Well written, witty, and all consuming – Accacia’s Curse is a great read for lovers of RH paranormal/fantasy romance.
Bea Paige has really brought us into an amazing world of witches, “vampires”, wolf-shifters and curses. We follow Accacia through a very short period of time as she learns about a world she never knew, and about the prophecy that involves her. However, through all this she never just bends to the will of other people – the signs of a true kick-ass MC.
I truly love the way that Bea has put pen to paper (or word-to-page) in this story. I honestly started it and could not put it down (even though my clock read past 2am!). I cannot wait to read Accacia’s Blood when I get the chance and continue on with this story!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author for review consideration.
I read Five Gold Rings prior to this and it really set the stage for what was to happen in the first installment in Accacia’s trilogy. Accacia is a strong, intelligent female character. I loved the portrayal of the scientific nature of Accacia and her search for truth. While this book focuses on Accacia and Rhain the relationships with Ezra and Devin aren’t completely pushed to the side. I can’t wait to see where this series goes next.
Great start for a new and refreshing RH novel about vampires!
Accacia was born with a rare blood disorder and therefore can’t go out in the daylight. She’s utterly alone in the world but does’nt dwell on it. She searches night and day in her lab for a cure for her rare disorder. One night she’s ü attacked and this incident will mark the beginning of a turbulent journey for her that shows her a whole new world. Being confronted with the reality of another realm and paranormal species will turn her structured life upside down. Accacia thought not being able to go out in daylight was challenging, but learning you’re playing an important role in a prophecy to save the world is a challenge on a whole new level. She’ll get help from three diverse and comlpex vampires who’ve all got a past. So she has to handle them and their contradictorz behaviour on top of all this.
Bea accomplishes to bring fresh air in the vampire and mythology genre! Accacias Curse has a wonderful and unique setting, action, intense feelings and an interesting development of the characters relationships. Its making me curious how they ll work out all their problems and Im really looking forward to the next book!
Accacia’s Curse is a fantastic introduction to a new series by the author Bea Paige. This first book introduces readers to the main character Accacia, who is allergic to sunlight, but has no idea that this is because she is from another world. Over the course of the book, readers are introduced to Rhain, Devin, and Ezra of Clan Lux from the world of Ever Vale, a land ruled by a cruel witch who has cast a spell on the people who live there. Though Accacia is reluctant to believe the tale that Rhain, Ezra and Devin are telling her, she cannot deny her attraction to them and her desire to know more about the role that she is destined to play as the story unfolds. This book left me wanting and wondering what happens next for Accacia and her guys. If you enjoy books with paranormal love stories, quests, and compelling characters than this is definitely the book for you.
Can’t wait for more
4.5
I quite enjoyed this book though slow burn is hard for me sometimes. The writing and pacing is great. I’ve gotten to start getting to know these characters and this world and I hooked. I’m ready for more and I definitely recommend this book.
he author blends the traditional mythology of vampires with a new take on them beautifully. The story drags you in and makes you not want to stop until the book in done, then leaves you awaiting the next book.
WOW!
This story took me by surprise. Accacia (Cia) and her disorder were really interesting. She seemed so helpless and I was relieved when Rhain makes his presence known. Cia was very frustrating in instances. I understood what she was going through and I was happy once she realized that they were there to help. I’m so looking forward to seeing where the next book takes her. Even though she’s frustrating don’t give up on her. I have a feeling she’s going to grow immensely in her role in the prophecy.
I was introduced to this series by another author group….and it is great! I liked the dynamic between the main characters. The storyline is new and refreshing when some have been overused. Overall great book!
One of the best reverse harem books I’ve read!
Oh my gosh, fantastic story from the first page to the last. Accacia is a scientist with a rare skin condition that does not allow her to go out into the sunlight. Or so she thinks!!! Her life is turned upside down when she meets three gorgeous vampires, Rhain, Devin and Ezra. She learns of a prophecy, clans, magic, and a whole other world within days. Talk about overwhelming. On top of all this, feelings build between her and these wonderful, engaging, enthralling vampires. She must fight her heart, an obsessed co-worker, and many other dangers at once. Bea Paige weaves this all together with such delicate balance and beauty. I am ready to follow Accacia and her vampires into whatever danger unfolds.
Book one in the Sisters of Hex series. What a strong start to a new series. Meet Accacia who believes she has that disease that makes her allergic to the sun so she has grown up inside in the dark all her life. Now she is right that the sun will hurt her but her reason why is a little off. She excels at working in the lab but one night a co-worker of hers will not take no for an answer. Just when she thinks things are going to go bad she is saved by a hot guy that she has never seen before. What makes it even better is that he will not go away and he comes with two more equally hot guys. These guys are from a whole different world and so is Accacia. To make it even better they obviously have a secret that they wish to keep from her but in the mean time things get nice and steamy with one of them. This is a great story that is full of magic, danger, suspense, fantasy, erotica, and more that will truly keep the reader hooked until they hit the very last page. Since it is a RH novel I imagine things will heat up even more in the next installment which I am really looking forward to. I really enjoyed it so i give it 4/5 stars.
Accacia is an intriguing, strong, lead. She has endured a lot of pain due to a genetic disorder that prevents her from being in the sun, and if she is her skin burns. I like that she has found ways to have a “normal” life. She is lonely, but she doesn’t feel sorry for herself. I like that all of the characters – the main and secondary are so distinct. I didn’t quite feel the emotional connection between Accacia and the 3 guys, but I felt the potential and I am intrigued to see how her relationships develop with each of the guys as the series continues.
