy bear in moments. Swoon, I think I was hooked by his character at this very moment in Chapter 1. Then when he steps in and potentially saves Izzy from a past date gone wrong and says that he is “Nothing and no one” and claims Izzy as her fiancee, I know that this character will stay with me long after I’ve read the book. He becomes her protector, even from her family who can be quite nasty with their remarks. I could go on and on but I’d rather you read the book and enjoy the ride as Brent and Izzy fall in love. Lots of twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you keep turning the pages and devour their story. **I did receive a copy from the author and this is my honest review.**
Accidental Hero is a collection of four stories about hardass military guys trying to make it on the domestic front. While I don’t mind the first person narrative, using it for both her and him is annoying. I know military guys cuss allot but Ms. Snow seems to use the F bomb more than anyone would actually speak it. IF you enjoy the hardcore bad guy good girl romance then you’ll enjoy this series.
This is my honest and completely voluntary review of this ARC.
Teaching art has been a lifetime dream for Izzy (Isabella) and she is finally given a chance to do that. Granted it is as a substitute but she is still teaching. There is one particular girl in class that has an extreme amount of talent and an extremely hot father that picks her up from class. Like clockwork, at the same time, right there he is. Her thoughts move from art to him, if only he would notice her.
Muscles of steel, hotter than sin, former Army man, single father, all of this describes one man, Brent. His daughter is in an art class with a very attractive teacher. He comes early to the end of class, stands in the back, and uses his imagination and draws himself. He doesn’t let on that he has these feelings, but man if she knew what he was thinking or drawing…..
Izzy is confronted by a guy she met through a dating app. It took a half of a date before she left and never called or texted him again. She is caught unaware by this jerk after class one evening. He is overly possessive, making a lot of threats. What jerk wasn’t counting on is Brent coming to Izzy’s rescue. The jerk is removed, but not before something big was said. Brent is on protective mode for Blue (his personal nickname for Izzy) and his daughter.
What started off as a rescue quickly escalates when her busybody cousin gets wind of Blue and Brent, as well as Brent’s daughter, Natalie. That night when something was said has led to this. And how wonderful that it just so happens to be in time for another family members wedding. The tension between Blue and Brent is incredible….acting on their feelings though always seems to have a bit of a hitch to it. There is so much at stake for both of them if they pursue this, but the heart and body want what they want.
Threats made, the person leading the nightmare for Blue and Brent is a bit of a surprise you didn’t see coming, the jerk making one more appearance. Then finally the tension between Brent and Blue is no longer kept at bay. Blue and Brent give in to one another and no there is no getting enough. Small things start happening until Brent’s past comes to light, just in time for a final show down with the nightmare and its leader. Brent realizes that when his dark past comes to life, Blue isn’t judging him or turning against him. No, she is right by his side, allowing him to be him. They realize when this horrible event is taking place what they truly feel for each other.
Nothing will ever be the same, but that is okay with Blue, Brent and Nat (his daughter) because now the nightmare is over and their future is shining brighter than ever.
I didn’t get what I was expecting with this one. Judging by the blurb, I thought I was getting a cute, lightly angsty fake boyfriend romance. I love fake boyfriend romance. Thought there might be some comedy involved. What I got instead was a fake boyfriend, biker, former military, single-dad, artist, alphahole sexfest-that-turns-to-instalove where all the problems that occur could’ve been avoided through adult conversation. (But on the other hand, I’m glad the hero wasn’t also a Navy Seal rockstar, because THAT would’ve been over-the-top cliche instead of just annoyingly cliche like this hero was.)
Here’s what went wrong for me:
Alphahole alert:
Brent is a rude asshole for more than half the book. He pretty much treats the heroine like crap, drags her into a fake relationship, then lies to her about his reasons for dragging her into a fake relationship, never letting her know that she’s in danger just for associating with him. And he totally blows off her concerns about losing her job for fraternizing with a parent by calling her dream job “just a teaching job”. His implication that her job isn’t important and she should just do what he wanted her to do made me want to nut-punch him. (The fact that he’s trying to protect her from his family mess by being a supremely bossy a-hole doesn’t make me want to nut-punch him any less.)
Another virgin. Sigh:
Yep. Izzy is a virgin. It wasn’t a big deal in the story, so I didn’t see the point of it. Are we to assume that if she’d had more sexual experience she wouldn’t be worthy of her HEA with Brent? (Brent, who admittedly had TONS of sex with motorcycle club groupies, by the way.)
Bullshit meter:
There were quite a few times when my bullshit meter was tripped while reading this story:
1. I find it hard to believe that the school would fold so easily on their policies based on one rude father’s threats. Brent didn’t have any real power over them. I don’t think any school principal would have cowered like the one in this story did just because Brent threw around some threats about taking his daughter out of the school.
2. Izzy is barely 23 and has her master’s degree. Something seems a little off about that.
3. Izzy has, like, 3 orgasms the first time she has sex and isn’t at all sore the next day. Yeah…that doesn’t happen, no matter how much of a magic dick the hero has. (And don’t even get me started on the fact that she “felt something tear” then all the pain and discomfort went away, replaced by pleasure. Again…no. It doesn’t happen like that.)
4. In the course of this story, Izzy transforms from virgin pre-school art teacher to gun-toting badass. The transition is less than believable and happens SUPER quick.
Izzy isn’t at all mad when she finds out that Brent has been hiding crap from her that put her life in danger. Either she’s an idiot, or a doormat. I’m not sure which option I find more offensive.
A stuffed book:
This is yet another example of a stuffed book where the expected content ends at about 40% of the story, and the rest of the content is extraneous crap I didn’t ask for. I HATE it when that happens.
At the end of the day, I give this one 2 stars. 1 star for Natalie, Brent’s daughter, who was adorable, and 1 star for the fact that it wasn’t so poorly written I wasn’t able to finish it. (I’ve had WAY too many DNFs lately, so I don’t take the fact that I was able to finish reading this lightly) But that’s about all the positives I can muster on this one.
Isabella Derby is a 23 years old preschool teacher by day and has been teaching an art appreciation class for 3 weeks by night. The part time job is only as a substitute at the elite private academy with a wait list for teachers and students as long as Route 66. It’s an unfamiliar district with students she’s just beginning to get to know, but it’s everything she’s dreamed of. Not only does it bring her in an additional income but gives her the reprieve she needs from her nagging family. You think yours is bad? It’s not that she hasn’t had accomplishments with her Masters Degree, she just doesn’t have a man, marriage or babies. There’s plenty of time for that, good grief! But the family loves to have those dinners where gossip is bandied about and they’re, especially her cousin Clara, is quick to remind her she is single and doomed to be the crazy virginal cat lady by the time she’s 80.
Natalie was the exception to the age requirement in her class. At only 8 years old, she was showing signs of being a prodigy and according to what she’d been told, her father Brent Eden, had pulled strings to get her enrolled.
Brent Eden, father to Natalie, is tall, dark and brooding. Every forbidden archetype stuffed in one package. Mysteriously sexy by default, imposing by gravity and protective by virtue.
He comes into every class 20min before it ends wearing his black leather jacket with military patches, straight back, chest forward, disciplined and hard. Such a contradiction because as hard as he comes across it’s obvious to anyone in their company man lives for his daughter.
Who would’ve thought I incomplete blind date could bring about a set of circumstances that has these three individuals so inadvertently intertwined into utter chaos.
This ARC was given to me for my honest review and is the first book I’ve read by Nicole Snow and must admit to being pleasantly surprised. The storyline itself has twists and turns keeping the reader intrigued, wanting to follow closely for the outcome. Her characters are three dimensional with personalities that are relatable, whether good or bad, making your inner self cheer or boo. Definitely a 5 star recommendation!
This is romantic, amusing, intriguing and sweet. Brent is intense, protective, brave, funny and charming. Izzy is kind, brave, independent and smart. After claiming to be Izzy’s fiance, Brent takes his role seriously. Especially after she is threatened by some bad guys. Their relationship turns from fake to real as one dramatic event leads to another, culminating in a fight for their lives.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Exclusive ARC. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

OMG, this was an amazing but beautiful love story about Isabella (Izzy/Blue) Derby and Brent Eden that involves a fake engagement, murder, mystery, crime syndicate, and passion that continue to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating story. The story held my attention, was exciting and it was so well done; but it also was heartwarming, emotional, and humorous at times. Izzy is a preschool teacher, who has a blue streak in her hair, and she has always dreamed of teaching at the prestigious academy school ever since she was a kid, but Izzy’s first love is teaching art. Brent Eden is handsome, sexy, tattooed and very alpha male, who owns his own crime cleanup company, and he is the father of Natalie (Nat), who is 10 years old, and she attends the academy as well as Izzy’s night art class. Blue as she is referred to by Brent are drawn together like the proverbial moth to the flame and their chemistry is palpable, reflected in every look, every touch, and every word uttered between them—the sex is off-the-chart hot! Brent finds that Blue challenges him like no other woman has before. Brent and Blue must battle with their responsibilities, secrets, issues from their past, and the emotional conflict inherent in their relationship is well executed—I was rooting for them throughout. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next with lots of romance while the strong charismatic characters draw readers in and refuse to let go. You will love this book, and it will draw you in from the beginning to the end.
I received this book through ARC but I’m voluntarily leaving this review. This was a great book. It had a handful of great characters. Loved the matchmaking family from Izzy’s side. Even Nat Ethan’s daughter had a hand at trying to make Ethan and Izzy a couple. Unfortunately there were threatening things they were faced with. Nicole Snow did a great job. I really love how she brought suspense, danger, comedy and romance all together in one book. I would definitely recommend.
I did not know this book was a spin-off of another series until I read the reviews after I finished the book. Neither the hero or heroine held my interest, Natalie was the best character in the book. I couldn’t tell if the author wanted this to be a single dad book, a MC book, a damsel in distress book to a romantic suspense. In the end I felt it succeeded at none. I also found the sex scenes distracting from the story. My opinion.
This was a fantastic story! I loved Izzy and Brent! The chemistry between these two was undeniable. There was romance and a single dad with a little bit of drama and suspense thrown in. What more could you ask for? I was pulled in from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. I would definitely recommend reading this one.
*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
this was an amazing fake marriage type romance story, with a great plot that has tons of twists and turns, great emotions, plenty of emotion and steamy times too.
I received an arc of this story that i happily reviewed
Let me start off by saying LOOK at that cover!!! Holy Hotness!!
This book has everything you want in a book. It will keep you on the edge of your seats one minute, and the next have your heart melting! Brent is a single dad to Natalie, who is a child prodigy. Izzy is the new preschool teacher who also teaches the after school art class with Natalie in it. The attraction between Brent and Izzy is instant, but its also forbidden. When lives are put in harms way, Brent stops at nothing to keep his family safe, including Izzy.
This is such a good read!!!
You know a book is amazing, and deserves more than 5 stars when I received an advanced copy & still had to buy it to show not only my support to the author but because it was WORTH IT !
Everything about this read was amazing and had me turning the pages, the slow burn between Brent & Izzy (Blue), the young daughter, Nat, that stole my heart, Blue’s crazy family & their antics, the suspense, the steamy oh my steamy make my spine tingle need a cold glass of ice water scenes & most importantly Brent & Blue. The story flowed beautifully w/o missing a beat, and I was sad when the story ended, wanting more of these two & their family.
Brent, a hard a** man with stares that are like ice one minute & then an inferno the next. Blue, a shy, kind, generous school art teacher with a spine made of steel who doesn’t let Brent get away with anything…a match made in heaven. These two had sparks flying off of the pages and what I loved most was the honesty between them, sticking by each other and not only that but what happens after when she finds out the whole truth….LOVED LOVED LOVED IT ! This author just keeps getting better and better, an author that doesn’t need over the top drama between the couple, doesn’t need women coming out of the woodwork making the man look like a man wh*** and jealousies, doesn’t need break ups for the couple to realize what they have to keep me turning the pages….refreshing and LOVED IT !
Nicole Snow always surprise me. Once again she has wrote a very hot, steamy, romance story that will make you want more.
Brent Eden was this sexy bad boy who was trying to do what was right. He wanted to be an example for his daughter. He had a dangerous past and unfortunate danger had came his way with no fault of his own.
I found Izzy very interesting. She was a woman with a big heart. Here she was trying to live her dream. She had always wanted to be an art teacher and now she was getting to do that even though it was being a substitute. I love the passion she had for what she did.
I loved that Natalie which was Brent’s daughter was brought into the story so much. I love we got to see what type of dad Brent was. I love we got to see the little girl who had just as much passion as her teacher. As the story went on we got to see her blossom some.
I laughed so hard when it came to Izzy’s family. Her cousin was more funny then Izzy’s mother. I love how we got to see how protective Brent was of Izzy when it came to her family. Not all her family was kind. I could see why Izzy avoided them as much as she did.
My heart broke for Brent when it came to the loss of his brother. He had so many unanswered questions and I found that so sad. I hated how he beat himself up all the time for his brother’s death.
There was a lot of hot steamy parts. I truly could not get enough and so glad I got a chance to read the book.
Izzy is a pre-school teacher who teaches art one night a week. In her art class is Natalie a ten year old prodigy. Natalie’s dad is Brent a former member of the mob. One night Brent rescues Izzy from a terrible date and claims her as his fiancé. So begins a fake engagement with witty fun banter as the story unfolds. Izzy’s unique family adds interest and humor to the mix as this couple battles their feelings for each other. Can a HEA be achieved against all odds, Brent’s past haunts him and makes him fear for anyone he loves. Love a Nicole Snow story and this one is no exception.
