Loved Riley and Haddie’s story!! They didn’t know, at first, that they shared a similar background. Haddie grew up thinking one way, and found out in a devastating way that what she thought she knew, wasn’t really the way things were. Her journey to find herself brings her to Chapel Cove and a meeting with Riley. From there, they find love. Riley helps her find her way back to God, and also helps her find family. Can’t wait for the next book in this series!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
Accept Me by Marion Ueckermann is a most delightful contemporary Christian novel and part of the Chapel Cove Romance series. It can be read as a stand-alone but I enjoyed meeting up with familiar faces.
Marion Ueckermann always writes novels that warm and soothe the soul. She draws characters that always move into my heart.
The novel explores the impact of shifting foundations on a life. When all that felt familiar and all that we built our lives on is shaken to the core, what do we do? “If she wasn’t still angry at God, she’d have shot a prayer to heaven.” When life throws us a curve ball, we either move closer to God or further away but He never moves away from us. We need to “let heaven give you the hope you need.” God can take our anger at situations. We need to give our anger to Him and exchange it for His peace. We need to know that “even when we can’t see it, God is good.” God is faithful and He will patiently wait for our anger to subside.
Our inheritance is importance. We all want to know where we come from.
Adoption is a theme which reminds the reader that we are all adopted into God’s family. Our birth parents may reject us but our heavenly Father never will.
The novel has the twin themes of rescue and healing. God rescues us from our situations and heals our hurts.
There is a wonderful community atmosphere in Chapel Cove. The residents take strangers under their wings and welcome them in. Hearts and lives receive love, hope and healing.
As a character searches for their roots to find out where they belong, they receive an epiphany – “With God at her side, anywhere was home.”
I adored Accept Me. It was a charming read – a hug in a book. I loved it. I always love Marion Ueckermann’s novels. If you have not read one, you are missing out.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
I absolutely love this story it is one of the sweetest love stories that I have read. I fell in love with these characters right from the start. I hope Cara shows up in the next book because I can’t wait to meet her and see if her and Pete hit it off. I don’t ever want this series to ever end. This is such a sweet series.
A wonderful continuation of an amazing series by amazing authors. This book by Marion Ueckermann has loss, hope, trust, faith, restoration, family, love and more. Losing a parent is hard, but learning you are adopted at the same time brings another set of emotions to deal with. Come to a quant small town in Oregon where friendships are forged as a search is on to find Haddie’s birth mother. On this journey she finds more than she ever imagined when love blooms and a father is rekindled. Will she find the mother she is looking for or go home wondering why her mom gave her away? Come on this delightful journey with Haddie and see what she finds on the way.
Accept Me is another wonderful addition to this charming & delightful series! I love that each book in this series has titles that describe what we all can easily relate to, as we each want to belong, to be accepted, to be remembered, to be chosen, to be loved, to feel cherished, to be held, etc. – all things that we feel when we are safely anchored in God’s love and let our hearts respond to another’s love. The small town of Chapel Cove continues to capture the reader’s hearts as each story reveals more of it’s charm & character with almost realistic people who continue to captivate the readers’ hearts & imaginations, taking us into their struggles, joys, & triumphs as they learn to turn to God & trust Him to use each of their lives’ situations, even the hard times, causing all things to work together for their good, although they don’t always realize that God was really in control. The author infuses this story with little pearls of wisdom and nuggets of truth, touching on forgiveness, good morals, letting former failures & heartaches cloud our judgement & fill us with unfounded fears, faithfulness, godliness, our tremendous need to feel accepted & wanted, especially by our parents, our desire to belong to a family, and the never-ending pursuit of our loving Heavenly Father Who patiently keeps drawing us nearer to Him, helping us to accept the things we might never know, while resting in the knowledge that He knows – and that’s all that really matters.
Here are some of my favorite quotes:
– “Riley cared little for the praises of men or women or what they thought of him outwardly. He was more concerned with how people perceived him as a person. Just like God, who looks at the heart. Character was of more worth than countenance.”
– The Lord used those hard years to shape me, and I can promise you this, Haddie…even when we can’t see it, God is good. Never forget that.
– Pastor Don had preached a powerful sermon on the lost sheep, something she could relate to well at this point in her life. In fact, there were times in the service she’d felt like offering a feeble bleat to heaven.
– Fear wrapped sharp claws around her, drawing her into its vile embrace.
Life can throw you for a loop sometimes and you don’t think you can keep your head above the waves, but there is hope.
This was a sweet story to read. While reading this book by Marion Ueckermann, my emotions were taken on a wild ride. It was well written and flowed smoothly, so smooth that in the end, my heart was tumbling all over the place. I loved how this ended up being a story of hope. Hope in a God who loves us and wants our best even when things look like they are falling apart around us.
This is book 8 in the Chapel Cove Romance series, and we find a new twist to the main story. Yet, not really, it’s more of a continuation and extension to the main story! If you’ve not read the other books in the series, then you might want to, so you can meet some of the wonderful characters who are throughout this book. The characters in this story are written in such a way they are real and believable. I’d love to meet them.
This series is written by three fantastic authors and they each add delightful dynamics to the sweet town of Chapel Cove. They have made Chapel Cove so real I want to go there, HOWEVER, it’s not real. Oregon is my favorite state so I should know. My mind knows this, but my heart wants it to be real so I can meet these wonderful characters.
If you want a fun heart-warming series to read and to hear of a beautiful place called Oregon, then you need to pick this book and this series up.
I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Haddie is a amazing woman who is trying to get answers about her birth.
When Haddie goes to Chapel Cove looking for answers her life will change completely. Riley is a wonderful Christian man who is always there for anyone who needs help. When Haddie and Riley meet both of them can feel a attraction towards each other. You will feel God working throughout this wonderful story. Marion Ueckermann is a amazing Christian author. Her books are impossible to stop reading. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review and I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.
Accept Me is such a beautiful story of acceptance – accepting WHO you are-who God made you to be. Accepting God’s will, being able to see the blessing in the journey. This book really spoke to my heart! And it is such a lovely romance with all of the wonder characters in Chapel Cove and a bit of an unexpected, but very exciting surprise…. 😉 NO SPOILERS!
Haddie Hayes heads to Chapel Cove in search of her mother. Riley Jordan is the EMT that loves helping people. We see Ivy of course and many familiar names as the story progresses, along with a few new ones. Haddie has always been shy, and the trip and stress due to the cause of it, as well as losing her adoptive mother is too much for her medical condition. Riley is one of the EMT’s that attends to her. Beautiful story, with great characters and another hard to put down addition to the wonderful series.
Accept Me is a very well-written romance that deals with tough subjects, but leaves the reader feeling good at the end. I loved Riley and Haddie and very much wanted them to be a couple. Ivy, who provides Haddie a place to stay adds so very much to the book. Her humor and her caring nature makes me want her for a next-door neighbor. The plot has some twists and moves at a good pace. My only complaint about the book was that Haddie didn’t go about her search in the most efficient manner. The characters’ faith and struggles are woven naturally into the story. I loved that there were really two HEAs, only one was the romantic kind. There’s a great epilogue with the sweetest proposal. I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this wonderful romance.
Sitting at her mother’s deathbed in Kentucky, Haddie Hayes discovers awful information about her past. When her father confirms the truth of her mother’s words, Haddie travels to Chapel Cove, Oregon, hoping to find the answers to all her questions in this small town.
Accept Me is a lovely, God-centered story. It was wonderful to return to Chapel Cove in this story and meet old friends again.
