The devil in my nightmares is the man of my dreams. For the past three years, I’ve been running from a man I’ve never met. A man who carries a grudge. A man who specializes in revenge. I thought I had it all—a career and a new home in a sleepy small town. My world comes crashing down when a sexy gang member from the city arrives at my job, wrapped in tattoos and sinful smiles. Beneath his … Beneath his flirtatious facade beats the heart of an angry man. I’ve committed the one sin he can never forgive. I stole from him, and he won’t be satisfied until he’s repaid with the money or my life.
They say there are two kinds of power: power derived from fear and power obtained by acts of love. Cash Delacorte holds them both over my head. He’s everything I never wanted: dark, deceptive, and dedicated to a life of crime. He’s determined to pull me into the darkness with him, and the thing is—I want to go. Every kiss, every lie, every punishment propels me into a future I never dreamed possible.
Will I choose the darkness or escape into the light?

Holy Moly!! What an intense, exciting, chemistry-filled story!! One that actually has me rooting for the “bad boy”. There are so many twists and turns. So many events that pulled at my heartstrings and brought a tear to my eye. At one point, I wanted to take Jagger by her shoulders and shake her to find out exactly what she was thinking!! And then there’s Cash. One minute, I think he has a heart as big as he is and the next makes me want to knee him in the jewels!! And don’t get me started on Jag’s sister …. What a piece of work!! There’s a huge cliffhanger at the end, so be prepared, but my word, it’s so worth it!! Jeana E. Mann has done her job well because I can’t wait for the next one.
Another do not miss by Jeana Mann!
Rating:
I’m not sure if I liked the Hero!
The book itself was good, I just don’t know if I liked the Hero or not. The Hero, Cash Delacorte isn’t your average rich, successful businessman. He also is not really a mobster. He is a former gang member that has left gang life and moved up, so to speak. He is rich and owns a nightclub and a Jewelry store, among other businesses but he seems to make most of his money in jewelry heists and bribery schemes.
The heroine, Jagger Jones is the manager and part owner of a small Jewelry store/gallery where she designs her own custom Jewelry. Jagger’s sister, Callie used to work for Cash and was his girlfriend, but Callie betrayed Cash, stole $200,000 and skipped town to New York with her new Mobster boyfriend.
Cash tracked down Jagger because she stole a ring from him and was caught on video feed. She wanted to see if was good enough to make a fake that was good enough to fool people. She made replica of a ring just like a ring in Cash’s store, with fake stones. Jagger then went to the store to try on the real ring and while the jeweler wasn’t looking, she switched. However, Cash tracked her down and wants restitution.
Cash had already been dreaming about Jagger after seeing her on the video feed. Then when they meet the attraction between the two is hot. Cash is a powerful and dominant man and Jagger is a bit more innocent and naïve. The romance is steamy (Heat: 3 Flames out of 5 ). However, I guess I just didn’t understand Cash.
Cash demands that Jagger pay him the sister’s 200,000 in addition to the price of the ring she stole. He threatens to make her disappear if she doesn’t pay up and he doesn’t give her long. At first, I just thought he added on the sister’s debt because he wanted Jagger and would eventually forgive the debt, but even after he starts sort of dating her, he still demands the full amount.
Then there are other times where Cash protects Jagger and treats her very well. So I guess I didn’t get it. Also he knows that she is stressing about the money and putting herself in debt to pay it off and he seems to be very wealthy so why does he care about that money? He ends up saying he is doing it to push her to be better, but that just doesn’t hold water. How many of us in the world are deeply in debt and did that make us better?
Anyway, I did understand some of the motives Cash had by the end of the book and maybe we will understand him better in book 2. He was pretty mysterious and wouldn’t answer Jagger’s questions about his past. Overall I did like the book and will read the next one. I just wish this one was longer and had more background.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
I was so happy to finally know what happened to Jagger and Cash after reading about them in a previous series The Ruthless Knight, which concentrates on Jagger’s sister. In this story Jagger was supposed to lay low when her sister sent her to the U.S., to Indiana. Instead, Jagger finds herself getting caught up in a jewelry forgery scam which put her on Cash’s radar once again. Cash has moved up the criminal chain and has been waiting for the day when he found one of the sisters. He takes Jagger and decides that she will be the one to pay back what he is owed by them both. As they spend more time together Jagger gets confused because she realizes she is beginning to have feels for Cash, which is very confusing for her. The story ends on a huge cliffhanger but do not worry as the next book is already available!

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Jeana E Mann is not a new to me author and I was really excited to get this book delivered, especially knowing how powerful her writing is in the other books that I’ve read by her.
Jagger and Cash are a whirlwind of emotion that I wasn’t yet ready for. Their story took me on the ride of my life. This duet didn’t feel as powerful as the other works by Jeana, and unfortunately I was not able to connect to either of the characters on the level that I was needing to make this book even more powerful.
Due to the lack of connection to the characters, I wasn’t able to connect to their story either. It was a good story, good plot line, but without a solid connection, it didn’t pull me in the way I wanted it too. I was easily distracted while reading it instead of completely sucked in to the story.
Even though I didn’t have the connection I wanted, I still felt as though this story was good. It lacked depth for me, but that isn’t to say that it would do the same to other readers. Jeana has a powerful way of writing and her attention to detail is impeccable. I will definitely continue reading her work.
Three stars for this thrilling ride that left me feeling disconnected.
4.5 stars
This was my first book by this author so I was really looking forward to reading it. I really enjoyed the story. It was a pretty quick read with plenty of twists & turns that made it impossible to put down
Absolute Power by Jeana E. Mann is the first book in her Absolute Power Duet . This is the story of Jagger Jones and Cash Delacorte. If you have read previous Jeanna E. Mann books you may recognize these characters but reading prior books is not necessary to enjoy this duet, just be prepared to know who is already matched up and has had their happily ever after. Jagger is an independent woman who is supposed to be keeping a low profile but cannot help herself and gets embroiled in jewelry forgery and gets called out by none other than her sisters nemesis and the very reason she should be in hiding in the first place. But the Cash she has heard about from her sister is not quite the same man that is trying his best to ruin her life. Even with his seemingly malevolent intentions there is a buried tension and chemistry between these two. But what happens when the man who tries to ruin you could end up being the one who saves you? Loved it! Ends on a cliffhanger but book two in the duet is already available. Enjoy!

Absolute Power
Absolute Power Duet #1
By: Jeana E. Mann
REVIEW
I have loved every Jeana E. Mann book I’ve read, and Absolute Power did not disappoint. The story of Jagger and Cash is dynamite! Jagger is, unfortunately, caught in a bad situation. Cash has no intention of letting her out of said situation. He wants money that Jagger doesn’t have, but what can she do? I didn’t love Cash, but I didn’t hate him, either. Jagger has my sympathy for what is happening in her life. Still, despite the crime and the danger, Cash and Jagger share a dynamic filled with tension and heat and desire. Two people at odds but totally hot for each other? It makes for a good time read with all the feels. I’m excited to read the next book!
Absolute Power (Absolute Power Duet#1) by Jeana E. Mann is a spin off of the Royal Secrets Trilogy. This is a fast paced read that will captivate from the beginning. Jagger is trying to help her older sister repay her debt to Cash. Turns out Jagger owes a debt to Cash as well. Cash is, well a criminal in his own right and he’s that perfect character that you just can’t help but love…I loved the dynamic between these two and I can’t wait for more!

3.5
I’m a fan of Jeana Mann. The Royal Arrangement was my first ARC and read from her. The Pretty Broken series was addicting as well.
I’m writing this review for the whole duet as one book is pretty short to write about.
The blurb was intriguing that’s why I signed up for this one.
This duet is an amalgam of mafia romance, enemies to lovers, boss-employee and in love with your sister’s ex-boyfriend.
It was a slow-burn for me even though their relationship developed fast. It wasn’t as gripping as I thought it would be and I didn’t really connect with any of the characters, but it’s probably just me…
Jagger jones and calliope jones didn;t have the best of up brining .calliope had to do unspeakable things in order for her and her sister to survive years before cash Delacorte had took in calliope and their relationship started but she wanted out and ran, but took cash’s money with her and she also got Jagger out but send her in a different direction. Cash finally caught up to Jagger and wanted what she and her sister took he wants revenge.. this was such a complex read because after having a relationship with calliope her sister he has a relationship with Jagger now. and he s not and easy man to get along with. This was a great read and I highly reccommend it

This book has it all and keeps you hooked from the first pages. The detail is what keeps you hooked. The ending leaves you needing the book! Passion and fire.
She pulls one too many cons and he is coming for revenge
I love Jeana E. Mann’s books and with Absolute Power, the first book in the Absolute Power Duet, she did not disappoint me. The story of Cash Delacorte and Jagger Jones is so well written that you can picture everything as you are reading, every facial expression, ever location, every emotion and more. Jagger is the sister of Calliope, her story is in The Ruthless Knight. When Jagger, Calliope and Cash pull their last job together things don’t end as they expected. Calliope and Jagger were able to get away but they need to split up so Calliope sends Jagger to the States with the money and instructions to lay low. When Cash finally crosses paths with her again in a little town in Indiana it is revenge he has on his mind.
This first book ends with a cliffhanger so you will need to read the second, Absolute Trust, to find out what happens and just how the story of Cash and Jagger ends. But it will be so worth it!!!
“Are you jealous, Jagger?”….
“Yes.”….
“Finally we’re getting somewhere.”…
Jagger thought she would start a new life in a new city. Looking for a peaceful place, this jewelry artisan used her sister’s generous gift to start over. But the visit of a mysterious and dangerous man at her jewelry store will prove that the past always returns to settle the score.
Cash does not have a good reputation. The former gang member is now a rich and powerful businessman. But illegality is still part of his life and being fooled is something that cannot happen in his line of work.
Trapped in a larger debt than expected, Jagger, in addition to having to pay back the amount she stole from Cash, will have to pay the money her sister stole from her ex-boyfriend as well. Money that Jagger used to start over. With no way out, she will be drawn into the dark world of this man, who arouses both her anger and fascination.
First part of a duet, the book is a spin-off of The Ruthless Knight, since Jagger’s sister is none other than Calliope, Nicky’s girlfriend.
With a darker, more intense tone, the chemistry between these two reaches stratospheric levels. Jagger may be sweeter and naive than her sister, but deep down she likes danger. Cash hides a secret, and despite being a criminal, he sometimes shows a more caring side.
With a plot twist at the end, the situation of the protagonists is not the best. Dragged into this mess, Jagger may be the salvation or ruin of Cash. Only the next book can tell what will happen.
This is book one in the Absolute Power Duet and is Cash and Jaggers Story, Cash is a bad guy and wants revenge and Jaggers the one to pay not only her own debt but that of her sisters aswell. This couple cannot help but want each other, a good quick read and I’m looking forward to the next read . I’d recommend this book.

Jagger and Cash are two characters that are brought together over money owed and something that was stolen. The chemistry between them was intense. Cash and Jagger are the type of characters I either wanted to cheer them on or shake them to make them realize how perfect they are together. This is a well written, intense romance with well developed characters and a cliffhanger that left me wanting more.
Jagger is jewelry designer who is in deep. She has been making forgeries to scam jewelry stores and one of those stores belong to Vash Delacourt. Cash is ruthless when it comes to business but something about Jagger intrigues him. Their past was intertwined through Jagger’s sister Calliope and now Jagger owes Cash a debt she cannot pay.
Great beginning. I loved the story. There were many unpredictable twists. I cannot wait to see where they lead.

Wow, I was glued to this book with each twist and turn!
I hated Cash with all he threw at Jagger to overcome for her theft but more her sister’s Calliope’s theft 4 years prior. Cash continues to rule over Jagger’s life requiring her to do a job for him then Jagger deciding to use her specialty to get the money to pay Cash off. Jagger’s struggles to escape Cash’s control will frustrate you as Cash continues to insert himself in her life and this undeniable attraction spins out of control between them. But when Cash does unexpected for Jagger, you will be more confused. Can’t wait for Absolute Trust to come out to wonder where it will all end!
This is a new author to me, and this book is brilliant. It’s part one of a duet so it does end with a cliffhanger and I can’t wait for book 2. The plot, the characters are all written with depth and are fantastic.

Jagger thought she was starting a new life, but she finds herself in way over her head with her schemes for gaining extra money . . . and with Cash Delacorte.
Cash Delacorte isn’t a good guy. Alpha, cocky, sexy and so damn charming. He wants his revenge and his money. And, he wants Jagger.
Good grief, this book is fast paced and crazy hot. Cash and Jagger have incredible chemistry and heat which is showcased with their dirty talking and sassy dialogue. It is clear Jagger needs to walk away, but can’t. And, for some reason Cash won’t let her anyway . . . .
There is a cliffhanger but we knew that going in, and and it’s a rapid release with Absolute Trust releasing ASAP . . . and thank goodness for that!
Jeana E. Mann’s Absolute Power is an absolute thrillride and I need more of Cash and Jaggar’s story now! 5 stars!
