This is not your typical love story. It’s raw, it’s intense, and it will piss you off. A lot. It did me anyway.
Shame and Breeze were so infuriating, frustrating me often with some of the decisions they make. I just wanted to shake some sense into them. When you meet them, you’ll realize that wouldn’t have helped at all. Both so stubborn. Yet I couldn’t help but root for them.
But finally, we get to see how everything plays out. The pieces of the puzzle finally came together.
Happy ending? Yes.
The journey getting there? Rough AF.
I fell heart first in love with this series and a huge part of me is sad that it’s come to an end. These characters fought with everything they had, loved passionately and gave us A LOT of drama that kept us entertained.
Accepting Shame was the grand finale in the Irish Bastard Series and we certainly got an eyeful. The drama was through the roof and with the upcoming trial for Shame, it was expected. Facing time away from the love of his life and threats to his gang, Shame is going through a rough patch. Recounting the months that led too where they are now, Shame and Breeze takes us back to where it all began before things became complicated and let me tell you….. it wasn’t easy.
With the trial now upon us, will Breeze and Shame finally get a break and have some good news to start off their future, or will it end in suffering? I had so many emotions going on while reading this book because I knew that it was the last one and a part of me wanted to hold on so tight to these characters and go back to the very first book. I saw the innocence, witnessed the makings of dangerous plays of enemies, and saw real love between two people who became each other’s saviors.
Now as much as I love these characters and this series, I had a few problems with this book and the main one was that there was just too much unnecessary drama for me in this one. I wanted the focus to be on Shame and Breeze with the trial and their plans for the future but there was just too much back and forth and nothing was solidified. I was losing hope at one point and became extremely frustrated with these characters to the point where I really questioned their love. Reading those parts was not easy and I’m so glad I got through it to see the ending!!
I think this series is worth taking a chance on but please be aware that this is not a hearts and flowers romance book. These characters will frustrate you while making you fall in love with them at the same time. They’re ruthless, funny, unforgiving and when they love?… it’s worth it.

I was helpless to finish up book 2 and head right in to this one!! These two put me through the wringer and the Author gave us glimpses and tugged it right away, and the constant chaos that is their lives just completely threw me for a loop. I laughed, I cried (hard), I became so frustrated with these characters because I just wanted someone to find happiness after all the tragedy. Not saying if I was redeemed because you need to find out for yourself, but I was super satisfied after the incredible journey the Author took us on with Shame and Breeze. An amazing way to spend a weekend binge!!

I really like the writing style of this author the point of view from both main characters, is done very well. The beginning of each book is the present day, the author then does a great job of telling how they got to that point. Will read more by this author.
