I don’t think I’ve ever, in all the books I’ve read, had such a change of heart about a character in an instant like I experienced during the first two chapters of Absorbing White. They were so hard to read because I can get very attached to characters and I certainly have with this couple, but my feelings instantly changed about Alex and I absolutely loved this! That particular scene was incredible because of the effects that the authors words had on me, and set the book up perfectly for what I was about to read.
You will have read the first two books in the series by now, so you are aware of the troubled background of Alexander White. I felt that love had changed Alex and I think that’s why I was affected so strongly by his actions towards Beth, who is the love of his life. We had been warned and indeed have already seen what Alex is capable of, and I really appreciated how the author wrote this book so to give me further understanding of the person that Alex is and why he needs to do what he needs to do. Beth is his perfect partner. She has changed so much over the past three books but even though she is happy and willing to be the person that Alex needs, there were scenes where I could see she is still the Beth that we first met and loved, and I valued this.
Once again I did not want to put this book down until I had reached the end. I’m aware that Pascal Van Der Braack’s story is there to be read and I believe that hearing his side of the story will give further insight into the world that both Alex and Pascal are a part of. I would love to know what happens next to Alex, Beth and Pascal, and also Belle and Conner too. I do think there will be more about this story as there is a certain character who I wonder if we will see more from – you will know who I am referring to when you get to the end of the book.
Absorbing White is a fabulous and gripping read, just like the first two books in this trilogy. I am certain that I will be spending the next few days thinking about this story and I hope you will enjoy the trilogy as much as I have.
What a amazing book that will have this series going smoothing. Their just isnt enough words to tell you the story i cant get enough. This is a book that you will want to read. This author has done it again with the amazing writing. This book their just isnt any words to describe its story. I so cannt get enough stars for this book. I cant wait to read the next book in this series. This is a very intense read that will have you hooked on this series.
There are no words to explain just how this book made me feel. A fabulous continuation of a wonderful series that has completely blown my mind. Alex, Beth and Pascal will always have a special place in my heart and if you want to know more I suggest you read because as much as I could rave about this book, this is series, there is no way I can do it without spoilers and I absolutely refuse to post those so go, now, read and enjoy
So, Absorbing White starts off where Feeling White leaves us and right from the start we are thrown straight into the thick and are left to flounder scratching our heads in confusion, What the hell is going on?
I felt like I had been plunged into an episode of the twilight zone and hadn’t been given a script.
Such is the brilliance of this series, never having a clue where the tale will take us next, you think you know where your heading then out of the blue
BAM!!!
Everythings topsy turvy.
just as Alex excels with his head games so does our wordsmith Miss Hart and this makes for never a dull moment in our saga, constantly keeping us on our toes and chasing our tails.
So Absorbing white gives us a much deeper insight and finally brings Pascal centre stage, which he so deserves with his theatrical persona and sexy stick and we finally get to really scrape beneath the pretence, outing and revealing things that were hidden.
I also found myself much less comfortable with certain things in this book, it really stretched my boundaries and I found myself questioning my concepts of what is normal and who gets to decide these things.
This is a so much darker read than previous books which I wasn’t expecting at all, but contrary to this fact, I really enjoyed absorbing White, my only gripe would be the ending.
I felt the finale was a bit unresolved, maybe, I’m hoping there possibly might be a book four on the horizon fingers crossed from me.
So in conclusion really enjoyable read that stretched my boundaries and really kept me guessing.
Oh, and sister Belle was back in major BITCH MODE!!!
Knew it was too good to last, Beth? just disown the bossy cow
just thought i’d mention it lol so do enjoy all that is White.
I know I did.
